Worth the drive!! We had one in Gibsonia and really miss it. Wedding soup was delicious. But next time will opt for a salad ( up charge). I had the Steak and pasta listed below. WOW!! Could be shared with 2-3 people. OMG it was fantastic! Service attentive in such a lovely rustic setting. You must go. Trafford or Greensburg Steak & Wild Mushroom Gorgonzola Fresh Trenna Pata, Blacked Filet Tips, Sautéed Beech & Crimini Mushrooms, Fire Roasted Tomatoes and Spinach, in a Gorgonzola Cream Sauce

Food is absolutely horrible!!!! Lasagna sauce was watery and tasteless. Sauce had little to no meat.

Gluten free pasta with meat sauce. If you're gluten free and go out to get pasta , you can see the noodles are cooked perfect! I also recommend their salmon. I usually get that.. it's also gluten free . The service is always great here . I highly recommend getting reservations, especially if you're going on a weekend.. if you can't get into this one also try the one in Greensburg , they are both really good .

Olives and peppers is a great to go to spot for homemade pasta as well as many other Italian options that will all be sure to hit the spot. I love the thickness of the their noodles and I never leave without a pizza to go!

Olives and peppers is one of our favorites we return to again and again! This time we had the 1lb lasagna and chicken and artichoke linguini! The food is not only delicious but the portions are absolutely huge! Their wedding soup is some of our favorite we have ever had and they always have interesting and fun seasonal cocktails.

Lunch with my husband at Greensburg location; he had the white pizza - great cheese & best dough ever. I had homemade gnocchi with Bolognese sauce & "huge" meatball! Also their homemade Wedding Soup - best flavor. Our 3rd visit but NOT our last - server kept our coffee filled-very important. Also, great historic ambience!

Really love the family-friendly vibe here. We were seated at the time of our reservation and the server was quick to take our drink orders. We ordered beans and greens and the fried zucchini appetizer which were both sizable and good. Dinners were eggplant parmigiana; chicken parmigiana; Tortiglioni and meatballs; and vodka cavatelli. Most of us added a side salad for an up charge. The salad was great too but honestly, by the time dinner was served, I was full so I'd not recommend adding the salad. All of us took home the leftover food. A common site you will see is people carrying a large paper bag containing leftovers on their way out after dinner. Everything was beautifully plated and delicious. We will be back! Check out the awesome bar too!

They have a really good selection of Spaghetti and other pasta dishes. Their beer selection is good for a place that does not specialize in beer selection. They have a good mix of craft beers mixed with more popular brands. What I particularly like about this place is that every time I go there it is very friendly. Even the tone of the friendliness changes depending on the day of the week. I recently went there on a weekday after work and most people there knew each other, but it was more of a calm and relaxing environment then when I went there on a Saturday evening. Many of the people in there seem to know each other, but if you are new, it is still very welcoming. Bartenders will bring you into the conversation that they are having with other people there who are clearly regulars. you can tell how homey it is because on a recent visit there I heard two people who were leaving, but said "I'll be back" meaning they were coming back later that day. Everybody appeared to be having a good time, but nobody was drunk or obnoxious. They also have several video roulette games there and the games are large enough that you can actually watch people play. That is actually much more fun that I would have expected. General impression is that this is a very friendly place with good food and consistency in terms of being enjoyable experiences.

Walking back to the dining room is more reminiscent of having entered through the wrong door. There was a lot of restaurant clutter to be observed on the way but the seating area was very pleasant as was our greeting and attention given to our dinners. What excellent surprises awaited us as our appetizers and main courses made their way to our table. The spinach calzone was superb with a crust that was perfection. Next came my spinach rolls which were just as good. Lots of homemade pasta dishes were next followed much later by many take home boxes. For about twenty bucks each we just couldn't eat everything. Wilmerding must be proud that this almost forty year old restaurant has sustained its following. It has a bright future as both father and son are the chefs. This family landmark will remain in place for a few more decades.

When you enter the restaurant, there are a few refrigerators like you'd find in a house right in the lobby area. You walk past what used to be a candy counter to get to the dining area. We were greeted right away and sat at our table. The waiter brought us our drinks right away. He also brought us 4 pepperoni rolls they said were extras. They were ok. Not exactly what I remember. They came with a side of sauce which was sweet and had a good taste. I ordered the spinach calzone which is one of their popular dishes. The others got the chicken Parmesan. My dish was ok. The crust was kind of crispy and had a weird texture. I was surprised there was no ricotta in the calzone. It was pretty big. The chicken Parmesan was ok. It came with chunks of cut up chicken, sauce and a lot of cheese. It was a good size. Mushrooms were added to each one, and we got charged $9 for them, which we thought was a little much since we weren't made aware of it. The restaurant has changed hands a number of times over the years, so it makes sense the food is not quite like it was. The service was great.

I grabbed the Chicken Ranchero Medium Pizza and the Pep-Tastic Cheesinator. Both were phenomenal. Great spread of quality toppings. Delicious crust. From the outside it's a basic building and appears to be a bbq restaurant. Upon entry you're transformed back in time a bit, starting with the old school kool cigarette machine. The vibe is less restaurant and more bar. Full bar; high tops, and a few booths. We were told to sit where we want. We were immediately offered drinks and menus. The menu styling is very basic. No colors, pictures, bells or whistles. It's a white piece of paper typed up in the default font and laminated. Personally, I found it charming. The server told us about their specials not on the menu: po boy, Mac and cheese, and shrimp. We ordered off the standard menu. I got a Cuban sandwich. Co workers had wings and ribs. Everyone loved their food. We also got a couple of salads. It was colorful, fresh, and abundant. Everything was super affordable. $5 salads and $11 entrees. Service was prompt abr friendly. We were in Pittsburgh suburbs for three days and this was the best food we had. It was casual and straight forward, but friendly and yummy. If you're visiting North Versailles I definitely recommend this place from the options available.
