Ample menu, attentive service, excellent food, beer and cocktails available, reasonable prices, great ambiance, large portions, plenty of parking and the one thing that I very much appreciate: acoustics! The place is deigned so well that you can have a conversation with your guests without having to yell. A rare find in busy restaurants.

After a late night at Robert Moses Beach, my family was starving and everyone wanted something different to eat. We ended up picking a random diner that was open until midnight. It was about a 15-minute drive from the beach. Very easy to get to with GPS, and they had their own parking lot which was nice. We were welcomed with a smile, and the place was clean, with a big menu and assorted seating options for patr. The food and service were okay and my boys especially loved the chicken in a basket. We found the coffee and chicken slovaki alright. We would probably stop by again if we find ourselves in the area.

The manager was sitting and eating while my baby was screaming and we wanted to sit down. Then the waitress was cranky and the food was disgusting. I usually love diners. I got chicken noodle soup for my baby and it was gross can soup, and then I got a chicken ceaser wrap with no dressing and a stale wrap. I would just never go here again. Waste of money and skeevy quality food that makes you feel sick after eating it

If you're going to dine here make sure you ask for Raul. I hope this place knows how lucky they are to have him! He's a gem and really elevates your dining. So helpful, accommodating and just a wonderful person. He's probably the most attentive server I've ever encountered. The food is always good and this diner is always very clean. Bravo!

I came in hoping to enjoy a nice breakfast, but I was very disappointed to be served coffee in a disposable paper cup. This felt more like a waiting room than a restaurant. At the very least, I expected a proper ceramic mug, as you would in any decent place. Small details like this show a lack of care for the customer experience. I don't think I'll be coming back.

The food was okay and the ambiance of the place was nice, but the service was absolutely awful. the waiter didn't even bother to try smiling or give us any attention. it wasn't busy, and he walked away from us before i could even finish ordering. i've never had a server as dismissive as he was in my life.

Stopped in at Atlantis Diner West Islip. ( see pix) Got brunch for 1 and split it. Garden omelette 3 eggs mixed vegs and meat comes with home fries land toast. Was enough for 2 though nothing special. Was not crowded and there were few staff around to ask for anything. Waitress was ok. Did bring drinks, have mushrooms on side and later came back to see if we wanted anything else. While we were waiting for food order, I went up to counter and asked man there what were items in the cake display. He said that he didn't know and would find out. ( cheese danish) I'd have liked it first to share as an appetizer. I At end of meal I mentioned it to waitress. He just went to the display and pointed! I told them to forget it as meal was done and asked for the check. Paid left what I thought was more then adequate tip for one order shared by two, and we left.

Price - $30 (appetizer, entree, beverage (free refills), tip) Food - 4/5 - solid food, huge amount. Service - 3/5 - solid, nothing beyond. Ambiance - 3/5 - typical diner feel. Overall - 3/5 - solid diner and that is all it is. Food tasted like a diner, got diner service, and diner vibes. Only thing worth noting is you will get a massive amount of food. Ordered fish and chips and received a pretty size-able salad along with it, 5 pieces of fish, not to mention the additional pasta salad and other small sides (pasta salad was pretty bad IMO). Overall if you are hungry and looking to eat diner food, this is a good stop. Aside from that, nothing worth going out of your way for. Best Dish - nothing to note

Babylon…read more It doesn't get too crowded on weekends and you can usually get a parking spot in the lot surrounding the restaurant. We've been here usually late Saturday morning for brunch and breakfast is served all day. Whether you're looking for some bacon & eggs, omelets, pancakes or a cheeseburger deluxe, you'll find it on their expansive menu. There's even a whole page of chicken sandwiches! Since this is a Greek diner, you'll also find gyro & souvlaki, along with 2-3 soups of the day and they rotate depending on the day of the week. If they have any of my favorites, Cream of Turkey, Split Pea or New England Clam Chowder, I'll always get a cup of soup to start. The daily lunch specials include a variety of different sandwiches and wraps, as well. You can't wrong with a burger deluxe, complete with lettuce, tomato & French Fries. Feel free to ask to substitute home fries, curly fries or sweet potato fries. If I'm in the mood for breakfast, even in the afternoon or evening, I like over easy eggs on corned beef hash with the yolks running over the hash, along with sides of home fries and toast. My wife will usually go for an omelet and she'll get a Farmer's, Western or customizes her own. She likes to get grits as her breakfast side instead of home fries. And if I get a sandwich or burger, she usually steals my pickle O.o, but I secretly stash the bonus onion ring for myself.

Service - 4/5 - went above whats needed. Ambiance - 4/5 - nice vibe and decorated nicely. Overall - 3/5 - ok spot. Service and ambiance were better than expected but food was sub par. Food was pretty lackluster even for a diner. Onion rings were ok, chicken tenders were like every other cheap restaurants. Ordered the Chinese pork roast sandwich and was a total disappointment. Also did not give extras like other diners do. Only saving grace was Banana Silver Dollar pancakes. Service did go above, water was always full, chef and waiter helped get us an order they don't normally do. They went above what was needed. Inside was decorated really nicely, felt very festive and upbeat. Was not expecting that. If food wasn't sub par, would definitely be worth a stop. It's a shame to write this review as we loved this diner for many years…read more The last three takeout orders we received were completely wrong. First time, I understand that mistakes happen. Second time, was shocked and let them know when I went to go pick up what was left behind. Third time, unacceptable and the manager did nothing to make it right. When a business does something wrong, they should offer anything they can to win a customer back, especially one who has been a loyal customer for years. The manager asked us what we wanted him to do and when we said we weren't coming back again to fix their mistake, they had no other options for us and after saying we aren't coming back as customers, he said okay and hung up the phone. Really? Maybe you should be more accodomating and willing to fix your mistakes. First time we were charged for a double cheeseburger, received a single. Second time we asked for extra sauce the wrap came completely dry. Third time asked for Manhattan clam chowder, received Matzo Ball. Maybe they can learn a lesson and have someone check the takeout orders before bagging them up. This was even after I checked my order before leaving, seeing everything was finally right and saying "oh the soup must be right, how hard can that be?" Boy was I wrong, and boy do I NOT recommend this diner for the level of service and lackluster way of properly making and bagging take-out orders.

I like the fact they have a person specifically to serve coffee to everybody that has a cup. The service was very good as well. The waitress Vikki did a great job. They're very quick to give you your food and water first. My friend had the bruschetta avocado toast. I had the avocado, cheddar, and tomato omelette with home fries. 1. The bruschetta avocado toast: They're too generous with the balsamic glaze. They need to lighten it up so you can enjoy the rest of the ingredients. Anything balsamic is typically a strong flavor as a small amount. The avocado, mozzarella and tomato are too heavy for the bread. They should try a more sturdy bread like sourdough to keep it up. The bread they currently use will just break apart. 2. My avocado, cheddar and tomato omelette w/ home fries: The home fries had some good flavor, but could've been better. The potatoes were cut like coins for the most part and I think that kills most of the home fries experience. Usually something like this is diced up to give an evenly crisp and cooked experience. All I really got was flimsy potato coins with some crisp here and there. Which led to the potatoes being soft and dull. It should've been pressed down onto more to give a more crisp flavor and texture. The omelette was pretty good. At certain points it seemed like the avocado was not ripe enough to cook with. It had a similar taste to steamed unseasoned broccoli, then at other portions of the omelette, it seems fine. The cheddar used lacked a bit taste. Overall, it was still good experience. The people are considerate and friendly. I also think they should bring the food out when it's a bit hotter. I'm not saying I need it to burn my mouth, but I don't want room temperature food that is slightly on the warm side.
