I appreciated how they had a technician come and give a comprehensive quote, and followed up. They shared everything ahead of time and were professional. We had 900 sq. ft. insulated for $3.8K and found that the quote and pricing was fair. The only few complaints I would have: 1. When the insulators arrived they said they needed a parking space, but no one ever told me this ahead of time. We ended up scrambling and asking our neighbor if we can use their space 2. After the insulators left, some of the furniture was left in weird positions and I spent 1 hr fixing everything 3. I initially contracted with Insulation Alliance to insulate a couple of walls and a portion of the attic space. Since there was way more rat feces than expected, the entire attic was cleaned, pest proofed, disinfected and multiple layers of R25 were put down. I had a radiant barrier installed on the part of the roof facing south. In addition, they air sealed the openings in the attic floor. The crew was timely and they worked hard. The operation is clean -- painters plastic is wrapped around the areas they are working to keep the dust and fiberglass out. They removed all old insulation and trash. The entire operation took a few days. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to air seal the top plates in the attic when it was clean. Overall, the crew worked hard and fast. 3 years ago we had our insulation "re-done" but it was poorly done and caused us a lot of issues. I shopped around for licensed contractors and received a total of 5 quotes. Insulation Alliance offered to re-do the entire attic plus air seal the attic for a little more than the other vendors quoted me to simply "patch" up the missed areas from the previous work. They also sanitized the attic before installing the new insulation which was a huge plus for me. I was supper impressed with the work done, from the set up, to the insulation to the cleanup. They completely blocked off the entry way all the way to the hallway where the attic entrance is located. I recently purchased a house in foggy Midtown Terrace. After noticing a pretty big humidity problem in my downstairs bedroom (humidity constantly in the 80s), I did some research and confirmed the previous owners didn't have much insulation in the walls or attic.
