Ordered sliced steak sandwich on garlic roll. Chicken noodle soup to start. Soup was ok. Sandwich tasted good. Would recommend. Service very good, staff very friendly. Other family members happy with their orders. Triple turkey/bacon club looked good. Onions rings was good. Overall good experience, will repeat!! read more

My father and I came in for breakfast this morning because we were in the area. We each ordered egg white omelettes(They have a nice selection of different style omelettes), I went with the Greek omelette and it was very tasty, also the portion was large. The service was excellent, and we didn't wait long for a table, which was nice because we were in a rush. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely come back. read more

Ok, so I really was not sure if I even wanted to post anything, but I decided that I wanted to so 1) The food is great but that's is about it the waiters are horrible and the wait is worse to get a seat ...... I have been contemplating whether or not I should go back just because the food was good but I don't believe I will. And besides that I think the staff is racist....approximately 30 minutes to be seated read more

Horrifying experience. Rudest owner/manager ever!!!! He insulted our group of 12...6 young girls and us parents who went to eat there during a break in the girl's local dance competition. When we asked him not to worry about keeping our group together but rather to split us up to expedite service, he told us the quickest service was to go to McDonald's!! Others entering diner were quickly being seated while he kept us standing at the door as he argued with our group leader. She asked him if he treats all his customers like this and he said, "No, just you!" and told us to leave that he wouldn't serve us. Never ever saw such disrespectful service from an owner read more

Good food and ample portions make this a good lunch/ dinner spot. The wait staff is sometimes a little spotty and times to get service can be lengthy during peek hours. Still a good choice. PS try their Cobb salad, one of my favorites read more

The food here is incredibly disappointing. It's like microwaveable meals every single time. I'd only go here as a last resort.

We just walked out....meals on the table. The staff is totally unresponsive and inattentive. I accidentally spilled my cup of coffee and was given complete attitude by the staff who had to clean it up. When our waitress finally came over I had to ask her for another cup of coffee. She giggled ??? Half the table was wiped the other half wasn't. I had to ask for more napkins because the staff used my napkins to clean up the spilled cup of coffee. We asked to speak to the manager who then came over with the most major attitude his name is Billy. I never see Billy there so apparently the normal manager was off today. Billy gave us attitude from the minute he came over. Billy asked why we were looking at him in his face he's not used to having people interact ??? Billy made 100 excuses why the staff was so rude and unresponsive... he said "we're busy"...So I guess you should leave someone with a whole cup of coffee spilled on the table to wait. Billy had an attitude from the minute he came over so we decided since we were not getting the customer service we are used to we walked out his response was "that was easy". We live in Babylon Village I'm in walking distance from the diner I will never go there again . read more

Went on a busy Sunday morning and the service was good and friendly. A simple order of eggs and home fries was kind of disappointing.Over cooked rubbery potatoes were not worth eating. Will try it again. read more

I have been going to this diner for over 40 years. I went there as a child with my grandmother after church. But today, I saw the cashier place a water bottle full of orange juice or something like it in the ice chest where they draw ice to put in peoples drinks. She had just come in from outside, hadn't washed her hands and drank from it. I said something to the manager, who brushed it off. I then threatened the DOH and a waitress came out from behind the counter and said they were just here. I will not be going back. EVER read more

My favorite diner since moving out here! Food is always fresh and delicious. Eating in or picking up, always greeted with a smile and quick service. I love their potato skins and matzo ball soup, no matter what I get for lunch/dinner, I always get the skins or soup. I'd highly recommend this diner and have.. I've brought both parents and a few friends here and everyone said it was one of the best diners they've ever had. read more

We've been going here for over 30 years, but the last few years it's service and food have been going downhill. The menu has shrunk to 1/3 of what it once was. Other than breakfast and burgers the food is lousy. It seems like the owners don't care anymore. We got seafood scampi over angel hair and the sauce was milky, not scampi, the pasta was overcooked and the seafood had a strong smell to it. Hope they get their act back together, we use to visit weekly, no more! read more

This place is the worst. A group of nurses and myself order from here at night and also have gone for sit down for breakfast. About eight of us went for pancakes and waffles and were SSHHHED by the manager, had to beg for hot coffee, the service was slow and they clearly tried to neglect us into leaving. On another occasion we ordered pick up and the waitress forgot a sandwich- called to see if we could pick one up and she scolded me telling me I never ordered it- even though the sweet potato fries we ordered with it did come. I asked to speak to the manager who handed me back to the waitress who then said the kitchen was closed. These ppl are the rudest most unprofessional food service ppl I've ever dealt with and though they insisted we didn't pay for it we got no change and they didn't give a receipt. read more

This is definitely NOT one of the better diners on the island. We came for breakfast and we waited over 10 mins before the waiter came and introduced himself. Service continued to be slow and absent throughout our meal. They got my order wrong twice and all I ordered was an egg white western omelette with french fries. Not too complicated. Food tastes okay. But not worth the wait. read more

