The process went smoothly, and I was satisfied with the service at the time. About 11 months later, I unfortunately noticed another swarm in the same area. I contacted Hi Tech again and, to be honest, I was a little frustrated that the earliest available appointment was over a month away. However, when the day finally came, they sent Zach out to perform the treatment, and he completely changed my outlook on the situation. Zach was outstanding. He took his time, was thorough, professional, and never seemed rushed. He explained what he was doing, answered my questions, and clearly knew his stuff. On top of that, he was just a genuinely chill and pleasant guy to work with. It's rare to find technicians who combine knowledge, professionalism, and customer service as well as he does. We paid $900 for a termite treatment that didn't work - and they wouldn't honor the warranty…read more Hi-Tech did a spot termite treatment around a window in our home. Six months later I noticed more droppings and called Hi-Tech back. Their technician told me it was likely the house settling and nothing to worry about. When we opened up the window trim during a siding project, we found tons of live termites (see photo) - still within our 1-year warranty period. When I called the office, I was told the warranty only covered the "inside" of the window, not the outside. It is the same window and the same termite problem. They offered to come back out and inspect, but quoted another $900. No apology, no ownership of the fact that the original treatment hadn't worked. I didn't feel right paying again for the same issue - and for a company I couldn't trust to solve the problem. The inspectors themselves were professional and courteous. The office experience was not. I ended up hiring a different company who treated the problem thoroughly and has been excellent. I'd recommend Hi-Tech improve how they handle situations where a treatment doesn't work. A little accountability goes a long way.
