Always wonderful. Food and service can't be beat. Wide variety of foods. Majority is Polish.

The drinks were really weak for the price and the food was nothing special. The ambiance is very casual with a lot of table space. They seemed to be under staffed for the crowd they had so we had to wait to reorder drinks. The parking seemed to be adequate and it was pretty clean. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back since there are a lot of really good restaurants in that Southpointe area. A lot of them would probably be a lot more expensive. read more

Have ordered delivery numerous times and has been pretty good. Last order a few weeks ago, and the pizza, which was ordered with sausage and mushrooms, came with the toppings so sparse that they couldn't be seen, let alone tasted! Breading on the fish sandwich was soggy. The pizza and the sandwiches (and the fries) were barely warm when they arrived. Forgot the tartar as well. I let them know and never heard back from. Definitely moving on, and if you were smart, you would as well! read more

Better than your church lady's pierogi, haluski and halupki! Kind servers and just hands down, the BEST comfort food around. I'm from beaver county and I would drive all the way here, over attending any other pierogi sale in my area to get my cabbage fix. I don't know what their secret is but wow, just wow. Such good food! Bubba's is a former DQ that they transformed into a little dinerish eatery. It's small, just 8 tables for four. It's pretty casual but the dining area is quaintly decorated and comfortable. Bubba's is known primarily for their Polish cuisine, but they have a couple other items if someone in your party isn't in to the Polish thing. (I'm into it, hence the four-star rating.) We were driving the turnpike and wanted a nice stop for lunch and Bubba'd didn't disappoint! We ordered the Pierogi pizza with bacon and the Polish Platter. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The pierogi pizza, for those curious, is a Detroit style pizza with puréed potato mixed in with the cheese blend (the cheese pierogi filling), and no tomato sauce on top. Stopped in with a friend at his recommendation. A small local diner kinda spot. Not too impressive looking...but the food! A nice lady took our orders - pierigies and the stuffed cabbage for my friend and the kielbasa sandwich with kraut and Cole slaw for me. When the food is this delicious you overlook the cracked coffee cup and the creamer/milk served in a small condiment cup. The coleslaw was the best I've had in years, the sandwich perfect and on a delicious bun. I couldn't help but look jealously at my buddy's food. Taste trumps everything. This is truly excellent fare. This is the absolute worst restaurant in all of western PA. Pierogies were leaden and tasteless. Soups were boring and service was horrible. How they can ruin pierogies is beyond me. read more

Was looking for something that we could sit in and eat. Looked over Yelp and realized this place was only a 15 min drive away. Haven't had any polish food like this since covid started. So we took the drive down to Irwin. Upon arriving greeted ASAP. Was only one other family eating there. Order was taken quickly and came out only a few minutes later. They were taking all precautions I would be looking for when eating out like plastic cutlery and other then my platter was on a normal plate. Started with the potato pancake. Wasn't super greasy which I really loved about it. It's a rolled pressed patty and I think that has something to do with it. My platter was really good. 3 pirogies, haluski and one cabbage roll. Was the perfect amount for what I eat. The Roll was just sweet enough and the haluski was how I like it. The noddles looked home made and were a bit thick but I like it like that. The bread pudding is something I don't eat very often. The deep fried ones we got were so good. Just crunchy enough and warm in the middle. My fiancé got the Kielbasa sandwich which she really enjoyed. I did take a bite and thought I'd get this in the future. I would highly suggest checking this place out. Was very cost efficient and was home made from what I could tell. They do other things like pizza Detroit style, have salads and sandwiches. Authentic. This place is the real deal, they offer homemade pierogi, halupki, halushki, soups and more. Everything was delicious. Bubba's has a "to go" section where you can pick up containers of food or they will cook to order. You can special order pierogis to your liking and they are made fresh. My husband and I were in town for a basketball tournament at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe PA. We decided to try some local Polish food. I ordered the platter that had three pierogies, halupki, and haluski. My husband had the fish sandwich with a side of pierogies. The pierogies were hot, fresh topped with butter and Vidalia onions. I had the potato and cheese and the potato and sauerkraut. The filling was plentiful. Very delicious! The ambience to the restaurant is very small. It only has about eight tables. My husband enjoyed his fish. It was tasty too. We both enjoyed the stuffed cabbage rolls. I'm 100% Polish, so Polish food is my comfort food. We attended an event at a winery where Bubba's had a stand. Unfortunately, they ran out of items we wanted to sample, so we decided to stop at the restaurant on the way home instead. The restaurant space itself is pretty small and no frills, but works perfectly for the type of place that it is. We were greeted enthusiastically by the server and she graciously answered the ton of questions my four year old twins threw her way (including what her favorite dinosaur is). I ordered the advertised special which was a stuffed cabbage, three pierogi and haluski. It was an impressive amount of food for the price, especially the size of the stuffed cabbage. It was definitely that homemade taste/look and I enjoyed every bite. The pierogi come with an option of potato and cheese or sweet sauerkraut. I tried some of each and they were both flavorful. You can choose to have butter/onions or just plain. My kids split the sausage sandwich and I'm glad our server advised to split it vs ordering two because it was huge. The sausage was full of flavor and the bread was fresh. Our meal was capped off with the bread pudding which was a deliciously sweet treat. I happened to be driving by and saw the sign advertising pierogies, haluski, and stuffed cabbage, and thought I would give it a try. The restaurant will sell the food either hot to eat there, or they also sell it called so that you can take it home and heated up later. I bought my food cold, and then heated it up in my microwave later in the evening. The stuffed cabbages were very large and very filling. The cabbage was cooked just right so that it still had a little bit of al dente to it. They were delicious. The haluski had nice large noodles with just the right amount of seasoning and butter to balance the noodles with the cabbage. I would definitely frequent this restaurant again, as it is hard to get a good stuffed cabbage even in Pittsburgh. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant read more

I was being pretty basic when I ordered last night but everything there looked really yummy that I was almost overwhelmed. I ended up with a grilled cheese and french fries. It was still really good hot and buttery with a good amount of gooey cheese served on grilled texas toast with a side of Halupki sauce for dipping. It also came with a side and was fairly inexpensive. The amount of pierogie options available are amazing. I will back to try some other things for sure. The have really good looking pizzas, chicken, soups, fish, and an array of sandwiches. They offer dessert pierogies and bread pudding as well. One word: PIEROGIES. They are delicious. Order them. But seriously, I've never been disappointed and you can't really go wrong with delicious doughy pockets full of potatoes and cheese. I was so excited when I moved to Irwin to learn that they expanded to a second location here. We also ordered our Christmas eve dinner from Bubba's, and they went above and beyond in providing us with a great, easy meal to feed a family gathering. Also, their pizza is absolutely delicious, although we don't order it often because it's a little pricey. Overall, I think this is a great place for takeout/delivery. read more
