Fantastic place for a fresh tasting lunch. Service is quick, attentive and absolutely in tune with their patrons. I love the combination of sandwiches, wraps, salads, pizza and soups that are offered. You can customize your order if you opt to have a deviation from their listed menu suggestions. Dining area is exceptionally clean, orderly, and relaxing. Each of my visits have made me question why it took me so long to try this place out. Staff is friendly and takes the time to make your order top-notch and enjoyable.

My husband and I have found ourselves getting dinner from here every week for the last weeks. It's a great option for lunch and dinner and offers variety to the other local restaurants and businesses located downtown Irwin. The dine-in area is both clean and modern, and they have a good selection of healthy food options to choose from. It's a bit pricey, but we're willing to pay it for healthy, fresh ingredients. Be sure to checkout this place when visiting Irwin!

We stopped here during shopping and browsing for last minute gifts in downtown Irwin. My sister and I have been wanting to visit but since they specialize in BYO salads, we were always overruled by our guys who aren't as excited for salad as we are! :) The bistro is small but very modern and ample seating, making use of every inch of space. They also have a spacious clean restroom for customers. In addition to the Coke fountain, there is also a refrigerator with bottled drinks in case you're on the go. They have a large menu on the wall in addition to the Specials board that displayed a few sandwiches (grilled cheese type sandwiches and tuna or chicken salad on a croissant), 2 soups available, and a special salad. We decided to sample a few different things so we got a 'It's a Burgh Thing' grilled chicken salad, an 8" Boss (Italian) hoagie, and a Simple 6cut cheese pizza. We ordered at the counter and then the food was brought out to us. Since we were splitting everything between the three of us, they cut the hoagie into 3 pieces, which was a very nice touch of customer service. The hoagie was delicious and had a good amount of meats, cheese, lettuce and tomato, and a delicious Italian dressing that tasted homemade to me. They also gave us tongs with our salad so we could dish it out. The salad was a lettuce mix with grilled chicken strips, shredded cheddar cheese, diced eggs, cut up French fries, tomatoes, and cucumbers, and they tossed it up with ranch dressing. It was evenly tossed up and a good amount of dressing, not too much! It was delicious and the quality of the ingredients was right on track. The salad appeared a little bit small initially but just as the woman said it was large, it just kept on giving! The three of us each had 2 servings of salad and there was still some left over at the end! The (thin crust) pizza was very delicious! The sauce was a robust tomato sauce and not too sweet. There was just the right amount of cheese on the pizza and it was nicely browned. It was crispy on the outer edge of the crust but the pizza itself was chewy goodness. We will definitely be back, not only for the excellent, affordable food, but for the stellar customer service!

My son and I wanted to go to lunch today and unfortunately a few places that we had planned on going were either take out only or they weren't open quite yet. I remember going to the specific location when it was an Italian restaurant, Ramano's I believe, probably 10 or 15 years ago. The establishment is much more updated, new LED menu on the wall, new floors, paint and looked very clean. They may have kept the old basic tables that they had there before. I ordered a build your own salad, and added protein which I believe was about 11 or $12. My son got a chicken wrap and a fountain soda and I think our bill came to around 25-27$. He said that he enjoyed the chicken wrap, and to be honest the salad was pretty basic. I guess you pay for the convenience of not having to make it for yourself at home. Granted, the portion was decent, very comparable to hello bistro, and everything was fresh, but I just thought it was overpriced for a salad. All in all, it's a cute little salad and sandwich spot for downtown Irwin.

I got the pasta Rosa, and it was seriously just pasta and sauce. Nothing else. Which would have been fine as a side but I was expecting it to be phenomenal in order for it to stand on its own as an entire dinner entree. My husband got the restaurants "favorite" - the pasta amato...he said it lacked flavor and the chicken wasn't seasoned at all. He did like the peas as an addition in the pasta though. Ugh and the tiramisu--gosh, I am so sick of restaurants thinking they're making tiramisu and they are not. Stop false advertising!!! It was a wetter vanilla cake with a hint of alcohol-- not worth it. Needless to say, We won't be coming back. I don't understand how this place has such high of a rating to be honest. It's like people in Westmoreland county have never had superb Italian food, meanwhile you could throw a rock and hit a pasta joint on any corner. I'm giving it a 2 because it was edible.

I used to come to Harrison City Pizza Pub to eat a lot growing up. Especially in high school. It…read moreused to be a nice little food/6 pack shop..a nice place to hang out and have a meal. Well now..it's probably been at least 15 years since I've been here..it has become an all-out dive bar. Like a really really divey dive bar. They took over the space that I believe was previously a hair salon, knocked down the wall, and built a huge bar. There are no longer tables there to sit at, just the bar. The area where the front counter used to be is still there and looks the same, except for the fact that it doesn't look like it's ever used..it appears to be abandoned. So why the five stars you ask? Well, they have a sandwich here that was my absolute favorite sandwich growing up. It's a very basic sandwich..it's just a chicken hoagie with cheese and mayonnaise..but for some reason the way they made it was absolutely delicious. I had been trying to recreate it for the 15 years since I moved away. And I mean, I tried to recreate it everywhere..from upscale sandwich places in big cities, to all the "fast food" sub places you could think of. Chicken, cheese, mayonnaise..so simple..yet not a single place that I tried to recreate it at ever came close. Couldn't even recreate it at home. Never thought I'd be able to enjoy it again. I was absolutely shocked that Harrison City Pizza Pub was still open..granted it's nowhere near what it used to be..but it was still open. I was so excited. Now keep in mind my girlfriend knows all about this sandwich..she's been with me when I've attempted to order it and/or recreate it. She was almost as psyched as I was that I was going to be able to show her where it came from and what made it so good. Well the second we walked into the new Harrison City Pizza Pub everybody's expectations hit the floor. My girlfriend couldn't believe this was the place I had always talked about so fondly that made that infamous sandwich..and I couldn't believe what the place had become. I was sure they didn't serve food anymore..and asked and surprisingly they did. I was positive that there was no way they still made that sandwich..but they did. But I knew for a fact there was absolutely no way they still made it the same... I ordered the sandwich..the bartender asked if it was for here or to go. My mom and girlfriend gave me a look like there was no way they were staying to eat there..so I said to go. It took about 15 minutes to cook. They were getting impatient but I kept assuring them it would be worth it if it were the same. The food finally was ready so I paid and we left. And guess what? The sandwich tasted EXACTLY the same as it did all those years ago. It sent my taste buds into this crazy nostalgic whirlpool. It was the sandwich that I have craved for so long. It was too good to be true. My girlfriend tasted it and said it was pretty good. I mean, there's no way she was going to understand how great this was to me, but I think she could at least see what I was saying about it and see how it did taste different then all the countless attempted recreations over the years. So yeah, if you're in the area, stop by and try this sandwich. There's no way you'll enjoy it as much as I do..but then again, you might.
