Our waitress was super great and gave us some ideas on what to order since it was our first visit. Ended up getting the Good Burger and a side of their spaghetti with marinara. The burger fixins were similar to the Golden Arch namesake double burger but soooooo much more meat. It was so ridiculously huge with two patties of burger stacked an inch plus thick that I took one burger off to eat later. The burger with pickles and sauce were just right and plenty of diced tomatoes and lettuce offered some respite from the meat extravaganza. It was a good burger for sure. The marinara on the spaghetti is a little watery but absolutely delicious. I really liked the flavors. This is a nice local place with tons of PA beers on tap. We'll be back at dinner sometime to try those.

The food is a bit pricier than I normally pay for but well worth the prices because you get your money's worth and then some! I always like to order Country Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Sawmill Gravy with Buttered Corn and they had it on the menu and I absolutely loved it! By the way, Country Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Buttered Corn is one of my favorite what we used to refer to as "Poor Man's Meals" back in the day. It is almost impossible to find places that prepare this meal as perfectly as I felt this place did! Carlton Diner in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania is one of the only other places I know that makes this dish perfectly! I also ordered a bowl of Chili at Kodiax and I loved it as well, and I believe I ordered Provolone Cheese Sticks too, and they are awesome! Nevertheless, the Waitresses were on top of waiting on our tables and they were friendly the overall feel of the place is Nostalgic because their are Antiques all over their walls and it puts you in mind of being in a Hunter's Lounge because of the Taxidermy Animals surrounding you. So, if you like a Natural Surrounding with the feeling of being treated with the comforts of home and great service and a generous portion of home cooked meals served hot and steamy then this is the place for you! You will not be disappointed and if you walk away hungry it is your own fault. They will not cheat you on the portions! At Kodiax, they aim to fill you up!

If you're a pickle lover, this is an absolute must- pickles under the cheese and fried pickles on top... it's next-level good!! The Tavern's Mustard Chicken sandwich was also delicious, loaded with roasted red peppers, bacon, and lemon pepper aioli that really pulls it all together. And the onion rings? Cooked to perfection....crispy, not greasy, exactly how they should be! Service was friendly and fast, which made the whole experience even better. They had Penn Sarris Chocolate Peanut Butter beer on tap, and wow--seriously yum. Definitely grab it before it's gone! Bonus points for not charging that annoying 3% credit card fee. Once seated, the waitress handed us our menus and then about 15 minutes went by before she came back to take our orders. Once our orders were taken it took around 15-20 minutes for the food to come out. Once the food was dropped off, the waitress never came back again. We had to go over to the bar area to get our check. 2nd time. We went for their Saturday brunch. There was a musician there and the place was pretty busy. There were about 4 different wait staff the staffing issue wasn't the problem. The wait times from order the food. To getting the food and then to getting our checks. Our food was cold when we got it. The eggs were all cooked wrong and the hashbrowns here not cooked all the way. That visit from the time we were sat until the time we left was over 2 hours. So we did not ask for our food to be remade because it took so long for it to come our the first time. 3rd time, went to the bar area with a friend. Service there was fast. The fried zucchini was bland. But the wings were excellent. So went again today. A party of 5 for brunch. Same experience as the last time I went there for brunch. This time one member of our party returned their food and just asked for a refund. It saddens me very much that this place is a totally flop because it's a great location and set up.
