I hired USA Spray me in Dec 2024 to replace my attic and crawlspace insulation. Andrei came out to give me a quote (2nd highest) and appeared professional, but the experience was entirely the opposite. 1.The crew showed up and no one spoke a work of English. Not a big deal, however, they did not sanitize or clean the crawlspace despite including that in their bid. No one could provide an answer due to the language barrier. I eventually tracked down the project foreman who argued that cleaning was not in the scope of the project until I showed him their contract. 2. They did not protect or cover the attic entry, leading to the sides getting stained blue from their tubes. The entire house was freshly painted 4 months prior. Andrei initially agreed to personally fix up the paint and ghosted me after causing an extra $500 to hire a painter. 3. The most egregious issue - the crew used my bathroom and urinated all over the floors and walls. They didn't clean up and left it looking like a truck stop bathroom. Andrei did not send his crew to clean up or offer a credit to hire someone. I paid nearly $15K and ended up cleaning up after a bunch of disgusting, filthy men. Did I mention they repeated this behavior on days 2 and 3 despite requesting that the crew be mindful of their cleanliness. I hired another company to insulate my walls and they brought their own port-a-potty and took great care to avoid damaging my walls. read more

I wanted to hire an insulation company to remove original insulation, air seal my attic, install baffles on all the eave vents (to keep the new insulation from blowing away) and blow in fresh cellulose. I had three companies come out and bid the job, all three bids came in within 5% of each other. The sales rep at USA Spray Me was the most professional and had a detailed bid in my inbox same day, so I decided to move forward with them. The project is a little tricky given access is tight near the roof eaves, so perimeter air sealing and baffle installation is challenging. We discussed this aspect specifically during the bidding phase and all three contractors assured me they would be able to handle it and included this in writing in the bids. The insulation removal phase was relatively uneventful, however things took a bad turn during the install phase. I asked the foreman how the perimeter air sealing was going and was told that they are making good progress but a few of the places were out of reach, which seemed reasonable. I explicitly asked to inspect the work prior to blowing in the cellulose, so was surprised to hear the insulation blower turned on. At this point I asked them to pause and went into the attic for inspection. I asked the foreman to show me the perimeter air sealing and he was not able to show me a single drop of foam, when pressed he admitted that his foam nozzle is too short (4") and he couldn't reach it, he did not have the long nozzle with him. Furthermore, the baffles were installed incorrectly (picture attached) and did not block any of the wind that would be entering through the rafter vents, rendering the baffles completely useless. I was told the crew would come back tomorrow with long reach foam guns to fix their work. I spoke to the sales rep as soon as the crew left and was informed the job has been canceled and they would not be returning. TLDR: They tried to pull a fast one by not fulfilling the challenging parts of the bid and immediately blow in the cellulose before I could inspect the work. When asked to rectify the situation they walked out on the job. This is a substandard and dishonest company I subsequently hired Eco Attic Systems, that did the job perfectly for the exact same price read more

I contracted with USA Spray Me, to blow insulation into my ceiling due to the impact noise above, and to do spray foam in my basement ceiling, due to the chilly wetness in my unit. The salesman was informative and a pleasure to do business with. The crew showed up on the day and time that they said they would. They tented the inside of my unit, and my condo was clean and neat afterwards, which was a big relief. The work was well done and as contracted. And the best part is that my condo is now cozy, nice and warm. It made a difference on the impact noise, and the noise from above. My condo is staying nice and warm without having to run any heat, even in the rainy cooler temps. Before the work, during colder temps, it was warmer outside, then in my unit, which was always noisy, chilly and drafty. I am pleased with the work and would highly recommend USA Spray Me. read more

Closed-cell spray foam in the crawl space, to include exterior walls, all ducts and pipes under the house as well as removal and disposal of the old batt insulation. Dan, the sales guy, said they don't do written contracts but just verbal agreement. I didn't feel comfortable with that, especially since they guarantee their work for 20 years, so I requested a written contract and warranty papers. Dan said he trusts the workers who do the job and that the workers will complete the job in one day. The reality was quite different from what was promised. Day 1: The workers didn't finish the job, so said they'll come the second day to finish it. Day 2: Out of the 4 hours the workers were here, they'd only worked for about 1.5 hours. They'd spent the remaining time standing around and talking amongst themselves. Something didn't feel right to me because there was a lot more to be done than 1.5 hours worth of work. Therefore, when the workers said they'd finished the job and left, I ended up crawling under the house myself to see what's been done and how since there wasn't an official state or county inspector coming at all to check the job was done to CA code. In other words, the workers performance isn't regulated officially by any governing body, so I had a strong feeling to inspect it myself. My strong intuition was right. The job was sloppy and far from being done. I immediately contacted Dan, the sales guy, and sent him pictures as proof. He contacted the workers and asked them why ducts, pipes, exterior walls were not done and some spots were patchy where the foam wasn't covering the entire structure. The workers had no excuses so said they'll come the third day to finish the job. Day 3: The workers spent close to 4 hours quickly finishing the job after I called them out on their sloppy performance. Dan, the sales guy, felt bad about the bad experience I had. Dan apologized profusely and later came over to inspect the job himself and bring me a few steaks as an apology. P.S. As the foam was drying, so within the first 24 hours, it emitted heat, so I had to lower my thermostat to 3 degrees F lower inside my house but after that, the thermostat was set back to normal temp. The foam is good for sound proofing since I no longer hear the outside noise of the highway or anything else going on outside. read more

These guys were top notch from start to finish. They came out to give me an estimate and explain everything I would be getting in the process, etc. to the very professional installers. My attic was full of debris from putting on a new roof and heating system as well as old insulation. I had no experience or knowledge of insulation prior to calling these guys, so I really put all of my trust in them, and it worked out really well, thankfully!. I had a serious noise problem with my upstairs neighbor and had to mitigate the issue in short amount of time. Amazingly, Max and his team were able to come out on a few days notice and they got everything done within one full day. His team was extremely professional and very through and careful about everything. And nice- they even offered me lunch! I was worried about potential issues with my many recessed lights, but they were able to work around them really well. Pricing was not too far off from the estimate, which I appreciated. Max said he couldn't guarantee that all noise would be 100% gone, which was totally fair, and it ended up being that most of the noise issues were much improved than prior to the addition of insulation. My house was built in the 50's and I had my interior walls foam insulated along with my attic and omg the warmth difference is astounding! First of all we had a very steep timeline to do insulation as we needed to vacate our rental home and move in, initially our plan was to install rigid foam board for ceiling insulation but found out that, it will not be the best plan esp for r value due to our ceiling studs can only accomodate 2x4 which is about R15 max using rigid and not good and recommended for ceiling so the next best to achieve R30 is to do spray foam insulation, fast forward, I had contacted multiple insulation contractors/company thru Yelp and USA SPRAY ME was the most prompt of all and has given me the price estimate I am asking for, unlike other companies who'd want to come and look the site first before they can give u price estimate (I always hated this kind of conversation where they would always want to come over to tell you the cost! I understand they had to see the scope of work but ballpark price for sure they have as they do this work all the time which they could have given as reference especially I have all details provided to at least estimate roughly the cost so we will not waste each other's time coming into our place considering the rough time today due to covid then what you will only hear would be high price estimate which in the end we will not afford!) So USA SPRAY ME WAS VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD ESPECIALLY WITH PRICING! They are the only one who answered with cost estimate and THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN DO THE JOB THE NEXT DAY! THAT'S AMAZING!!
