Attic Insulation - The image shows foam insulation installed in an attic space, situated beneath wooden beams and a metal duct. The foam appears to be freshly applied, covering the floor area of the attic. The setting indicates a residential or commercial insulation project, with the foam providing thermal and air sealing benefits.

This review is overdue as I got my insulation done back in June. Anyway, Miquan (the project manager) was very responsive and his bid was very competitive with the other bids I got. One of Johnson's benefit is that they are Bayren contractor and I was able to get a 1500 dollar rebate. Just to note, not all insulation contractors are Bayren approved. They insulated my attic and walls in under a day. There was a slight mishap during the installation but Miquan got on it immediately and resolved the issue same day. I'd totally recommend Johnson's Insulation!

    Attic insulation

Competitive pricing, professional team and on time execution. I had both attic and crawl space insulation replaced, the team executed as planned. I highly recommend them.

The image shows an attic space with visible wooden rafters and beams. The floor is covered with pink fiberglass insulation, which is used for thermal insulation in residential buildings. The insulation appears to be spread across the attic floor, and the space is enclosed by the roof structure. There are no other objects or features visible in the attic.

Johnson's did our attic insulation. The work is nicely done with R49 insulation bats. Oscar and his guy are the actual installer. They worked diligently for an entire day to remove all the old insulation, cleaned rodent waste, and sanitized the attics. They came at another day to put in new insulation which made a difference immediately. Miquan was very knowledgeable about the Bayren rebate program and he visited our house during the project to make sure everything goes well. They are very reliable and provide great customer service.

Spray foam - The ceiling is partially finished, with spray foam insulation applied between wooden framing. Electrical wires are hanging down, and metal channels are installed for lighting or fixtures. A plastic sheet covers part of the window area, indicating ongoing construction or renovation work.

The day of, whoever we were confirming with wasn't sure what the job was, which should have been our first clue things were going downhill. We have a baby and we have to plan everything around naps, so i said we we were free from 10-12. They said they would be here at 12 and the cleaning would take 25 min which was pushing it for us with a 12:30 nap. 12 came and nobody arrived. I texted asking if they were coming, nothing. I reached out to communicate that they were so late, we can't do it anymore, and asked for availability for next week. Nothing. Half an hour passes and I finally get the baby down for a nap and the DOORBELL RINGS. We have a huge sign on the door that says "do not ring the doorbell -baby is sleeping." I think it can't possibly be the cleaning guy, I already texted him and the sign clearly says don't ring. I finally get the baby back settled, he rings the doorbell another THREE TIMES. I'm absolutely livid, the baby is crying, the dog is barking, and the guy on the porch has the audacity to say he hit traffic and still wants me to let him do the job. Incredulous. Terrible communication, terrible responsiveness, and I have no idea how the work would have been, but after that experience, I'm absolutely not going to give them another chance at rescheduling. My whole day is off the rails with an agitated, overly tired baby, and my dryer line job is still not done. What a mess.

They took the time to explain my options and helped me choose the right Mitsubishi system for my home without any pressure. The installation itself was efficient and well-organized. The crew showed up on time, kept everything clean, and completed both the heat pump install and duct replacement with great attention to detail. You can tell they really know what they're doing. What really stood out was how seamless the whole process was--from the initial estimate all the way through permits and final inspection. Everything was handled properly, and I didn't have to stress about any part of it. Overall, a very professional and reliable team. After doing a lot of research we came to the decision to go with Element. They replaced our whole system, new ducting, zoned the system, and removed the old insulation in the attic, sealed everything, and installed new insulation with our new HVAC System. I was very please with the professionalism, communication, and overall work performance of Element and the crew. Cesar was at the project the whole time which I very much appreciated. He isn't just the person who puts together bids, he was up in the attic helping the crew complete the job. That was a nice surprise and much appreciated. I would definitely recommend them and will most likely used them in the future to insulate our crawlspace.

