They knocked it out of the park today. We were seated as soon as we walked in the door. Menus and drinks were handed out in good time. We were a four top. No appetizer but every one of us added something or altered our order. I was a little nervous for our waitress, Michelle. I didn't need to be because she and the kitchen nailed it. I asked for the Pasta Diablo to be extra spicy. The kitchen delivered. The bread was on the colder/room temp side but still super soft. Salads seemed a little smaller than the past but still fresh and crispy. The portions are some of the biggest in the area. I am always amazed when I get the lunch serving. I can't imagine how large the dinner ones are! Almost every table was filled but the noise to music volume ratio was pleasant. Adequate lighting to read menus. Decent amount of handicap parking that leads right on to the sidewalk to the door. Might be a little cramped for wheelchairs, strollers, or scooters but still, manageable. read more

Abruzzi is an excellent Italian restaurant. I grew up in Brooklyn and New Jersey, so I like to think I know a bit about Italian food. Abruzzi's food is excellent, I have liked every thing I have tried on the menu. The appetizers are a bit pricey, but very good - try the artichokes. My favorite dish there is the Chicken Parmesan, of which you will be served three gigantic and delicious slices of chicken. Their pasta sauces are excellent and the servers are efficient and friendly. The dining room and bathrooms are clean. Check out their creative drinks menu and their chicken alfredo pizza. read more

