Menu items include French toast, pancakes, waffles, omelettes, sandwiches, salads, soups, and non-alcoholic beverages. My husband and I ate breakfast here one time. An employee promptly and kindly greeted us, seated us, took our order, and brought out our foods and drinks. I ordered the 14-inch buttermilk pancake with triple berries on top, and my husband ordered the sausage gravy 'n biscuits with two sunnyside-up eggs. Both foods were significantly larger than what we could fit into our stomachs, and they tasted very good. The total price was $27 with cash or $28 with a credit card plus a tip. We had to pay up front at the cash register, not at our table. Note that a free parking lot is behind the building.

Toast is extra, but the prices are reasonable for everything and portion sizes are sufficient. My daughter had a breakfast with hash browns and said they were cold, unfortunately. That is the only negative thing I can say. The restaurant and ladies room were both very clean. The walls are adorned with lots of funny farmhouse signs. the whole place is very country themed . You can tell it is a favorite local breakfast spot and if you live in Westmoreland County you should definitely have breakfast or lunch here!

They are all comfortable and spacious with seats that will work with any body type. The food menu has their featured chicken, pizza, salads and entrees such as pasta. I don't know the secret to their breading, but is is crispy and packed with flavor and the chicken is juicy and tender. Portion size is great and everything I've ever ordered has been tasty. The one downside is that with the high ceilings and nothing to dampen sound, it can get really loud . Not so loud you can't hear the other people at your table or anything, but noisier than most places that are a sit down restaurant. A wonderful spot for a tasty meal!

Beyond horrible! I usually only take the time to write reviews when an experience is exceptionally…read moregood or exceptionally bad. Unfortunately, this was the latter. I've always had fond memories of the original Atria's in Mt. Lebanon--it was a family favorite before I moved to California. My mom now lives in Canonsburg, and I visit twice a year. When I was here in January, I had an outstanding short rib special, so I was excited to return and even recommended it to a friend I was spending the day with. I ordered one of Atria's signature dishes, the slow-roasted pot roast, and it was one of the worst restaurant meals I've had in a long time. The meat was so tough I could barely cut it. It was clearly overcooked, while the carrots were so undercooked they were hard. The potatoes were fine, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. I also had a cup of wedding soup that tasted good, but it was served only lukewarm. I didn't want to complain because I was catching up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and I was starving after only having a yogurt that morning. I tried to eat it, but it was simply inedible. I finally sent it back and asked if I could order a Reuben instead--another signature dish I've always enjoyed--but unfortunately they were out of it. Instead, I ordered a side of green beans. Ironically, my friend's green beans came out looking charred, while mine were cooked and seasoned well. Then, when my replacement was brought out, my utensils had already been taken away, and I had to flag down another waitress just to get a fork. The whole evening just felt off. Our waitress was very sweet, and she told me the manager had comped my pot roast. Honestly, that was the least they could do--it wasn't just disappointing, it was inedible. I'm glad they removed it from the bill, but that doesn't make up for such a poor dining experience. I really wanted to support a longtime local favorite, especially since I've had great meals here before. Sadly, this visit was a huge disappointment.

For many years, Rodney's has been one of my mother-in-law's favorite restaurants, so I have eaten foods from here at least a few times. Here are my ratings for some recent foods: Soy Glazed Salmon - 5 stars - The salmon was a good size, was cooked nicely, and had a sweet soy glaze. It was served over flavorful brussels sprouts, carrots, and potatoes. Veal parmesan - 4 stars - Veal tenderloin medallions were breaded and topped with tomato sauce and provolone cheese. I liked that the breading was not soggy. Pecan-encrusted chicken salad - 4 stars - Chicken breast was encrusted with pecan breading and served atop a house salad with pecans, tomatoes, dried cranberries, and mandarin oranges. Grilled chicken salad - 4 stars - Grilled chicken breast was baked in Cajun butter and served atop a fresh house salad with cheeses, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and fries.

And not quite sure if people…read morehave become loyal because of location or because of the specials such as prime rib and really great hearty meals... But I can tell you your breakfast was very traditional. Nothing super exotic or trendy. I'm a Southern girl so I was looking forward to getting country fried steak, gravy and eggs... They're country fried steak is a special that's named after the owner or one of its friends or something... And all it is is steak and gravy... Kind of interesting for a breakfast dish. No eggs. And was one of the most expensive meals so adding eggs would have really put it over the top for breakfast. So I elected to go with a variation of hash browns that I'm accustomed to getting the south from waffle House... Scattered, diced which means tomatoes, and covered which means slice of cheese. Although they restrict the ability to buy beer and wine in grocery stores in Pennsylvania, there is no restriction on when you can get a alcoholic beverage like there is in the south... Bloody Mary with breakfast at 9:00 a.m.. there was a long line to wait for a table so my friend who's the local went to the other entrance for the package store and saw there was ample room at the bar so that's where we went. We split an omelette and got some bacon on the side. The bacon was clearly oven baked and extremely crispy and is barely flavorful. The waitress was nice and attentive at the bar. And she had the southern charm of calling us honey and sweetie even though she was younger than us. My friend says she used to come by there often when her kids were younger or for their weekly specials. It's a large restaurant so plenty of tables in the traditional space. And I guess because of not having extra weight stuff they didn't encourage sitting in the bar... We sat at the bar so had the direct attention of the bartender. You can see from the menu there's lots of options for food which is probably why it's such a popular place.

Circling the small parking lot looking for your spot, reminiscing on the alumni sports team photos on the walls, and doing the twist in the entryway to navigate your way to your takeout, Gateway Grill is not much... but the food is usually fire!!! The pizza slices have big bubbling crusts with pepperoni so rustic cut that you will wonder if they accidentally gave you the whole piece... over and over again. Don't sleep on their meatball pizza. Because you will have basically full size meatballs for every slice... and they are delightful. We had family in and bought a large order - and we opted to try their sandwiches. The Chuck Roast sandwich and Turkey Rachel both sounded delicious... and Gateway Grill does have fresh smoked meats too! Takeout is a trip. In a full restaurant, you have to kinda stand in the way at the front counter and flag down someone to grab your order. But they definitely do a lot of to-go pizzas so you'll be able to handle it. Unfortunately, with their current to-go containers, the sandwiches ended up being sopping wet with condensation... the bottom toasted bread on both was basically dripping instead of crunchy. The fries had lost all texture too- air fryer to the rescue. I'd still recommend going - just stick to only pizza when ordering takeout until they find a way to ensure quality of other options.
