Did roll out insulation in a closet and spray foam insulation in four bedroom walls. On time, courteous, did the work that they promised, and left the space clean and ready to go. Would recommend. read more

Umar and El did a fantastic job. I had a few quotes and they by far had the best pricing. They arrived on time and worked until the job was done. During the first visit they were thorough and provided a quote on the spot. They also were very clear on what the scope of work was going to be. When I followed up with additional questions via email, they responded quickly. I recommend them to everyone that asks about insulation. Thanks again El and Umar. read more

Umar and his crew did a good job. When requesting the quotes, he was not pushy and provided contractor and insurance documentation right away for HOA approval. The crew worked hard and was on time. Overall very happy! read more

They are very responsive and turn around time was quick. Workers came on time a did a good job. We didn't face any issues with the communication and Umar is very responsive on the calls. We had attic insulation replaced last week, after having our roof shingles replaced. Almost 2000 square feet, in Fremont. The whole experience was smooth, professional, high quality, and for a very good price. They arrived for giving a quote just the day after I contacted them via Yelp, and the work was scheduled for the following week. The whole job took just one day, on schedule, and the work was very professional, and their workers were very courteous. We bought them lunch and tipped them when the work was done. Highly recommend. read more

I don't usually post reviews, but these guys are awesome! All starting with Dee's patience, thoroughness, and great information for the quote: both on the phone and in person. I was impressed by his honesty on good and bad experiences with curved ceilings and plaster, and how they handled previous hiccups. I don't tend to trust folks that feel they can do no wrong. They quoted the job would be done in 3 days--it was done in 2! And our curved ceilings and all ceilings look like they have never even been touched! They were very courteous and hard working, and really respected our home. They also were able to work around two inside cats, even had patience when said cats got loose for a minute. We got noise cancelling insulation sprayed in as with a house from 1920s both us and our neighbors could hear everything before. They suggested and used a great product and we have seen a significant difference! We'd say probably a 80-85% reduction in noise from talking and everyday noises (including upstairs fans and laundry), which is so welcomed! We would highly recommend Insullation Alliance! It was worth every penny and they were super easy to work with! read more

I had Insulation Alliance come and insulate my attic and walls. El was very responsive during the quitting process and took extra time to answer all my questions. The crew that came also did an excellent job. They were courteous, making sure to cover all walkways and furniture to avoid making a mess. read more

Umar and el were externally professional. I had to re insulate my attic. They showed up on time and were very good in diagnosing and completing the work. I am very happy. Umar was able to provide a quote for my insulation project in a timely manner. When he visited my house, he removed his shoes when requested, and he wore a mask due to the current surge in COVID cases. Ultimately, I went with a different contractor that was able to offer a more competitive price point on my very small project. If I had a larger project (more than 500sqft), Umar's quote would have likely been the winning bid. However, his bid was very competitive. Umar was professional, demonstrated an understanding of the intricacies of the job, and accurately communicated this understanding. read more

I contacted Insulation Alliance to get a quote for insulation of attic. I got a very quick response, and a super-reasonable quote for my project. They came as scheduled a few days later, well prepared for the job, and took care if the project fast and efficiently. They covered our closet with plastic to keep dust away, and cleaned the work area and outdoors. Couldn't be happier with their work. Thanks!! read more

I was looking for some soundproofing for my condo and came across Insulation Alliance on Yelp. I submitted a request for a quote and received a response in about an hour. They helped me set up a free consultation in a couple days and a 3 hour window of when they would arrive. Day of appointment, they gave me a courtesy 20 minute heads up to let me know that they were on their way. Umar and El are both very professional and timely. They helped walk me through what is expected and the process to get the work done. They are reasonably priced - especially for the amount of work involved! read more

I give this business a one because one they never even showed up at my house plus each time I call I got connected to the owner and he always had an excuse of why he couldn't call me back when he himself said I'll call you back in 30 minutes. Additionally they're just not reliable and I would suggest that you move on and use a different vendor I am and I will write a review when I complete using that vendor services read more

