I've given it a couple of months before reviewing just to see if their rodent proofing has held up - happy to report that we've had no issues since they came by and took care of a rodent infestation that came with our new home. Their guys gave a great quote for rodent proofing our attic, removing previous rodent-contaminated insulation and putting in new bats of insulation that are up to current code. I especially appreciated the time they took to diagnose the exact tiny hole in an obscure, almost impossible to see corner of the kitchen. 2 previous rodent companies had missed it but this team of pros refused to give up until they found out how the rats and mice were coming in - thank you!! Having witnessed the awful extent to which rodents had made my kitchen their party house by creeping in and out in the middle of the night, I am just beyond grateful that the guys at Attic Solutions truly took care of our issue for good (hopefully). I can now relax in my kitchen! read more

So I was able to call these guys on a Saturday. We had a new HVAC system placed and the HVAC guys said they saw some dead rodents and that I should get it cleaned up. I got a call back later that day and said they can come out for an estimate on Monday. Dan came out who claimed to be a part owner and explained the whole process. He came early and was very professional and prompt. Being on time is essential. He was quick and thorough. He said if we wanted to book him, they can start Tuesday. Tuesday came up and Manny showed up with a crew in total of 3 guys. They suited up, cleaned up the attic space then also the crawl space taking out dead critters and what not. They then walked around the property and replaced any vents/mesh needing replacing and sealed places on the roof as well. The team of guys were so nice I went out and bought them lunch and drinks. It is great that you get a peace of mind after all the work is done. A big plus with this company is that they are very responsive. Prior to contacting these guys, between my wife and I, we had already gone through maybe 5 other companies near by that didn't respond until a few days later, a few days too late. These guys back their work with a 1 year warranty so I feel very confident with this company. They did a great Job. Request Manny. His team is awesome. On a separate note, they came in an unmarked truck, which I liked because I didn't scare the neighbors or make them curious. Strong work guys! read more

Angel and his team did a terrific job. They were so neat, laid down stuff to protect my carpeting and excellent communication and worked tirelessly to help me with my rodent problem in my attic. They even went the extra mile to help seal my garage door so rodents cannot get in. Thank you so much Angel Nancy and amanda. read more

I used them a few years back to take care of the rodent problem we were having. They removed all of my insulation (crawl space and attic), cleaned and sanitized and reinstalled the insulation. They did a great job! Clean, professional and thorough. I ended up having some activity after a couple years, I called and they came and took care of the problem promptly! I would definitely recommend them! read more

I hired these guys about 4 months back and after much deliberation, we found an insulation solution that fit my VERY specific needs. The rep was the most patient of all the insulation companies I had out to bid the project, and the actual install crew was prompt, clean, respectful, diligent, and hard working! I was very impressed with this company from start to finish, and the attic batting we finally decided on made a WORLD of difference! It was 105 degrees here yesterday and our 20yo air conditioner easily kept the house at 78. Before the insulation, at those temps, we'd be lucky to keep the house at 88, and that's with the HVAC running non-stop! Thanks for your fantastic work, guys! Highly recommended! read more

Great service for a great price. Rigo was our technician - knowledgeable, kind and fast. He did an excellent job.

Thanks Angel and crew for a timely delivery and getting the job done. I recommend them!

I waited a few weeks before posting this review in the hopes that the owner, Joshua, would do the right thing and finish the attic cleaning and to repair all of the ceiling damage from the workers walking or sitting on the ceiling drywall. I chose Attic Solutions because Dan said he was a small business owner, had been in business along time and worked closely with his crew to ensure quality service. Later, I find out that Dan is NOT the owner but just a salesman and the company has only been around for 6 years. I hired Attic Solutions to remove attic insulation, vacuum attic to remove rat droppings, spray attic with sanitizer, rodent proof attic and put in new insulation for $4800. Before the workers even finished the job, I had a huge crack in my bathroom ceiling that was repaired, but the next day, I found additional cracks in my dining room and kitchen ceiling as well as "nail bursts" in the entry way ceiling. I sent him the pictures (included in this review) and he did not respond to my email. After a week, I texted him to ask when he would come to repair the cracks and nail bursts and he said, "not my guys fault..." and then ghosted me. Also, in my email, I showed him (2) areas that were not vacuumed, and he said that his guys couldn't reach the area because of the low placed joists, even when I showed him a pic of the newly placed wire mesh ON TOP of the debris and old insulation. I also showed him rodent entry points in the attic that were either not closed off with foam or mesh or only partially closed off. After the job was complete, I continued to have a rat in the attic, despite 2 traps that were placed (the rat just ate the peanut butter without setting off the trap) and the rat chewed through the foam that had only partially closed off an entry point. Supposedly, I have a one year warranty against rodents, but all that was offered was traps. So, after spending $4800, I still have a rat in my attic, still have entry points in the attic partially or wide open for rodents to come and go, still have rodent droppings, debris and old insulation sitting in my attic and lastly, have the added work of having to repair the ceiling cracks and nail bursts from the workers walking on the attic drywall. I hope Joshua realizes that when he decided to ghost me, to not provide quality work, to not complete the job he was hired to do and to not take responsibility for the damage done, he will lose the trust of future customers willing to pay $4800. It would have been cheaper in the long run, for Joshua to have done the right thing. For anyone thinking of hiring this company, make sure you take pics of your entire ceiling to prove that you have no cracks, inspect attic/crawlspace yourself to confirm that the entire attic was vacuumed properly (and if not, why not?) and also inspect that foam or mesh was done completely to seal off rodent entry BEFORE letting them put in the insulation. Hopefully, anyone reading this will protect themselves from getting "scammed" by a salesman pretending to be the owner and the true owner, Joshua, who could care less about the quality of services once he has your money... read more

