I shook it up and started eating before I realized this was some of the best takeout Korean food in the Burgh and snapped a quick picture! Ordered for pick up, it was ready in less than 20 minutes and absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to try more things from here! The staff was quick and kind, and it's such a cute spot but if you're in a rush it's a great option.

Nice little spot. We are a big fan of the poke bowl. Tasty with plenty of great toppings. The menu is diverse enough that's there's something for everyone (within the sushi / rice bowl domain) but at the same time it isn't that flexible. For example, I have asked if they could do big platters for a party and I was told no. That said, that is not why I docked a star. I dropped to 4-stars because I feel like it's a bit pricy for what you get. Lastly, note that Sushi-Go is a takeout spot. They do have one table but the plaza in Shaler where this is located hardly makes it a destination. Basically order ahead and pick it up. I wouldn't make this a dine-in stop.

I stoped by Sushi Go for lunch. I like how they have some heat at home Korean soups in their to go fridge. I ordered the sushi combo that had nigiri, sashimi, and California rolls. The California rolls were just so so. The nigiri salmon was good and the sashimi tuna was good. It was rough to eat the snapper sashimi and nigiri. I thoroughly did not enjoy it.

Decided to try this new place as a light lunch while I was I was painting my home. I looked up the website, viewed the menu and called to order. When I went and picked it up, it was ready to go, as I was picking it up I realized perhaps I should order another roll for later. The gentleman behind the counter graciously obliged was very nice and quick. The place looked very clean and orderly. Once home I begin to eat my lunch and it was delicious I can't wait to go back again. Its so awesome having a place so close that you can pop in and grab some sushi. I got the California roll and vegetable roll. They where fresh and tasted great and best of all a reasonable price can't beat it.

I stopped at this new sushi place impulsively after my nail appointment in the same shopping center. I walked in and was surprised at how cute and clean it was inside. The logo has a stop light and they are called "Sushi Go" so I wasn't expecting much for a takeout place. As I got closer to the door I noticed it also said Korean food to go. I was a little confused, but went in and was greeted right away! There were a few people waiting for their food, and another man went right in to the cooler and paid for a container of soup. I looked in the cooler and noticed these were all the korean food specialties that they offer. They were really unique dishes that I was not familiar with. I ordered a salmon avocado roll, a rainbow roll and a miso soup. My total was $20 and the owner made my sushi in about 5 minutes! He told me that they just opened 1 month ago. I was excited to get home and eat. The miso soup was solid, although it had pieces of dried tofu in it rather than squares of steamed tofu. It was really good. The salmon avocado roll was great! I saw in other reviews that the amount of fish in each roll was small, but this really was not the case. The rainbow roll was good, but not great. I didn't love the tuna or snapper, and it was a lot of rice. Next time I would probably get 2 of the salmon avocado rolls. The restaurant was super clean and the menu is printed big on the walls with photos of each roll. They are not on grubhub or ubereats yet because they are just too busy to keep up with the demand! I will stop here again after my next nail appointment. The quick and friendly service definitely makes me want to return.

Neat little quick to go sushi place. The sushi is good, the service is friendly and there is quite a lot of options to order from. I generally get it take out for lunch and have been very pleased with the quality. Right off the side of the road in Allison park so it's very easy and convenient to grab sushi if you're in the mood. Also the price for how much sushi you get is definitely fair if not quite inexpensive while still tasting good.

Quality sushi at a very inexpensive price. This place just recently opened and I thought I'd give it a try. Today, I ordered the crunchy shrimp roll and the eel roll. I was thinking about getting some tamago as well, but they were out of it. The price for 8 pieces of one of their eel or crunchy rolls is $5.95, which is an incredible price for sushi. The eel roll has marinated eel in a sweet sauce and cucumber. I thought it was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. It also came with 2 pouches of soy sauce. The crunchy roll was quite good. It has small puffs of wheat-like crisps on top of the sushi. Although crunchy usually means tempura, here the shrimp nor the roll itself are fried. I was a fan of the role for the price. But, keep in mind that the portion of fish inside each piece is relatively small. The food was made quickly, too (less than 5 minutes). All in all, I'd return to try some of the special rolls and appetizers like gyoza. The rolls aren't outstanding, but the price is excellent and makes this place worth a trip if you live nearby.