This review relates only to sound mitigation. My daughter lives downstairs and complained about impact noise in her bedroom from our upstairs bedroom/bath. I didn't like the noise from her living room. The contract involved removing the existing bedroom ceiling, installing insulation, resilient channels, and two layers of Sheetrock. She has not complained about the impact noise since, but this contractor did not fully perform its work, failing to leave a gap between the ceiling and wall/crown molding. They offered to put the gap in, but that would entail removing and replacing the crown molding, which they had damaged (and I repaired with about 4 hours of sanding and repainting work) when they removed it the first time. They also damaged my upstairs bedroom closet floor by driving nails into it from underneath, putting a couple of holes in the Pergo styled floor. Both my wife and I heard a lot of hammering, but they denied hammering anything, which was weird. They never explained how the damage occurred. They patched one of the holes (patch is visible, but in a closet) and offered to perform further repairs if I supplied matching wood (which I thought I had but could not find). They also blew in insulation in the living room area which, in my perception, amplified the noise issue. The owner did bend over backwards to try to resolve some of these issues, going to my house late one night and two other times, and they did install more insulation after I pointed out gaps in the insulation they originally installed. But they had two different crews and when I would ask questions (like how nails were driven into my upstairs bedroom closet floor) it always was 'the other crew', and the person I asked had no answers. To this day, I still don't know what work generated the banging noises or why they were driving nails into the second floor. I would not hire this company again for 'blowing in' insulation. It did nothing (and, in my view, made the noise issue worse) and so was a waste of money. (As an aside, I had insulation blown into the walls of a different house for insulation improvement (performed by a different company) and never noticed any difference there, either. Insulate underneath the house to feel a difference). Based on the owner's response, I have edited my review as follows: As for the more involved process of resilient channels, up until the owner's response to my initial review, I might have hired them again. But after the owner's response saying facts inaccurately to try to blame me for failing to resolve issues relating to his work, I wouldn't. Note: to respond to the owner's comments. The mass venal was offered as compensation for floor damage but when I later reviewed the contract, mass loaded vinyl was part of the scope of work, and so was not 'additional compensation '. I never hired a painter. One of the workers in one of the owner's 2 crews painted, as painting also was part of the contract.. This is what I meant by having the contract 'in hand.' I never paid separately for painting. I paid one of the owner's 2 crews directly for all that crew's work as they were at my house insisting on partial payment and the owner approved. read more

We decided to go with Umar and Insulation Alliance because: 1. Best quote out of 7 companies 2. Umar, himself, can install an electrical outlet and fan 3. Insulation Alliance did a GREAT JOB. Thye were quick for schedule availability, on time and got a ton of work done in just one day. Every step was as described, including some really cool ideas they implemented (don't want to give them away here) that made my home attic insulation WAY BETTER THAN IT WAS BEFORE. Workers were careful, courteous, efficient, smart and thorough. Team leader was great and patient with my popping into the attic to monitor their progress. The owner was also very communicative and made sure the job was complete and to my approval with more than one follow-up. Installers were very experienced and by-the-book proper and very thorough in all their work. Cleaned out completely, disinfected fully, replaced with a top rated approved product and sealed holes and inspected roof for any potential rodent entry points. The team leader and his partners were friendly and pleasant and protected all the carpet areas and area around attic access point and worked really hard all day. Best of all their PRICING WAS NORMAL AND ACCEPTABLE and not your typical homeowner rip-off effort, like I saw with my neighbors that used a different attic treatment company (won't mention that other firm's name) which was almost 2x price and admitted to me their boss wants them to only take the suckers who will overpay. INSULATTION ALLIANCE ARE REASONABLE, HONEST AND RESPONSIBLE. Thanks to Insulation Alliance for being a top notch service and not trying to rip off home owners as we often see with work from insulation to HVAC R&R firms today. Overall 5-stars, and a great job!! read more

I highly recommend! The previous owner of my house had a huge rodent issue leaving a mess in the attic which we discovered after a roof leak. One of the owners promptly came out and gave me a quoted me. He sent one of his guys out the next day to do the job. The representative did a great job cleaning everything, rodent proofing, and installing new insulation. read more

El and Umar responded to us very quickly. The working team is very professional and efficient. So my first insulation install appointment w/them was canceled an hour prior because they said one of their guys was sick. I kept being told over and over in emails "the safety of our customers is our primary concern". This becomes pertinent later. We rescheduled for over 2 weeks later. The insulation was drop shipped early that morning. Totally smooth. Two guys show up, they set up their gear to start cleaning out my home's attic. They have two large gas powered engines that are used to suck the insulation out. They're situated very close to my front door and the exhaust is essentially being pumped into my house. Within about an hour the CO2 alarms are going off. Now's when I mention the janky tarp job that was done with rips in the plastic. So I make them shut off the engines while I turn on the fans and exhaust the CO2. They re-tape, using duct tape on my walls (ugh) and we start again. It was going well for a while until it happens again except now its all the alarms, every room in the house has CO2. Nothing like my safety being their #1 priority. At this point I call one of the owners (there's still only 2 guys) and tell him he needs to be on site. We shut it down, I've got every fan on and we fix it again. I was told it was the wind, and that the motors had to be close, well we can't change the wind, the door has to be open for their hoses and my house is not big. Not at all, so what do they do for larger homes? They ended up putting the engines in their truck and rolled down the hatch to keep the exhaust in the truck. Fine, it kept it out of my house. By 4:30pm one of the owners (not sure which one) admitted there was still 3-4 more hours worth of work to be done. I had to go around finding multiple plugs for them because they needed power and they blew a fuse. At one point I muttered under my breath "I feel like I'm doing a lot of work for something that I'm paying for". It took at least 8+ hours to remove/clean/sanitize and reinsulate a 1700 sq ft home. If they think its a 7-9 hour job, maybe don't start it off with 2 guys. Its done, but truthfully I can't recommend them. Too much of a headache. From start to finish. They tried to tell me they hurried to finish in 1 day as if we had ever discussed it being a 2 day job. There was no option for them to finish tomorrow. They had access to my attic for the quote, they knew what was & wasn't up there. It was always bid as a 1-day job. I informed them of how I was very displeased overall and that I would not be recommending them to anyone. edit to add: I just noticed one of my living room pendant lights no longer works, there's a set of two lights that work off the same switch. One light works fine. The other does not work at all. I have no idea what they did, if there's live wires disconnected or somehow open and at risk for starting a fire in the attic. I'm docking another star as I now need to get an electrician up there to ensure there's no fire risk. I'm upgrading the review to two stars since they came back the next day and fixed the light. they are now both working properly. read more