If you want to be seated immediately and then proceed to wait 15 plus minutes while feeling as though you are being ignored then this is the place for you! They were not busy at all, waiters and waitresses were casually standing around chatting. We finally asked the busboy to find us a waitress. She came over and apologized said no one told her this was her section. Really? Very rude and the food was just ok.. Won't be going back. read more

This used to be my go to Diner when I lived in Babylon. Used to come here like 2-3 times a week. Place has really good burgers, with a lot of different choices. Also good appetizers and pasta. Breakfast was always on point as well. Haven't been here in awhile so I can't really say much, but if I ever find myself in the area maybe I'll stop by. read more

Had the unfortunate experience to eat at your Diner today at noon will you order a very extravagant dish called a panini in lieu of a panini some kind of breaded fish arrived on my table upon asking the waitress for replacement the best word perhaps could be indignant that we would have the audacity to ask for the Panini to be replaced when instead it was breaded fish . The order was again screwed up upon 2nd request. 1 * is far too generous read more

Waited 45 min for an omelette and it was the smallest omelette I've ever seen ...was totally not worth the wait...our waitress didn't stop at our table unless we waved her down ...spoke to the manager and he literally could care less ....first and last time I'll ever go this diner way too many options in the area read more

Atlantis is an exceptional diner , and my rating is really 4 1/2 stars . I stopped by yesterday after a long , bracing walk towards Democrat Point on Fire Island , tired and totally exhausted . Although I live 12 miles away in North Seaford , I got off Robert Moses Causeway just to unwind here . My young waitress was a honey , very polite and considerate , quickly attending to everything I needed and wanted . The huge fried scallops I knew I would order were excellent , as was the fresh salad and bread . Admittedly , soups in diners can be problematical ( I read some other reviews ) , so I never order them at any diner . Atlantis does cater to locals , as do most diners , which does have plusses and minuses . Knowing it catered to a beach and boating crowd , I felt comfortable adjusting my boots here ( with my waitresses permission ) , something I can't remember ever doing elsewhere , and a plus after a long , cold walk on a windswept beach . Management is especially cozy with familiar faces , but that is the same at every diner . Again , this is not a fancy establishment ( albeit pricey ) , but as diners go , you can't beat it .........especially after a long jaunt on a cold beach ! read more

I feel bad writing a poor review for a place where I've had many great experiences in the past, unfortunately the same can't be said for last night. On a Sunday night, a few of my family members who were from out of town, drove out to us for a bite to eat. Asking us for a recommendation we picked the Atlantis Diner. We got there around 645ish, and it was surprisingly not as busy as you'd expect on a Sunday evening. We were seated promptly and placed our drink orders in a timely fashion, that's about where the positives end. For four meals, it took at least 20 minutes to a half hours to receive them, but that wasn't the problem. One of my relatives ordered a chicken gyro and the other ordered pork souvlaki, both of which were horrible. They both came out smelling like fajitas. The gyro had veggies in it, which seems a bit odd, considering most gyros have some red onion, some lettuce and maybe some cucumber. It didn't look like a gyro at all! The souvlaki was even worse. The pork was dry and had hard knuckles in it. It smelt and as well as looked like a fajita on top of pita. The other two dishes were okay, nothing worth writing home about. The entire time we were there our waitress only came by once, maybe twice to see if everything was alright and if we needed refills. When a comment was made about the souvlaki, the waitress informed us that she does receive comments from other guests, that the Greek food tends to come out differently than what they expected. Normally I'd recommend this place hands down, but I guess if you plan on getting Greek food, find some where else to go. read more

Great food big portions our waiter was super attentive and helpful Ruben was also good

Everything you expect a diner to be but cleaner! Haha. It was remodeled about 5 or so years ago and it's even better now. Spacious modern interior but still classic diner feel. Large menu with all your favorite diner staples. A favorite of mine is their French onion soup, it has an onion ring melted into the top of the cheese! Fair prices and friendly staff. By far my go to diner. read more

This is my go to for a good take out meal. I order the full dinner specials and even when they don't have one of my favorite specials on the menu, they will make t for me anyway! Desserts are delicious! My only complaint/warning to others who order takeout is to double check your to go order before you leave. On occasion they have forgotten a side or two. Overall the food is excellent for a diner and the dinner specials come with a huge soup, salad, 2 sides and dessert yum! read more

Their potato skins taste like soap and I've gotten food poising many times from eating there.

What a great diner! Good food awesome services, the wait staff and bus staff are attentive and polite. I pass 3 diners just to go to this one. One of the best Hamburgers you can get on LI...and they make their own desserts. It can get packed in there like any diner but for me and my family we have no problem waiting. read more

Wonderful service, and really good food! I ordered the Mediterranean salad--very tasty and well cooked chicken. Our waitress was the best though. She was extremely energetic and had a great personality. It felt like an authentic diner experience, and she was fairly patient. The rest of my family ordered burgers which looked decent. I would go back for the service moreso than the food, but both were good. read more