Went for out anniversary dinner. Everything was soooo flavorfull! Chicken Alfredo and Alfredo pizza. It had been a long time since I got pizza there (pepperoni) and remember it being so good, I didn't feel guilty just ordering the Alfredo pizza. It did not disappoint! The fresh bread and dipping oil is sooo good. I've had the manicotti and lasagna before but wasn't in the mood for marinara today. I will definitely take my Italian family here next time they visit. We ordered takeout and spent a pretty penny here for 5 people. The people at the pickup counter were very nice but ultimately forgot a soup. The food was seriously nothing to come back for. I got the pasta Rosa, and it was seriously just pasta and sauce. Nothing else. Which would have been fine as a side but I was expecting it to be phenomenal in order for it to stand on its own as an entire dinner entree. My husband got the restaurants "favorite" - the pasta amato...he said it lacked flavor and the chicken wasn't seasoned at all. He did like the peas as an addition in the pasta though. Ugh and the tiramisu--gosh, I am so sick of restaurants thinking they're making tiramisu and they are not. Stop false advertising!!! It was a wetter vanilla cake with a hint of alcohol-- not worth it. Needless to say, We won't be coming back. I don't understand how this place has such high of a rating to be honest. Met friends from the area here at their suggestion and what a wonderful surprise it was. It was a busy Friday night and thank goodness our friends made reservations. After a short wait we were taken to our table and began to experience pretty much all they had to offer. For appetizers we had their bread with oil and Italian seasoning, another bread selection, and their antipasta - all of it delicious. For dinner it was a share across the table of four different calzones - nice sized, fully filled, and they came out hot and fresh - delicious all of them as well. Finally for desserts we had cake offering and a cheesecake - both were (you guessed it) delicious as well. The restaurant has a semi classy vibe, with a casual feel. The food was really good with a very extensive menu of Italian cuisine. We started out with some calamari. Portion sizes are good, I feel like you are getting your money's worth with coming to Abbruzi. They have a separate gluten free menu and are very accommodating to dairy free needs as well. So, these people appreciate their customers and it's always popping even when it costs $1,000 for dinner, this might be the last place on route 30 not raising their prices while gouging you on quality! I'm talking to you FIRE PIT (no hard feelings)! But I appreciate the staff and restaurants approach to dining here and I always get excited when I get a chance to eat their Buffalo Chicken. Went there for lunch yesterday. Service was excellent! We ordered the lunch portions my husband had the chicken parmigiana it was delicious and came with soup or salad and spaghetti the portion was larger than most restaurants serve for dinner! I just moved to the area and we tried this place out the other evening for dinner. I was very happy with the experience! The service was decent, we did feel a little rushed to order, and since we hadn't been there before it took us a little time to get through the menu. But the food was very yummy! The chicken parm is massive!! Wish I could have ordered the lunch portion for dinner. Entrees come with a salad and man that Parmesan dressing is yummy!! It is also very well priced. I was impressed on many levels with my latest experience here. Pros: old school yinzer Italian place. Went for Mothers Day, place was packed, staff scurrying around and doing a GREAT job. A measure of a good Italian place is the bread they give you before your meal. This bread was good, with garlic/olive oil dipping saucesp (though I wished the crust was a bit harder). They have the standard dishes, plus calzones and pizza. Meals are generous servings, another sign of a good restaurant. Our server Charita was experienced, talented, and engaging. She rocked. Wedding soup was delicious. Cons: menus were frayed, place was dark, needed a fresh coat of paint. We sat along a wall shared with kitchen, and it was loud. I love Nine Inch Nails, but not when I am eating lol. Summary: I was very happy with my experience. Will be back. Pro Tip: ask for the Rosa sauce. Another spot that has been on my watch list to try. It looks so inviting all the times I have driven past it, but I am usually on another mission and can't stop in. Up until today, I didn't have feedback from anyone else who has tried it, so I wasn't sure if the place was just all looks and nothing more. Our server was very friendly and cheerful as she explained the menu. They list lunch and dinner pricing next to each menu item. Menu features pizza,(4 different sizes and 10 different styles and flavors) I noticed an option to add ricotta cheese to your pizza. 8 different calzones, including a tuna calzone! Never heard of that. Menu is pretty extensive and features chicken, veal and seafood dinners, open faced sandwiches, hoagies, house specialties, (lobster ravioli with vodka cream sauce ) 14 different appetizers, soups and salads. Pretty decent options. I decided to order your standard meatball hoagie. However, when it was served to me, I noticed it wasn't a "meatball" hoagie. It was more like a crushed up meatball hoagie because there were chunks of meat all over the bun. The first bite indicated that it tasted exactly like a meatball hoagie but minus the round balls of meat I generally expect. The bun was great, the amount of sauce was just right, and the crunch of the bun made me forget all about the original appearance of it all. So much so, that I never even asked the server if this was the norm! All the more reason to go back and see if its the same, and to try a slice of the homemade cheesecake! I order eggplant parmesan nearly every time I dine at an Italian restaurant, and the eggplant parm here was melt-in-your-mouth fantastic! My friend thoroughly enjoyed his veal parm. For my first order at Abruzzi's, I think it's very good. Ordered for takeout a large pepperoni and sausage, small margharita with red sauce, and a chicken alfredo dinner. The order was hot, ready, and accurate in twenty minutes. Price was very reasonable, too! Compared to Luciano's in White Oak (I think these restaurants are related somehow, perhaps different Pasqrelli brothers), I slightly prefer Luciano's pizza. Luciano's does not currently offer a margharita, though, and I thought this one was pretty good. The problem with Luciano's is that they are not consistent. And for what they charge, they should be consistent. I digress... I do feel the chicken alfredo was superior at Abruzzi's, with the sauce being thicker. The side salad looked great and they also included a nice little loaf of bread, which was great. Sorry, no pics of this dinner. The takeout counter area was clean and the staff was helpful when I forgot to order additional alfredo sauce. Parking should be pretty easy except on their busiest nights. Abruzzi's, I've passed your restaurant hundreds of times and I am glad I stopped by tonight. Give it a shot. Rating four stars, though I think it's really somewhere between four and five. read more

1st off it is not Amato's it is Abruzzi Italian Cucina, and anytime a place plays the name game... something fishy is going on! With that said, Décor is nice and I love the chandelier when you walk in. Our waiter was great! The wedding soup was also very good, And that's all the pros. We ordered the firecracker drink witch is mostly just Vodka with sprinkles. I had the chicken masala which I specifically ordered "well done". It took a very long time for our food, my friend had the lasagna. But I assumed it was because I ordered the chicken well done. Unfortunately as soon as I took a bite of my food I knew it... the chicken was still raw~! In my book, regardless of anything else... If you can't at least cook the food so people don't get sick then its an automatic FAIL! read more

Got takeout from Abruzzi's today. They were obviously very busy. Not only was the food excellent but it was ready to be picked up when they said it would be. The staff didn't forget a single thing on the order and were very professional at their job. The owner definitely knows what they're doing in the hiring process.