There has been this persistent smell of rodent urine in one of our closets for literally decades, no matter what we have done. Not any more! I could not recommend Rywen Insulation more highly for rodent control work. We've had rodent control people here before, but never at the level that Rywen takes things to. They put in place genuine long-term preventative measures to keep rats and mice out, not just patching holes. And that has made all the difference. No more smell in our under-the-stairs closet! And, I'm not sure if it is always a part of their service, but they offered us a one-year warranty. Rats and mice did return --- probably due to a contractor leaving our crawlspace door open overnight with the lights on, several times (oops). But Rywen took care of the problem immediately, no questions asked and no additional money requested, for the entire year of the warranty. They aren't cheap. But they are soooo worth it.

We initially agreed to have both the attic and the crawl space insulated. When I told Gabriel that the kitchen fan is currently venting into the attic, and that we need to find a roofer to make a hole to vent it outside, he offered to connect the fan to an existing fan, at no charge. We later changed our minds about the attic and decided to just have the crawl space insulated for the time being. But Gabriel insisted on fixing the kitchen vent anyway, even though his men no longer needed to climb in the attic at all. I protested, but he said he'd agreed to do it, so he will, still at no cost. I was flabbergasted by his generosity. The three young men who work for him were all sweet, polite, and arrived early, and left the place spotless, both inside and out. (As opposed to another company whose inspector left muddy footprints all over the beige carpet, even after I laid down some newspapers.) I can't recommend Gabriel and his company enough. He treats his customers as if we were family. Oh, and there's ALWAYS a nice secretary, Jesiemae, who answers the phone and books you an appointment on the spot. No annoying voicemail tags. Thank you, Gabriel and your staff, for letting us start the new year in a warmer house!

I was initially impressed with what seemed like a thorough and well-considered estimate. It felt…read morelike the team really evaluated my attic and cooling needs. The addition of two QuietCool fans also seemed like a major plus, as I was already familiar with the product and expected it would significantly help with cooling. When it came to the insulation work, I was very pleased. The crew did an excellent job removing the old insulation and installing the new. They worked efficiently, protected my floors well, and ensured that no insulation debris entered the living areas. That part of the job was handled professionally. However, I was less impressed with the radiant barrier installation. This may partly be due to a misunderstanding on my end, as I expected a different type of material, but the end result did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was the installation of the fans. At best, it was very poorly executed. The fans are 16" units with 12" duct openings, yet they were installed directly against the gables, which severely restricts airflow. Proper installation should have included a box or shroud to help direct airflow effectively through the fans. Because of this poor airflow, the fans do not cool the attic--in fact, they appear to make things worse. I can actually watch the temperature on the thermostat increase when the fans are turned on. I reached out to my representative multiple times, but the response was disappointing. I was told they could not take the fans back, and when I asked why the attic temperature increases when they are running, I was told there was no explanation and nothing further could be done. As temperatures continue to rise, I'm left frustrated that I spent $1,200 on two fans that perform the opposite of what was promised, with no meaningful support or resolution offered. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, I was contacted by both the project manager and the owner. I reiterated the reasons for my frustration, explaining that my review reflected my honest impression of what I saw as a lack of clear communication and effective management of the project and customer expectations. The project manager apologized for the communication breakdown and asked if I would be open to giving them an opportunity to make things right. A technician was then sent out, and he took the time to fully understand the issue, carefully examine the installation, and make several adjustments to the original work. He believes these changes will help improve airflow in the attic. Since my attic has some unique characteristics, he also provided helpful suggestions for additional ways to improve cooling and airflow--something I feel should have been addressed during the initial planning stage of the project. Whether these changes will result in significant improvement remains to be seen; I'll have a better sense once the weather warms up. I do appreciate the follow-up and the willingness of the project manager to reach out and try to make things right, and I have updated my review accordingly. That said, I want to be clear that the increase in my rating is largely due to the technician and the time he invested in evaluating the full situation, as well as both implementing and proposing thoughtful solutions.