5 Stars all around the board! I can't thank these guys enough for their hard works and dedication and great communication. We had a large amount of droppings jn our attic and had been having issues with hearing scratching for over a year! attic professionals came out and gave the best quote out of 5 places. Close to $1000 less than with quality work done! Don't hesitate to give these guys a call they pay attention to detail and take pride in making sure things are done correctly. They prepped my house kept things clean inside. Finished all the work in 1 day, they worked hard for 10 hours and got the job done and I checked myself to to ensure the work. Everything was vaccumed out sanitized and cleaned out well. They re-wrapped all my ducts also. They came back 3 weeks later to check the attic and the traps set! My house stays at 70 degrees all day hot or cold outside! Do yourself a favor and let these guys take care of all your attic needs! Thanks you attic professionals for your hard work and dedication. read more

Contacted them for attic insulation and they came and gave a quote. They did not arrive at the time promised. They did not arrive till the next day and then they sent two guys who could not speak English and communicate. I tried to communicate with them and they just kept saying no English. My electric bill has actually increased since they insulated my attic and installed 2 attic fans. So I got a call that they wanted to come back and see if they could make me happy after I posted this review. I agreed to a day and time and guess what? They did not show up. I will just have to hire someone and pay to have the mess they made fixed. read more

There are many companies to choose from that do insulation & noise reduction work. I choose them for their price, service, and ability to do the job quickly. My major issue was ambient (talking/walking/moving items) sound traveling between an apartment floor. I did blown in insulation ("drill and fill") along with adding 5/8" sound retardant drywall. The process took a week. The manager was very communicative. The workers/installers were very friendly and were incredibly clean. Every day they cleaned the apartment at the end of the day from any debris. During the process I asked a lot of questions to the manager and he answered me very professionally and quickly. I would recommend Insulation Alliance. read more

Insulation Alliance did a great job for both attic and wall insulation in our newly purchased home in Millbrae. Our attic had bad and very little insulation, they did very good job of cleaning old, baffling, air venting and applying blow in cellulose insulation. Even they increased level of R value per our request midway of the job. They also filled the walls with blow in cellulose insulation and were extra careful about boards and electric wires etc. they made sure everything is cleaned nice after the project is done. also offered very competitive price compared to other contractors. I would highly recommend them for any insulation related jobs and would hire them again for future jobs. read more

I had a long-standing rodent infestation in our attic. They eventually chewed through the alarm system wiring. I had it repaired by the alarm co tech only to have it chewed through again the next day. Umar came out to inspect the attic and made several suggestions on how to best proceed. Attic Alliance came to our home, set down drop cloths and plastic film to contain dust and debris while they bagged and removed the 45-year-old insulation. They vacuumed out the attic after removing an accumulation of trash that had dropped into the attic during a reroof and other work. They sprayed a sanitizer and installed R-19 fiberglass batts in the knee walls and R-28 blown in fiberglass insulation on the floor area. They sealed all air leaks with foam and rodent proofed the attic by covering openings with galvanized screening. They cleaned up thoroughly and walked around the exterior to make sure they had sealed any rodent access points before departing. All of that in one day. Umar was patient, I asked him several times to rework the original estimate as I changed my requirements as to which materials, and R values I wanted. I had a few questions after I made my payment and Umar responded to each in a professional and timely manner. I recommend this company. read more

We met with Umer and showed him around, and he sent us a bid which we will probably sign and go with them but nothing yet.

From the estimate to the installation, the owners were always available for all the questions we had for our attic insulation project. They were much more thorough in their explanations about our specific situation than the other insulation companies we met. During the installation, we had a special request to assist us with some cables that run through our attic. They quickly jumped on it to help us even though it had nothing to do with insulation. We're glad to have found a great team to partner with in our quest to insulate our house. We might even have them come out again to insulate our exterior walls in the near future. read more
