We come here every once in a while for an early dinner/late lunch and we've never had a bad meal. It's usually not too busy at the time we come in which makes the atmosphere enjoyable. Really nice place to grab some lunch. Their Blue Cheese & Pear Salad is my favorite salad anywhere. There are always new appetizers to check out. Jackie is the nicest server there. Sometimes they get busy and service lags a bit but its no worse than anywhere else. I've never been during evening hours nor have I frequented the bar so I can't speak on those. Lunchtime though, worth a stop. Try the salad! Oh, and they heat up the pita perfectly! Noise level is pretty low considering the bar size and all the televisions. Never have to speak loudly to be hear. Handicap parking is in the back so the walk to the door is a little long. Not difficult. Inside there is plenty of room to maneuver between tables. read more

First time at the Firepit. We called at 4:00 on Friday for reservation and the woman on the phone was rude but we got one for 6:00. We sat in a corner area near the bar. There are quite a few tables, a large bar area and a covered porch area to sit. It was PACKED and extremely loud. We tried the pulled pork sandwich, ribs, burger and pizza. The work sandwich and burger was good, the ribs and pizza were ehhhh.. our waitress was great and handled such a busy night perfect. Maybe we will try it on a week night next time. read more

We visited for a family member's birthday. I was checking out the Yelp score before we went and was slightly worried. The low scores seem to be focused on the service received and not the food or facilities. I can honestly say that we experienced no issues with the service. Our server was nice and also was attentive to our group of 6. The restaurant seemed clean and somewhat newer. The menu was okay, not outstanding. We got an app of chicken tenders which were decent. Two of us ordered burgers. Actually we both got the same burger, the throwback. It was okay, but I will say both were overcooked. We asked for medium and got closer to well done. The fries were good. My son ordered the chicken with asparagus and enjoyed it. My daughter ordered a pizza and liked it as well. If back in the area, I would try it again. read more

I called in the morning and made a reservation for for 5:15 that afternoon, the person that I spoke with couldn't have been more accommodating in determining what our needs were and where we might want to sit, when we arrived, our table was waiting, we were seated and our drink orders were taken right away. The staff and service were outstanding our food orders came out in a reasonable amount of time. Some members of our group were happy with their selections and others were not, overall I'd say it's pretty typical bar food. I was super excited to find this place while traveling through but I do think we stopped at an "off time." We were one of the first tables here, and the restaurant did fill up quickly. The bruschetta chicken I ordered was horrible, the chicken portion was extremely small and I had to cut off/toss out several bites that were tough and gross. Additionally, it was doused in the balsamic glaze so I couldn't really judge the taste of the food. I was sharing with our toddler so requested to sub the asparagus with fresh veggies, they did so and also charged a generous upcharge to do so. I did confirm there was no charge before ordering but I guess that wasn't the case. The potatoes on my dish were not cooked completely, needless to say I did not finish my plate here. My husbands burger was "ok" which was surprising because it looked yummy. Bar was hopping for steeler game. We don't live in the neighborhood so I'm not sure if we would stop again. read more

Worst Macncheese I've ever had... was just buttered noodles and was like they weren't even whole.

Food was a mixed bag. I got the lunchtime soup/salad combo. I was excited for the mushroom soup but it was beyond salty! Yikes!! The salad was ok but the baby greens were difficult to pick up and really stick to the teeth! I couldn't wait to get home and floss. Husband liked his pulled pork and the onion rings, though the one onion ring I ate wasn't done in the middle! His charred Caesar salad was...interesting? My food order taken and arrived in a timely manner. Bar was pretty full for a weekend afternoon with sports on and my food came out in a timely manner as well. We are a hospice company that recently hosted a celebration luncheon for our hospice volunteers. We reserved the party room and from start to finish our experience was wonderful! Not only were our waitresses kind and organized, they were helpful and friendly too. The special touches - from the personalized menu they printed to permitting us to bring our own tablecloth and small items for each place setting - made everyone feel welcomed. The first time we went they completely ignored us so we left, the second time we went there they told us that the kitchen was closed even though it says on their website that they clos at 11 pm and we went at 9 pm. Waited only 20 minutes for a table on a Saturday evening. Hopes were high. Our server was perfectly adequate, but it took 90+ minutes to get two sandwiches and a kids meal. If our server had been more attentive, we'd have just asked for the check for our drinks and left. The acoustics are terrible, so this isn't the place for conversation over dinner. The food was good, but eating anything when everybody's in a foul mood from a ridiculous wait kind of ruins the vibe. I used to like this restaurant for the lunch specials. But yesterday ... I don't know if they changed recipes or cooks or what. I got my usual salmon with roasted Parmesan cauliflower and roasted potato blend. The salmon was delicious as usual but the vegetables were inedible. They were hard and the potatoes had so much spice you couldn't taste them. All you got was heat and a red, oily residue on the plate. I took the vegetables home thinking that I could add them to soup. Nope. Not even broth, beans, and more potatoes could tame the heat. read more

In general, the locals seem to either love it or hate it. Most of the complaints I've heard is that it's too expensive for what you get. So before I posted a review I wanted to try it more than once. In my opinion it's worth a visit. Tonight I had their steak "street tacos". I'm a fan. Not a huge portion, but they were really good. The waitress was very patient with us...we took quite a while to finally order because we were just enjoying the conversation. But she knew the menu and could answer questions when we finally got ourselves together. The decor inside is meh. They have a nice outside area, but it overlooks a parking lot. Two thumbs up for the beer selection though...lots of choices including some real local craft breweries which is something I always appreciate. Maybe the bill was a little on the high side, but the food and beer were really good. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit. read more

I've been here a number of times. I always have a good experience here, never outstanding, but good. It's a solid, reliable restaurant. Don't expect to be able to sit outside on a nice day if you don't have reservations though, we've been turned away a few times when we wanted to sit outside. The inside is fine, just if there's a band outside you won't be able to hear them from inside. I usually get a sandwich or burger here, they're always good, fries are always hot and fresh tasting.