Love to come here for breakfast or brunch! Portions aren't exaggerated so I don't end up overeating. Their home fries are sooooo yummy! And their pancakes are always fluffy and delicious. 3 Stars, Only because the food is good, presentable, and well cooked. The interior is modern, very recently renovated... Now, the reason it's rated so low is solely because the attitudes and poor customer service i've not only observed but experienced at this diner. I placed an order for pickup and they made me feel like I was a nuiscance, when I went to pick it up I got a poor attitude and services from a rather unfriendly manager (guy in suit).. He seemed annoyed or angry at me for ordering food take out or something ? I was confused. Never will give this place another dime of my hard earned money because anyone that makes you feel uncomfortable and unwanted for spending money at THEIR establishment truly doesn't deserve it. Shame though because wait staff and food is great.. Note to the guy in suit, relax.. Don't act mad and surprised people are ordering food while your open, it's your job right? You should be happy people bring their money and business, or at least pretend to. read more

Watch your check! They charge you more than the menu price ! It happened to me twice. Six months ago I ordered Poached Salmon- Menu price $19.99. They charged me $24.99 on the check. The manager apologized and said there was a problem with their computer system with some salmon dinners.Fast forward to last week..ordered Stuffed Salmon- $19.99 on menu and AGAIN was charged $24.99. Same excuse from manager. In 6 months time they can't fix their system? I bet many customers paid the higher price without realizing it. The food is good, by the way.. read more

This diner is illustrious. Unreal. Unfathomable. I wish I could marry this diner. This diner gives me, as the kids would say, "the feels!" The, may I say, "good vibes!!" This diner is my everything. Since my wife left me... to go to the bank this morning I've been lonely and the waitresses there have given me the unconditional love and support I've needed. Coleslaw pickle? Yes of course. How would I like that burger cooked? Rare, because I need to see you again asap. Just the waitress being gone for that one second to get my 25 milkshakes is too long, I need you now. YELP?! More like HELP me and I can't get up!! Because the owner is fucking hot as shit yo But really though, that coleslaw pickle is unreal. Sometimes I like to fill my bathtub with it and lie on top like a pickle read more

Absolutely love this place, from the food to the service that Steff and Harry provide. Steff pretty much knows my order by heart now so I don't even have to say it .. how great is that! They make THE best omlettes, potato salad and black and white shakes. Always super clean as well. read more

The worst service I've ever received in a diner. Walked in and got eyeballed by the lady at the register. Someone else walked me and my friend to our table. I said 'thank you', she walked away .. I said 'thanks' louder and this time she mumbled something, made no eye contact and walked away. We sat for 20 mins while the tables around us got served and another group got seated and began to get waited on before we had even been offered anything to drink. We got up and walked out. The two ladies standing up front just watched us walk out and didn't say a single word. This was about 45 mins ago. It's Wednesday. No, they were not crazy busy. Just unprofessional and rude. read more

We stopped in for an early dinner today, and boy are we happy that we did. We each ordered a dinner special . One was the stuffed chicken breast, the other, chicken mimosa. This is my go to diner spot in Babylon. I go there once or twice a month for breakfast. Diner coffee can be hot or miss but this place has consistently good coffee. I usually get poached eggs or a burger with an egg. Always tasty and fresh. read more

I went to Atlantis diner today 7/27 for breakfast. Ordered two omelette's/egg white. wanted to substitute tomatoes for potatoes. They charge $1.00 extra for substitute. OK....My friend ordered eggwhite with Turkey, Spinach and swiss ...when order came my omelette was yellows-had to redo and did not receive toast. Our bill was $36.00! They charged my friend 15.95 for his omelette. They bang you extra for anything that is out of the norm. their are too many good diners in our village and beyond to ever pay for this diner. I did bring this up with the cashier- not sure if he was owner but very rude. Take my advise- stay away from this diner. Spend your money on an eating establishment that will treat you well, get your order correct and would try to make some effort to make sure you are a happy customer. read more

Where to begin... My girlfriend and I have tried this place a couple of times but after this latest experience it will definitely be our last. We went to the diner at about 1:30 pm so it was not packed at all. They sat us right next to the bathroom and then we proceeded to wait for 20 minutes until our waitress finally noticed that we were there. The hostess was busy sitting down in the restaurant eating with the "owner" My girlfriend ordered the triple decker turkey club. I ordered the mexi wrap. The turkey club was not the best but it was edible. Keep in mind I love food and this was the first meal of my day. I received my sloppy wrap and struggled through eating the first half. It was dripping everywhere and it wouldn't even close? I gave up on it and told the waitress I couldn't even eat the second half. Expecting it to be removed from the bill, especially since any sane human being that saw how disgusting it looked I was surprised it was still on the bill. I went up to the counter to pay and asked for the wrap to be removed and she went to ask this pompous "owner". He obviously knew there was going to be an issue because he told me he still had the other half out back if I wanted to take it with me. I told him I couldn't eat it and it was awful. He replied with "the waitress asked how things were and you didn't say anything." Our waitress did ask how things were but before either one of us could blink she responded to her own question with "good, great" and ran away haha my girlfriend and I actually laughed because it was so weird. This so called "owner" made a huge scene and ended up taking half the sandwich off the bill which was still unsatisfactory in my book. I have worked every position in a restaurant and would never treat a customer the way he did. This place will not last. read more
