    Salad with chicken

We stopped here on a snowy Friday night before we went to a show at the Lamp Theatre. We split a large salad and it was a very big salad and they brought us separate plates so that we could share it. Our pizza we enjoyed very much as well as we were big fans of wood fire pizza, we even took two slices home with us. I believe this restaurant is BYOB. We just had soda and water. We would definitely return if we were in the area. It was crowded inside and within a half hour of us being seated people were waiting for tables. They were also busy with takeout orders. Parking is metered on the street. But we parked a couple blocks away for free and walked down.

Second visit here, another pre-show dinner before seeing a act at The Lamp Theater. So convenient to park here and then take a leisurely stroll after dinner to the theater. Of course they don't take reservations so we were unsure if we'd get a table , but it was not problem. I think the majority of their business is take out judging by the steady stream of people through the door. To that end, there was only one waitress on duty for the whole restaurant, but she did take care of us very well. The pizza was delicious again and my husband thought it was the best Margarita he's had lately. He noted the crust had "leopard spots" (little burnt spots) which makes it especially tasty. It's really great that they only have two prices for small or large pizzas with out extra charges for toppings. The same goes for salads. One price and you can have asa many veggies as you want! We sat in the addition that night. Kind of a sparse industrial vibe, but it's a pizza shop! As long as they keep such reasonable prices, I don't care! I want to come back and have a sandwich next time!

    Very disappointing pizza.

This pizza is beyond thin. Nothing like the pizza here last 5 years. Spoke with the manager. He said depends on who spins the dough. Very disappointed. No offer for replacement or refund.

Had the 1972 Pizza. Amazing. The dough is delicious. Flakey crust and thin but not too thin. Great balance. Found out that special dough is make locally with some special ingredients. The Andouille Sausage, fresh mushrooms and onions make this a really tasty treat topped with a nicely sharp cheese. Perhaps the best pizza I've had in all of Western Pa

10 out of 10. Crispy, flavorful and cheap. No flop. Worth a trip if you're in the area.

Out of 10, I would rate the pizza as a 4. Too thin and light. We ate the large pizza and were still hungry.

I used to come to Harrison City Pizza Pub to eat a lot growing up. Especially in high school. It…read moreused to be a nice little food/6 pack shop..a nice place to hang out and have a meal. Well now..it's probably been at least 15 years since I've been here..it has become an all-out dive bar. Like a really really divey dive bar. They took over the space that I believe was previously a hair salon, knocked down the wall, and built a huge bar. There are no longer tables there to sit at, just the bar. The area where the front counter used to be is still there and looks the same, except for the fact that it doesn't look like it's ever used..it appears to be abandoned. So why the five stars you ask? Well, they have a sandwich here that was my absolute favorite sandwich growing up. It's a very basic sandwich..it's just a chicken hoagie with cheese and mayonnaise..but for some reason the way they made it was absolutely delicious. I had been trying to recreate it for the 15 years since I moved away. And I mean, I tried to recreate it everywhere..from upscale sandwich places in big cities, to all the "fast food" sub places you could think of. Chicken, cheese, mayonnaise..so simple..yet not a single place that I tried to recreate it at ever came close. Couldn't even recreate it at home. Never thought I'd be able to enjoy it again. I was absolutely shocked that Harrison City Pizza Pub was still open..granted it's nowhere near what it used to be..but it was still open. I was so excited. Now keep in mind my girlfriend knows all about this sandwich..she's been with me when I've attempted to order it and/or recreate it. She was almost as psyched as I was that I was going to be able to show her where it came from and what made it so good. Well the second we walked into the new Harrison City Pizza Pub everybody's expectations hit the floor. My girlfriend couldn't believe this was the place I had always talked about so fondly that made that infamous sandwich..and I couldn't believe what the place had become. I was sure they didn't serve food anymore..and asked and surprisingly they did. I was positive that there was no way they still made that sandwich..but they did. But I knew for a fact there was absolutely no way they still made it the same... I ordered the sandwich..the bartender asked if it was for here or to go. My mom and girlfriend gave me a look like there was no way they were staying to eat there..so I said to go. It took about 15 minutes to cook. They were getting impatient but I kept assuring them it would be worth it if it were the same. The food finally was ready so I paid and we left. And guess what? The sandwich tasted EXACTLY the same as it did all those years ago. It sent my taste buds into this crazy nostalgic whirlpool. It was the sandwich that I have craved for so long. It was too good to be true. My girlfriend tasted it and said it was pretty good. I mean, there's no way she was going to understand how great this was to me, but I think she could at least see what I was saying about it and see how it did taste different then all the countless attempted recreations over the years. So yeah, if you're in the area, stop by and try this sandwich. There's no way you'll enjoy it as much as I do..but then again, you might.
