    Sauteed Sea Scallops Appetizer

I've been a frequent patron of the cozy original Woody's restaurant in McKeesport since I moved to the area. When the Woody's Piazza Ristorante at the Antonelli Event Center opened, I was excited to try it out. I've had the pleasure of attending some gorgeously planned weddings as a guest, but the restaurant and bar offers a more elevated menu than the original. There are some hints of the familiar menu, but with posh changes that distinctly provides the two restaurants with separate identities. Woody's Piazza brought in Executive Chef Kirk Kolish who brings with him bold flavors and experience. The bar offers live entertainment with a DJ and Karaoke. It's starting to offer more drink and appetizer specials as well as some very fun game nights. With the addition of the new and innovative Beverage and Entertainment Director, Joe Prizner, there's a real personal touch. His passion for his job certainly shines through. I recommend the Entree Salad with Honey Balsalmic dressing, Sauteed Sea Scallops, and Horseradish Crusted Beef Short Rib appetizers. For vegetarians, the dinner menu has an amazing Roasted Portabella Stack. You can't go wrong with their pizza and add your own toppings. Any of their fish dinners are delicious and cooked perfectly. Woody's signature stuffed banana peppers are just as yummy here. By the time you get to dessert, you'll be full but ready to order the Chocolate Truffle Cake or Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. The staff is friendly, servers and bartenders are attentive, and the overall dining experience has a laid back feel without the stuffiness of the high end restaurants. I'll definitely return often to see what new events are available!

Our table had two servers assigned to us, which was interesting. I'll be honest, I was skeptical of the prices and that I would leave hungry, but I was proven wrong! I was extremely full, and we went during happy hour so we got one of those deals! Split between 3 people, the bill was pretty reasonable! We each got a personalized wine flight. I got a rosé, Riesling, and Pinot Grigio - the rosé was my fav! Everything else we ordered: -Whipped Sheep's cheese w/ truffle honey + chips -Jamón & Manchego Croquetas (happy hour deal) -Patatas Bravas (happy hour deal) -Mussels + homemade sausage -Albondigas aka spiced meatballs (happy hour deal) -Bacon wrapped dates -Potato tortilla -Spiced beef empanadas -Espresso martini -Chocolate cake Overall I really enjoyed everything! Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd say my least favorite thing was the bacon-wrapped dates (I just don't eat dates very much). I was a little disappointed in the size of the empanadas, I'm used to eating bigger ones from other restaurants, but they were still very tasty! The food came out fast and was super fresh! Our main server Becca was funny, relatable, and really made this such a fun experience! She also treated us to the sangria chug (not sure if that's the official name but that's what I'm calling it lol). The dim lighting and dark decor makes a perfect ambiance for a girls night or date night!

I've only ever been for brunch and the offerings were delicious. We chose from an array of tapas that included olive oil pancakes, roasted carrots, gambas al ajillo, hummus, focaccia and more. I had a glass of Tierra Limpia (brut/sparkling) that was very good. The atmosphere is modern with European flair. Good service.

We were warmly greeted by Todd and Gina, the owners, who couldn't have been friendlier. Todd told us all about their wines, including the awards they've won, especially in California, and generously offered us the chance to try any of the wines at no cost. We started with the Gruner Veltliner, a bright, citrusy, and crisp wine. It was extremely dry compared to other Gruners we've had, which are usually more fruit-forward, but it was still quite enjoyable. Next, we tried the Riesling, which was also very good. My wife moved over to the semi-sweet side and tried the Traminette, which I eventually sampled after trying all the dry wines. We both really liked it. I then tried the Cabernet Franc, which was a medium-bodied wine with notes of raspberry, blueberry, and a light mocha oakiness--delicious! The Chambourcin was also quite good, without the typical bite or tartness. Lastly, the Flagship Red, a classic Bordeaux-style dry red, had a pleasant hint of pepper and was definitely a standout. Todd shared that they exclusively offer wines from Stony Run Vineyards in Breinigsville, PA, which has a wide selection. They're also planning to offer Old Fashioneds soon, as their winery includes a distillery, and they'll be featuring a "drink of the week" as well. What really sets this place apart, though, is Todd and Gina themselves. They're genuinely kind people who are dedicated to the community, and it was heartwarming to learn that they both served in the US Military--Todd in the Navy and Gina in the Air Force. We're already looking forward to our next visit when we're in the area again. Don't forget to thank them for their service when you stop by!

We went on Valentine's Day, and the evening started our wonderful, with cocktails at the bar and the lovely touch of the owner's grandson gifting a red rose to the ladies. But then the food came. It was a set menu priced $99 per person. All was going well, until one of our entrees arrived, and they sent out raw chicken. Not slightly questionable - clearly still raw. I wouldn't expect that at Denny's never mind a fine dining establishment. The server was apologetic and took the other plate back into the kitchen to keep it warm so that we could eat together. When the food came back out, my husband's crab cakes had gone dry. On my plate, they had simply removed the raw chicken - not finished cooking it or replacing it, but removed it so that there were only two small pieces of chicken, and a huge pile of gnocchi and a huge mess on the plate where they had not taken the time to clean it up. Which was obviously disappointing. When the bill came, my husband questioned whether something should have been taken off the check based on our experience. The owner came over and eventually took $100 off the bill, which was absolutely fine. But then she concluded with "are you satisfied now, because I would like your table back to give to someone else". I don't recall an owner ever being so rude to a couple who have just spent $400 in a restaurant. Customers spending that kind of money should never feel rushed or spoken to like that (we still had half a bottle of wine, which we might have finished there had our experience been different). All she did was encourage us to write this review and ensure that we will never go back.

We've eaten dinner at the bar twice and once in the restaurant and enjoyed it thoroughly...the staff is so friendly and helpful, especially the bartender Jennifer. The food was delicious -- I had a filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and my husband had a ribeye which has fantastic flavor but was a tad overcooked. The wine list is good, but I'd love to see more options. The restaurant is warm and inviting and has a great vibe. Parking on the street or in the lot across the street is super convenient. This is becoming one of our favorite spots.

The pizza was delicious and service was good. The women at the next table got pasta and that also looked delicious. There was no cell phone service for us and the WiFi was locked, so I couldn't check in there on Yelp or any other app. There were TV's on the walls showing the football games. Not all in the best places for viewing at the table we chose, but we didn't really care about any of the games on at the time. The parking lot had arrows about going only one way, but no other clear signage, so most cars seemed to not pay attention to the arrows. Not a big deal when it's pretty empty, but I'd think it could be a bit dangerous if crowded. We'll surely go back to try the pasta.

The Milanese de pollo was really good but not close to Argentinian style, no fries no fried eggs included. My issue is that they use the Argentinian style label as a marketing tool and they are not even close. The price was ridiculously high for the experience.