I've been generally impressed by the quality of the sushi. We ordered takeout this time, and everything was extremely well packaged and presented. In terms of the food, we focussed on fairly standard maki rolls: a spicy salmon roll and a spicy California roll. Both were very nicely done. We also tried the veg farm roll, and that was a nice vegetable forward option. Not life changing, but nicely done. We also opted for a vegetable poke bowl, and that was also good. Basically the same combination of vegetables as the veg farm roll, but in a bowl format. The bowl was good, but it was lacking some sort of sauce or glaze that might have pulled things together. It was easy enough to toss on some condiments of our own, but the bowl could have been better. Overall, I this is my favorite sushi destination in Squirrel Hill. It's very clear that the owners are invested in turning out a high quality experience, and that's exactly the type of business I like to support.

Their selection of appetizers were great, and the quality of each was stellar. We attempted to try quite a few of them, and still have many we want to try. In our group, the tofu with an amazing dashi broth, the crab puffs, "sexy jalepenos", tempura kani, and the gyoza were the standouts. As I stated, though...everything we had was awesome. We all ordered a different ramen, and then shared. They were all phenomenal. The steak teriyaki was also great. Sushi wise, we didn't get to try as many as we had hoped. We were too busy reordering the appetizers. We did try the Crazy Mango roll, and ended up reordering that because it was so good. My kids were with me, and they love all things Mango, and this was phenomenal. For dessert, we had a few orders (and reorders!) of the fried bananas. Overall, I cannot speak higher of our experience. It is very clean, well kept up on, and the service was phenomenal. Quality wise, you can tell how much effort they put into the place purely on their presentation. I had to remark many times about how utterly beautiful some of their dishes were. This was not like our other AYCE experiences where they just rush food out to you. They actually put effort into their craft here, and it is quite obvious. We will definitely be back, and look forward to trying new things that we didn't get to before!

My usual order is the chicken katsu bento box, which comes with a good portion of crunchy sliced chicken katsu, rice, two dumplings, a California roll, and miso soup. It feels like a solid, filling meal with enough variety to make it satisfying. The only downside with my most recent takeout order was the sauce placed in the middle of the container. I'm not sure exactly what it was, and after tasting it, it wasn't really for me. Because of the layout of the takeout container, some of it spilled into the rice and rolls. Next time, I'd probably ask for that sauce on the side in a separate container.

The restaurant is located right on Mt Washington, giving a good view of the city. The interior looks appropriate for a sushi restaurant, but due to the massive windows lacked the darker vibe of other upscale restaurants. I've been to hundreds of sushi spots and the interior was merely average. Otaru seems to struggle with its identity. It needs to either commit to being an upscale restaurant or relax and simply be a quality one. The wait staff were kind and prompt, but at times appeared they may be less experienced. We were brought hot (paper) towels and edamame. We ordered the fried tako balls as an app. I personally don't prefer tako and found it very dense and chewy and the overall flavors were too undeveloped. The hand rolls were well filled and were easy to eat due to being more of a taco configuration than a true hand roll. The nori was not too tough, lending to a pleasant experience. The nigiri and sashimi were also good. The nigiri were good, but not as elevated as another upscale sushi spot in the city. They were still very good, but not quite excellent. They either need a bit more development or to be relaxed and served as two per order and the price adjusted slightly upward. If you take one thing from this review, let it be this. The yellowtail jalepeno cups were astonishing. By far this was the most well executed dish I have ever eaten and the best sushi dish I've had. They appear to be wrapped in toasted sesame seed wrappers. If you've had Hapi mixed crackers they give the same great flavor of the "fried chicken" pieces but with yuzu vinaigrette and the umami of the fish. I will certainly be back solely because of how good they were.

He ate the pad see ew with chicken, and he said that it was "average" like other restaurants' pad see ews and that he liked it. I ate the special lobster-tail roll, which was a large size and contained a Maine lobster tail, avocado, asparagus, avocado, masago, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and tobiko roe. Part of it was fried. I really enjoyed the lobster meat and sauces. The total price for these two entrees was $45 plus tax and tip.
