He conducted a thorough investigation and by the end of it, not only had I learned a bunch of things I had previously misunderstood but he laid out what work I should actually consider and in what order. No hard sell. No BS. He literally said the words "here's what I would do if it were my home" before laying things out in priority order and detailing what he deemed necessary and why. That's exactly the type of professional I want because you can tell they truly have your best interests in mind. His team was also great when it came time to do the work. They went extra distances left and right to fix things along the way and point out new issues. We live out in the country on a big property, and rodents in our walls and the crawlspace under our house has always been a problem for us. There has been this persistent smell of rodent urine in one of our closets for literally decades, no matter what we have done. Not any more! I could not recommend Rywen Insulation more highly for rodent control work. We've had rodent control people here before, but never at the level that Rywen takes things to. They put in place genuine long-term preventative measures to keep rats and mice out, not just patching holes. And that has made all the difference. No more smell in our under-the-stairs closet! And, I'm not sure if it is always a part of their service, but they offered us a one-year warranty. Rats and mice did return --- probably due to a contractor leaving our crawlspace door open overnight with the lights on, several times (oops). But Rywen took care of the problem immediately, no questions asked and no additional money requested, for the entire year of the warranty. They aren't cheap. But they are soooo worth it. read more

I have a property in east bay and the tenants are very messy and cause the rodent issue, I hired another pest control company since February 2026, they came on weekly basis and set up traps and stations, it did not help. High quality service with warranty. I feel stupid for ignoring rat noises for so long. If I had called someone like Rywen earlier and sealed my house, I wouldn't have had to deal with rodent damage to my car and to my insulation. Also learnt the hard way that (1) don't use rat poison because it works it is a bigger mess dealing with dead rats (2) nothing else except for sealing the house actually works. Rywen Insulation are true professionals, from quote to completion. We received 4 quotes, and Axel from Rywen was by far the most thorough. He even came back to inspect another area, and give us various options. The crew did an incredible job on day 1: sealing the house while vacuuming out the old insulation and then sealing and sanitizing every nook and cranny. On day 2, they installed the new insulation. Rywen did a great job helping my house with rodent problems back in July. Shoutout to the crew that came to the rescue during the hottest two days in July. It was 95 degrees, and the attic and crawl spaces were unbearably hot. They came out and got the job done. I started hearing rodent noises in the walls a couple weeks prior, and the smell of death from underneath the kitchen was unbearable. I had several teams come out for inspections. Rywen's quote wasn't the cheapest of the bunch, but it was the best overall package. They walked me through problems in the attic and the crawl spaces, and showed pictures of droppings, chewed up wires and insulations, entry points, and various problem areas. They were responsive with my followup questions and concerns. I ended up opted for replacing attic insulations, in addition to cleanup services. Other observations: * the horrible smell from underneath the kitchen went away days after the cleanup. I think it takes time for the odor to completely dispel. * I heard noises for a couple months after the installation, and initially thought the problem came back; but it turns out it's house noise -- likely due to the installations expanding and weather changes. Highly recommended for insulating my attic with foam and subfloor with bats. They redid the recent job of an unlicensed contractor who ripped me off. If I had checked the contractor's license bureau, read the negative reviews on Yelp and ignored its' stars and '"erified license", the job would have been done right the first time and for less. Comparing legitimate companies, Rywen was not the cheapest, but their inspection was more thorough so I chose them. Noise wise, their equipment compared to the unlicensed one was definitely better. Phone ocalls were promptly returned and Miriam spent time helping me download the many before and after photos. Obviously, the "boss" uses the photos to check the work, and I received a call telling me they were coming back to make a few corrections that I wouldn't have noticed. It is a rare company these days that provides old time, first class service and work product. Rywen is one of those companies. Rywen was contracted to remove, decontaminate, and reinstall insulation, repair damaged duct work, exclude and exterminate rodents and install a vapor barrier. The project took five, full days of hard work. Axel Galicia was the estimator and also the project manager throughout. His estimation was spot on and the only addition was the replacement of two air ducts which could not be accessed during his original estimation and inspection. The projects were documented with before and after photos. All of the crew members were respectful and careful of the property. Axel was able to recommend other repair work which was needed for plumbing and roofing. These items were repaired before the new installation and duct were installed. I solicited bids from five other companies. These companies ranged from large to small firms. Rywen's quote was thorough, explanatory, contained quality materials and reasonable. They were not the least expensive. Nor were they the most expensive. They were the most comprehensive. They are licensed, bonded and insured. They are a local family company. Had a great experience with Rywen Insulation. I had a serious issue with rodents. Called and received an immediate response from Rywen. The owner (Roni Galicia) came out first to take photos and videos of the issues and he went over everything with me to show me what was going on. They sent out their team the next day on Saturday and had the basement totally cleaned up and secured by the end of the day. They set up traps and came back a few days later to follow up and make sure everything was taken care of properly. They are full service, I had a water pipe leak and a problem with the toilet seal leaking and they took care of that also (along with replacing insulation, repairing door entries, etc. They are thorough and Roni is a very responsible person who is a good communicator and wants to make sure the job gets done right.
