highly recommend getting the sushi lunch from here. you have a choice of a two or three roll lunch and get a choice is side (like soup). I personally think the deal is great and the sushi is really high quality! the seafood was really good and fresh making the sushi taste great! the only downfall i had was the clear soup. it just wasn't my favorite unfortunately!

I would highly recommend this restaurant! I came in late at night when most people are trying to rush you out an even mad you came I . However they were very pleasant took my order with a smile. After a few minutes I noticed some employees eating dinner. I asked the waitress what they were eating. They do not serve it but below I took a picture an they shared their dinner with me! It really was a unique experience! The sushi was amazing!!!

Atami Japan offers a pleasant surprise in Japanese style food that easily surpasses the chain "Hibachi" steakhouses you see in strip malls across America. Atami offers the standard hibachi style dinners and dinner combinations but where it differentiates itself is in their "SteakStone" entrees. SteakStone refers to a 800°f stone served to you with your choice of meat ready to cook. We thought this might be a bit of a gimmick but in practice, it results in meat cooked exactly to the temperature you desire and makes for an interesting and fun meal. Atami also offers a large selection of sushi and sashimi as well as Thai dinners and Bento Box lunches. We have never been disappointed in the quality of the food at Atami, with the ginger salad, miso soup and tempura appetizer all being excellent starters. For the main courses, the quality of the steak is also excellent and the sushi variety and quality also very good considering the location and price. Overall the cost reflects the quality and the value is excellent. We would definitely recommend Atami Japan.

Incredulously they had charged me .50 an olive for my two martinis. Total of 2.00 for 2 olives in each of my two martinis. The total check for the table was close to 300.00. It is. It is not the price but the audacity of the management to nickel and dime every facet of a meal. Supposedly this is fine dining, but you are going to charge money for a stuffed olive that comes in a jar from Aldis for 2.29. I will not be back under principle. I withdraw my membership voluntarily and will not renew. What has happened to a once flawless destination. If the management decides to move on to bigger and better things; there is a McDonalds down the highway, that needs someone to count pickle slices out for each hamburger. For many years, Rodney's has been one of my mother-in-law's favorite restaurants, so I have eaten foods from here at least a few times. Here are my ratings for some recent foods: Soy Glazed Salmon - 5 stars - The salmon was a good size, was cooked nicely, and had a sweet soy glaze. It was served over flavorful brussels sprouts, carrots, and potatoes. Veal parmesan - 4 stars - Veal tenderloin medallions were breaded and topped with tomato sauce and provolone cheese. I liked that the breading was not soggy. Pecan-encrusted chicken salad - 4 stars - Chicken breast was encrusted with pecan breading and served atop a house salad with pecans, tomatoes, dried cranberries, and mandarin oranges. Grilled chicken salad - 4 stars - Grilled chicken breast was baked in Cajun butter and served atop a fresh house salad with cheeses, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and fries.

I've been able to make two or three meals out of one entree here. Overall, service is pretty good but can be hit or miss. There was one day that I think they must have been having an off night because everyone seemed crazy stressed and very short with us when questions were asked. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the side salad was. It was a great balance/mix of ingredients with delicious dressing. My main entree (Strozzapretti) was tasty but a bit seemed like there was a bit too much grease/oil or something that made the dish seem heavier than it needed to be. In general, a tasty place but could improve if service was more consistent.

We learned a few days earlier that this place would actually be open on Christmas Eve, so we decided to make this our final stop before heading home. Though over the phone they told us not to worry - it wouldn't be busy, so no need for the call-ahead seating - it was a whole 'nuther matter once we arrived. Luckily, we were still able to get our party of 7 sat down reasonably quick. For a TR, the food was as good as any other I have been too. I will mention that the steak seemed a bit smaller than the one I normally frequent in FL, as well as the portions for the pulled pork, but it was still more than enough to make a meal out of. Unfortunately, however, my wife's meal and that of our niece came out wrong. My wife asked for her loaded mashed potato without bacon, and it came with bacon, and our niece wanted her mashed potato without gravy - it came with gravy. Thankfully, the waitress adjusted the bill as they didn't eat any of it, due in part to the service... Though the waitress was personable and did fix the bill, the main reason we didn't send either mashed potato back to get it fixed was that the waitress was mostly MIA during our dinner. By the time she did drop by, we were practically done so there really wasn't a point to send it back. And if I recall correctly she stopped by one other time, and then a subsequent with the fixed bill. A bit disappointing. Otherwise, it was a decent meal, our issues were taken care of, and overall an okay outing...
