No cherry tomatoes, no onions, no peppers very few carrots. The ranch dressing was lacking in taste and very, very thin. The salad contains mostly pieces with the ribs through the center. Not the highest quality at all. Only one variety of lettuce. The menu is not very big and it lacks variety of choices and enhancements. I probably would not recommend this to a friend and probably won't return. It is still the same basic place It was 40 years ago. It will not give you warm and fuzzy feelings....it is a bar with a small side area. There's way too much competition in North Huntington to consider this a valid choice for the little it offers. Nothing here causes it to rise beyond average.

I LOVE this place! Yeah, it's just a small pizza joint, but these guys know what they are doing. When you walk in, you're immediately hit with the smell of the wood grill. It's not a bad thing, but is a reminder of how cozy it is inside. Before you notice this, however, you're greeted by one of the friendly staff members, who are always very helpful and attentive. I've had one of the best dining experiences at this shop. No, really. Any time we have questions about the menu or have any additional requests, the servers are always quick to help. My drink is never empty, and I never feel like we've been abandoned (which happens at other places more than we'd like to admit). On top of the friendly servers, one of the owners seem to be ever-present at dinner time, and always check to make sure the food meets our expectations. This is a nice touch; you don't get that type of attention everywhere you go. The pizza is delicious, and comes out very quickly. One of our guilty pleasures is the steak and bacon combo we're able to get--delicious! It's a great, meaty, salty combination that doesn't always come to mind, but should. I'm very glad they turned the outdoor area into an extension of the dining room, since it can get very busy here on the weekends when the weather is nice. Parking is free and plentiful in the lot connected to the building, and it's relatively easy to find. Word on the street is that these guys are opening a burger joint around the corner--can't wait! read more

Must have caught this place on a bad night.... Heard it was good so we gave it a try. Had a pizza and one of the DO wich things. The pizza was burned to a crisp. I know these pizza's are different but it was burned. You don't get your money's worth that's for sure. They aren't cheap. The DO wich or whatever you call it was a big piece of "dough" with very little inside to actually call it a sandwich (or DO wich). I asked to speak to a manager and was met with hostility by the man that was helping us. All I wanted an explanation is all. oh well. We won't be back, there are many other good pizza places around town, I would avoid this one. read more

After a great first visit to this place, my next two experiences have not been so good. I visited this place on a Sunday two weeks ago and they seemed to be out of the majority of things on their menu. I thought it was a one time thing. Yesterday, I ordered pizza to go and starting traveling there to pick it up. Ten minutes they called saying they were out of what we ordered. Whoever manages this place needs to either update the menu or make sure the food items are available. read more

We have been here several times, and usually stop for a slice when we are in the area. Located right on E Main Street, this pizza shops serves made-to-order pies, pizza by the slice, rolls, hoagies, and much more. There is street parking around the shop, along with a paid parking lot right across the street. The shop is smaller, but is updated and cleanly. There are several tables for dine-in guests, but no large tables. If you have a larger party, you would need to split up into several tables due to layout and size of restaurant. We visited on a Sunday afternoon in July. This was during a Farmer's Marker right on E Main Street, so there were a few customers from that. However, it was not too busy or overwhelming. We only had one person in front of us when we went in to order and had no issue finding a table. You are able to order whole pizzas and customize them like any other pizza place, but what makes Slice on Broadway stand out to me are the slices available at the counter. That concept very much emulates their namesake, and reminds me of shops in NYC in that regard. Since I usually visit here with just my fiancé, we tend to stick to ordering a few slices instead of an entire pizza. This way, we can try different types without spending a fortune/having excessive leftovers. On this visit, we tried four different slices and a roll. We had a Plain Slice, Pepperoni Slice, White Slice with Spinach and Tomato, and a Pepperoni/Cheese/Pepper Slice. All of them were good, but my personal favorite was the Pepperoni/Cheese/Pepper. That is not a combination I would have necessarily ordered for myself in a full pizza, but I loved getting to try it. It opened my eyes to putting the yellow peppers on pizza! Additionally, we ordered a Spinach Roll. This was very good, and came with a marinara sauce for dipping. All of the items that you order at the counter - the slices and rolls - are heated up before being served to you. So, even though the items are on display, they arrive hot and fresh out of the oven. I have found the staff here to always be helpful and friendly. Specifically on this visit, we received great service from the cashier. He informed us on what the different pizza slices were while being friendly and hospitable. Personally, I have never had a negative experience with the staff at this location. The prices are average here. It is nice how you can purchase individual slices that are ready in a few minutes, but ordering several of those will add up quickly. They do accept both cash and card, which is a plus! I would recommend Slice on Broadway if you are thinking about making a stop. They have several locations, and you can try different pies by purchasing a slice available at the counter. The service is quick and friendly. It is a great place for a quick lunch or bite at any time of day. I have always enjoyed coming here, and will definitely be back in the future.
