As I was waiting I was told by one of the nice guys there that the tomatoes were accidentally left out of my spinach calzone. They credited my order on the spot and I didn't have to pay for it. Ordered a large pizza with two toppings - spent almost $30 plus tip. Pizza was to be delivered in a little over an hour. It was about an hour and 45 minutes. Both my husband and I thought pizza tasted different as we order from them all the time. Pizza had very little sauce - it was all cheese. I called to complain and I was very nice about it. The guy I talked to said they use the same amount of sauce (2 scoops) all the time for a large pizza. He he had an I don't care attitude and was somewhat rude. I said that he just lost a customer then and he more or less said that it was my perogative. Didn't try to offer any kind of reimbursement or offer any free food. We live near by and mama Peppinos has solidly been a go to for pizza nights for our family. We love the specialty pizzas and even though I'd still highly recommend this to anyone I felt like I should mention the less than stellar experience in hopes that it'll improve next time. I recently ordered a gyro pizza because it was one of the rare ones that every member of my family enjoyed! when my husband picked it up they had mistakenly made us a gyro sandwich and were insistent that's what had been ordered. I definitely said large gyro pizza but whatever, that happens, it's very frustrating as the paying customer to be told you ordered wrong but they made the pizza we wanted and said it would be 15 minutes. That would've been fine and was all we wanted but when we got home we found the pizza was missing all the toppings except the gyro meat. Thats definitely not what we wanted and when i made the original order i even asked what came on it and was told onions lettuce and tomato. i said great yes put it all on. I will say the pizza was very good, but its definitely not the pizza we ordered. hoping next time we can get it right! Hands down, the BEST pizza and bread-sticks in the North Huntingdon/Irwin area. They always have good combo deals, too. Better to order out rather than eat in cause it can get really hot due to the pizza ovens. read more

Good pizza but this is by far the most disorganized operation I have ever dealt with. Constantly the orders are incorrect, the delivery is very very slow. When taking an order they will normally put you on hold for 5-10 minutes. When it comes to pizza there are so many other choices.... I would suggest you try one other than this one. read more

The best buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had- hands down. Their other pizzas, wings, and wraps are also good. Prices reasonable. Biggest (and, really only) complaint - wait time. I've had food from this place on four separate occasions, and it has not let me down yet. Their hoagies are toasted crisp and delicious. The prices are pretty reasonable an the portion sizes are ample. It's one of the biggest menus I have ever seen for a takeout place and I will keep going back. NHT doesn't have a huge amount of restaurants, so this place should do fairly well if they keep delivering a quality product. In my opinion, a sign of a good establishment is when it is fully staffed. When you walk in the doors of this place, there are workers everywhere. They seem to work together as a team very well and are highly efficient. It is clearly evident in the quality of their food and service. Well done. read more

Why the bad reviews??? I came in for lunch today and grabbed a menu. Laid back atmosphere. Guy said we have some lunch specials if your interested. I ended up not going with the specials even tho they had some good deals. I got the perogi pizza. I couldn't resist not trying it. It was one of most interesting and favorite pizzas I ever had. We have gotten delivery before and the food is great. Unfortunately we will not be vining them our business anymore. We dined in this evening, and 20 mins after we ordered, something came up and we had to ask for our food to come in a to go box. By no means did we expect it to be rushed before the other 4 people that were with us, we just weren't able to stay and eat there. Not only did everyone food come out first, but our food came out 30 mins after everyone else's. They were all done eating and waiting for us to still get our to go order. I understand things happen. She said the kitchen screwed up. But it should have been made right, we were even charged $1.50 for a to-go cup of ranch. Went to pick them up, and they no longer accept coupons. $30 for one plain medium and one medium that was supposed to have green peppers and mushrooms, but had onions. Ive been living in the area 4 months now and have gone by this place a few time and always say I need to try their pizza. Today I did and it was awesome. The best pizza around the area in my opinion. I love their pizza! We order it almost every night after work, and pick up the pizza! We usually buy a sausage and onion pizza, and we have not been disappointed once with our order. The prices are reasonable for the sizes of the pizzas, and the timing it takes to cook the pizza is reasonable. We do not dine inside, but they have 2 booths and a couple of tables inside. I have been ordering from Mama Pepino's, Irwin for over 7 months. There are 2 BIG pizza places to order from. Neither are which Mama Pepino's!!!. Every time I've ordered, I was given a time they would arrive. The last 2 times I was given a 45 minute time line. After about 75 minutes I called asking where my order was. I was told both times the driver was on his way. The 1st yiythis happened, the driver told me that he was standing there when they told me he was on "his way". He said this happens all the time. The 2nd time (tonight) same story only this time the manager told me it was coming and was free. This time he hung up on me. I never asked or requested a "free" pizza. I think I was more than patient waiting both times for my order, only this time I was hung up on as if I was being unreasonable. This pizza was NOTHING like the pizza I fell in love with. The rudeness of the "manager" and the quality of this pizza was inexcusable. Never again!!! read more