Joshua was very knowledgeable of our insulation and pest-proofing needs, and demonstrated it in his straight-forward approach during the initial consultation. He informed me about local insulation standards, broke down the various types and sizes of insulation, and provided an effective pest proofing strategy that was unique to my home. During the date of service, Angel and his crew members informed me of the work day, set up their points of entry and went right to work. They were very mindful of equipment coming in contact with various surfaces of my home and took the appropriate sanitary precautions with floor guards on their shoes and masks on at all times in the home. Roughly 4 hours later, the cleaning/removal, newly installed insulation, and pest proofed attic and crawl space were complete! Upon completion, they swiftly cleaned up and headed out, and the house felt more secure and warm with less drafts. This was an easy 5 star job with a lifetime of value coming from Joshua and co. at Attic Solutions. read more

Attic solutions staff are the best! I called them on a saturday after finding a plague of flies due to a problem with rats at my home and Joshue was so helpful and can't thank he enough for calling me back to address my concern and schedule a viewing of my place. Last week two staff members, Dan and Rigo, came and inspected all the possible ways from where the rodents could be coming from. Today, I had Angel and his team doing such a good job, they were so knowledgeable and hardworking. I can't thank you enough for your help! Very happy with your service. read more

Excellent attic cleaning and insulation experience for our 100 year old home in Oakland. We had rats. They removed all the old insulation, leaving the attic immaculate. After an electrician confirmed our old knob and tube wiring was still in good shape, they returned to install the new energy-efficient insulation. The owner and staff were all courteous, responsive, professional and highly skilled. Reasonable price. So glad we found them on Yelp. Highly recommended. read more

These guys are amazing. We just bought a house that had been unoccupied for many years and they thoroughly cleaned the attic, inspected the crawlspace, and sealed all the openings. At the original visit the estimator wasn't able to locate the entrance to the crawlspace, so the estimate did not include it. However the crew found the hidden access door under a bench - a tiny tiny hole - and jumped right in and did the work without adding any additional charges. They found a bunch of dead rats and a couple live ones, pointed out evidence of where they had been throughout the house, removed our insulation and attic floor and a ton of poop, then sanitized and sealed the house. They're experienced, on-time and professional, courteous, and extremely hard working. After seeing what they did, the price was a bargain. We'll have them back when we reinstall new insulation. Highly recommend. read more

Attic Solutions - Insulation Installation Near Me - Oakland, California

I live in a home built circa 1907 with a crawlspace underneath. Several years ago, the house started to smell very musty. The smell was hard to describe and occurred intermittently. I invested in multiple air purifiers and had various contractors visit to try to determine the source. One contractor who inspected for mold informed me of a rodent infestation. After speaking with multiple vendors, I selected Attic Solutions to encapsulate the crawlspace, insulate my attic, and perform rodent extrusion as needed. Angel and his crew arrived right on time, provided their service rapidly and left behind no sign they'd been there. They were meticulous. Best of all, the smells and odors have been entirely eliminated! I am so happy with their work. The crawlspace acts as the lungs of our homes. While we frequently ignore them, we do so at our own peril. Greatly appreciate Attic Solutions and recommend them to any neighbors seeking work in their areas of expertise. 10 of 10 would hire again. read more

Very responsive. Running through a short list of contractors (C47 license) to insulated our in situ MOBILE home. We did not go with only because another contractor had a near by job and could easily fit us in. It was all a matter of timing. Happy to get the job done sooner. read more

Hired them April 2020 to address mouse problem in my crawl space. Competitive quote, prompt and professional service, plus a one year warranty. Unfortunately I had to call them back four times over the next 12 months, and each time out they found new entry points they had previously missed. Finally they stopped responding this month - I guess my one year warranty is up. My opinion, as I write this listening to a mouse party under my feet, is that if you can't fix the problem within the warranty period, then maybe the warranty should be extended. Bottom line: they're honest and professional, but I still have a mouse problem. read more

