Atami Japanese steak house in norwin shopping center has been on my bucket list for quite some time. Today finally came and my only regret was not going there sooner, it was excellent. They don't do the hibachi "show" but everything was tasty and cooked perfectly. Our service was fast and efficient. We ordered filet and chicken hibachi combo which is served with fried rice and veggies, plus your choice of soup or salad and 2 shrimp. I asked if I could sub noodles for the fried rice, they don't permit substitutions so I ordered a side of the noodles and they were perfect. Atami also offers steak served on an 800 degree stone that cooks at your table. We will definitely be back.

highly recommend getting the sushi lunch from here. you have a choice of a two or three roll lunch and get a choice is side (like soup). I personally think the deal is great and the sushi is really high quality! the seafood was really good and fresh making the sushi taste great! the only downfall i had was the clear soup. it just wasn't my favorite unfortunately!

I would highly recommend this restaurant! I came in late at night when most people are trying to rush you out an even mad you came I . However they were very pleasant took my order with a smile. After a few minutes I noticed some employees eating dinner. I asked the waitress what they were eating. They do not serve it but below I took a picture an they shared their dinner with me! It really was a unique experience! The sushi was amazing!!!

Atami Japan offers a pleasant surprise in Japanese style food that easily surpasses the chain "Hibachi" steakhouses you see in strip malls across America. Atami offers the standard hibachi style dinners and dinner combinations but where it differentiates itself is in their "SteakStone" entrees. SteakStone refers to a 800°f stone served to you with your choice of meat ready to cook. We thought this might be a bit of a gimmick but in practice, it results in meat cooked exactly to the temperature you desire and makes for an interesting and fun meal. Atami also offers a large selection of sushi and sashimi as well as Thai dinners and Bento Box lunches. We have never been disappointed in the quality of the food at Atami, with the ginger salad, miso soup and tempura appetizer all being excellent starters. For the main courses, the quality of the steak is also excellent and the sushi variety and quality also very good considering the location and price. Overall the cost reflects the quality and the value is excellent. We would definitely recommend Atami Japan.

A bit pricey, but very good. Hibachi is not cooked I'm front of you, but still tastes delicious. Sushi was very fresh and good. Hibachi rice was slightly lacking in flavor or I'd have given a 5.

Hungry and not thrilled by rest-stop…read morefast food, after reading the other reviews we decided to get off the Turnpike and give Fontana's a shot. Highly recommend the Fontana Peppers appetizer...I think that was the name. Sautéed peppers broiled with a light crust of cheese. Fantastic! House salad was the perfect size for me (loved the blue cheese dressing) and my husband enjoyed his bacon and turkey sandwich. I'm sad we don't live closer--the menu is extensive and I'd have loved to try more of it. Fancy and glitzy, it's not, but don't let that fool you--the food is fresh, there are healthy options, and portions are generous. Can't wait to pass through here on a future road trip.

Adding a steak to a salad was $8 and the steak was finely chopped to hide its quality. So a salad with steak cost me $20! Absolutely wrong! The salad is big in size but low on quality and variety. No cherry tomatoes, no onions, no peppers very few carrots. The ranch dressing was lacking in taste and very, very thin. The salad contains mostly pieces with the ribs through the center. Not the highest quality at all. Only one variety of lettuce. The menu is not very big and it lacks variety of choices and enhancements. I probably would not recommend this to a friend and probably won't return. It is still the same basic place It was 40 years ago. It will not give you warm and fuzzy feelings....it is a bar with a small side area. There's way too much competition in North Huntington to consider this a valid choice for the little it offers. Nothing here causes it to rise beyond average.

Examples of menu items are appetizers (e.g., mozzarella sticks and pulled-pork nachos), salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, entrees (e.g., salmon and chicken parmesan), pastas, pizzas, calzones, strombolis, cocktails, wines, and beers. Please note that the building has different entrances/exits for the dining room, bar, and to-go. For many years, Rodney's has been one of my mother-in-law's favorite restaurants, so I have eaten foods from here at least a few times. Here are my ratings for some recent foods: Soy Glazed Salmon - 5 stars - The salmon was a good size, was cooked nicely, and had a sweet soy glaze. It was served over flavorful brussels sprouts, carrots, and potatoes. Veal parmesan - 4 stars - Veal tenderloin medallions were breaded and topped with tomato sauce and provolone cheese. I liked that the breading was not soggy. Pecan-encrusted chicken salad - 4 stars - Chicken breast was encrusted with pecan breading and served atop a house salad with pecans, tomatoes, dried cranberries, and mandarin oranges. Grilled chicken salad - 4 stars - Grilled chicken breast was baked in Cajun butter and served atop a fresh house salad with cheeses, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and fries.

The portions here are huge and hearty! You get a lot of bang for your buck. What we ordered: -Stuffed Banana Peppers - these were HUGE and were really tasty! Definitely found a new fav appetizer -Fettucine du-Marie alfredo with jumbo tiger shrimp & scallops - I have to admit that I have not had an alfredo that is better than my homemade sauce, BUT this still hit the spot. The seafood portions were generous. -Side Caesar salad (comes with the pasta dish) - really big portion for a side salad which was nice! I liked that they added hard boiled eggs. Pretty good for a side salad. -Winter lemon drop cocktail - refreshing! Love a lemon drop -Complementary bread - yummy & loved that it was toasted -Pork chop & fried jumbo shrimp - my family's orders. I tried one of the fried shrimp and it was good! -Not pictured but my dad got the black angus strip - he ordered it rare but said it was a little overcooked. He said it was just good. He is a steak snob though. Overall this is a good spot for a solid meal if you find yourself in Irwin!

tl;dr: It was okay…read more.. Stopped in after a day spent out in the cold with kiddos stopping at all the local public parks to tire them out for the day. We learned a few days earlier that this place would actually be open on Christmas Eve, so we decided to make this our final stop before heading home. Though over the phone they told us not to worry - it wouldn't be busy, so no need for the call-ahead seating - it was a whole 'nuther matter once we arrived. Luckily, we were still able to get our party of 7 sat down reasonably quick. For a TR, the food was as good as any other I have been too. I will mention that the steak seemed a bit smaller than the one I normally frequent in FL, as well as the portions for the pulled pork, but it was still more than enough to make a meal out of. Unfortunately, however, my wife's meal and that of our niece came out wrong. My wife asked for her loaded mashed potato without bacon, and it came with bacon, and our niece wanted her mashed potato without gravy - it came with gravy. Thankfully, the waitress adjusted the bill as they didn't eat any of it, due in part to the service... Though the waitress was personable and did fix the bill, the main reason we didn't send either mashed potato back to get it fixed was that the waitress was mostly MIA during our dinner. By the time she did drop by, we were practically done so there really wasn't a point to send it back. And if I recall correctly she stopped by one other time, and then a subsequent with the fixed bill. A bit disappointing. Otherwise, it was a decent meal, our issues were taken care of, and overall an okay outing...