I ordered a pizza and a steak sub and was told it would be 25 minutes. I got there after about 35 minutes and was told something happened and my pizza never got made. The cashier told me they did have another pizza made that they could put in the oven and have for me in a few minutes. I waited another 15 or so and they have me the pizza which of course was burnt. I mean what do u think is going to happen when u put an already cooked pizza back in the oven? I was offered nothing for my wasted time. I gave the pizza back and asked for my money back. I'm not sure what the bad reviews are all about I stopped in today for lunch and ordered a 9 inch Italian hoagie. The service was fast even being as busy as they were I only waited 10 minutes for my food and it was delicious. Just to be clear this is my first Yelp posting. Not sure who reads these but this establishment recently went above and beyond. This review is not directly attributable to the quality of their food (even though it is my Mom's favorite) but rather their human connection to their community. I live in Northern Virginia and I have not had the opportunity to see my mom in over a year. Our family is small. Only my mom and I. My dad and brother passed away several years ago. My mom and dad struggled in their early years. One of their favorite sayings at the time was "when we can afford pizza every night that is when we know we made it". Since I have not seen my mom I decided to order a pizza for her. I requested that the delivery person recite this saying upon delivery. My mom called me in tears when the pie was delivered. The delivery person had a post it note with the note and recited it when the delivery was made. During these very difficult times I would like to say Thank You to Mama Pepino's for their attention to personal experiences. Awesome!!! read more

Love the Pizza, BUT have had issues in the past with my order not being done anytime near the time they estimated. Once I showed when they said it would be ready...and they were just putting it in the oven. Again love the pizza so I continued to be a loyal customer, but this week brought in a coupon for $5 dollars off any order of $5 or more. The coupon contained no expiration date, but I was told that they were "not taking that coupon anymore..it was only for a limited time". So I guess whenever they decide...a day after the coupon was printed, a week after, a month after...etc they can just decide to not honor it. I felt it should have been honored and told just not to use any more going forward, but nope just told sorry. Well...Im sorry also. The pizza is marginal and the place is horribly managed. We just waited nearly 2 hrs for one pepperoni pizza. I called at 5:15 and was told an hour for pickup. My husband got there at 6:15 and no pizza. He sat there for 30 minutes and then they finally gave him someone else's pizza and paid full price. Sadly this isn't the first time this has happened. I called the manager who told me he was sorry but very busy. When I told him that this was unacceptable he hung up on me. That is the last straw. No more business from us. read more

When we called for a pizza, the person on the other end said it would be there in about an hour. Needles to say an hour and a half went by and still no pizza. I called the store to see where the pizza was, and they put me on hold for ten minutes. When they finally came on the line, they got an attitude with me when I asked to speak with a manager. They put me back on hold and when the manager finally got on the phone, he rather rudely said there is nothing he can do and hung up on me.