I cannot recommend Attic Solutions enough. My wife and I bought a home in March, and shortly after moving in, discovered we had roof rats. Attic Solutions had inspected and rodent-proofed the attic for the sellers, back in January, and we learned we were still under warranty. So we called to see if they would come and re-inspect the property to help address the issue. Joshua, the owner, could not have been more accommodating. He spent more than 20 minutes on the phone with me to look up the home's account and diagnose the issue, and promptly had a team out within a week (I imagine this would have been even faster had he not been working through a backlog created by COVID). The team did a thorough inspection of the attic, roof, and crawl space. They found a new hole that rats had made in near one of our rain gutters, and they quickly patched it and set fresh traps. A week later, we could still hear rats in the attic, so we called Joshua again, and he had his team come out a second time. This time, the found new holes in the ground, suggesting the rats (now trapped inside) had gone down to the crawl space and tried to dig their way out. They cemented the holes and, again, laid new traps. It was a stressful two weeks, but our home is now rat free, and it's all due to the diligent work of Joshua's team. He could have easily written us off as different owners and tried to avoid the job; rather, he had his team honor the commitment to keep the house rat free for a year, and had them come out twice at no charge. His team was also incredibly respectful of social distancing and wore PPE throughout the job. In the future, if we ever have a rodent issue, I will certainly give my business to Attic Solutions. read more

Attic solutions came in and in one day the team found all the tunnels and closed them off with wire and cement, not just foam; replaced the soiled insulation with a comparable grade product, cleaned all the evidence of rodents, and set some traps just in case. I thought the price was really fair, and the work was done well and quickly. A few months later, I saw evidence again, and Manny came the same day I called, quickly found the new locations (rats had made new tunnels in the soft dirt next to my house), closed them up and set some new traps, just in case. He was quick and responsive, communicative, and thorough! And it was all under warrantee, so thank you Attic Solutions, and Manny! read more

With winter coming, we decided to update our insulation in our house. Attic Solutions was the first to respond to our inquiry and send someone out give us a quote. They were very thorough in their inspection. They explained everything they were going to do and why. All the other people we called to come give us an inspection were not as thorough, offered less services, and were more expensive! The work was done professionally according to COVID-19 protocols. During the work, they found that a rodent nest may have been more recent than they initially thought and set traps just in case for free! Great work, Great guys. read more

I contacted Attic Solutions by phone and they were very responsive and professional. I got an estimate for the mitigation of the rats that had gotten into our rental attic and garage. They were professional, showed up early with a crew of about 6 workers, removed all the blow in insulation that had been infested, decontaminated and sealed all the openings and then laid down new insulation, cleaned up and were done in a day!!! I would give them 10 stars if possible. I highly recommend them!!! read more

I found Attic Solutions through Yelp. I recently bought a new house and there were signs of rodents in the space between the roof and ceiling. Attic Solutions replied quickly and has been very professional in all communications. Joshua scheduled Gabriel (free inspection - no cost) and we were very happy with Gabriel's reports. Gabriel went all around the house and found the main problems. I signed an agreement for a one-day project. I was not disappointed at all. Angel, Idario, and Aroldo were very courteous during their visit. They protected all the areas and they cleaned up well. They thoroughly took out the unwanted materials and replaced our insulation. They also blocked all the entrances and sanitized the whole area. I'm very happy with their work, communication, and overall service. I highly recommend them. read more

Attic Solutions did an amazing job today with the attic space in my wife's and my home. We recently had a new roof put on our home and the attic (including exposed insulation) was full of related dust and debris. Attic Solutions showed up on time and after laying down plastic runners from front door to attic, they vacuumed, swept and thoroughly cleaned the joists, plywood and insulation. They also wrapped exposed portions of our attic furnace ducts (after pointing out that the joints could and should be wrapped), removed old boxes and and sanitized the space. From the day we met with the estimator (Gabriel) to the day the work was performed (Rigo and crew) , the communication and work performed couldn't have been better. This company earned its five stars. They completed the job and it amazes me how they can work up inside a hot attic on hot days like this. It was 97° in the shade at my house I can't imagine what the attic felt like. These guys handled it and I can already feel the difference. I went from 6 inch insulation to 12 inch and I can already feel the difference. They rodent proofed , patched holes and did extras I am sure but done an outstanding job. If you hire these guys you will not be disappointed. I have a business I have all five star reviews and it's a testimony to the hard work. We noticed some rodent droppings in our crawl space and contacted Attic Solutions to help us. Daniel provided very quick service by coming within a day to analyze the situation and give a competitive quote. We scheduled service within a week. Angel and his team came to clean out the entire crawl space and our attic. Our old 30 year old insulation filled with rodent feces/urine was taken away and replaced by new R38 fiber glass insulation. Afterward, Angel informed us that there was actually a dead animal in the crawlspace that was removed and lots of wiring that was probably damaged by a raccoon. They fixed all entrances and mentioned to check their traps for the next three weeks. Overall, they provided very quick quality service. read more
