    Chicken Katsudon

The dumplings were really good and the ramen was amazing. I wasn't a fan of the katsu chicken and the rice was pretty bland, but the service was good and everyone was friendly. I'd go back for the ramen and dumplings for sure.

I went and checked out sushi tomo and everything was so good. I got the cucumber roll and vegetable tempura roll with broccoli. The broccoli one was my fave. Also the egg roll is big and delicious. I could go for one right now!! Then I got the kung pao chicken and chicken katsu ramen. The kung pao was crispy and good, not too spicy. The ramen was also good I loved the chicken katsu in it! The staff was so nice and attentive. If you go on a Friday they have half off wine bottles!

Nice and friendly service. Went on a Friday around 5:30p and was seated quickly. You can sit at the sushi but we went to a traditional table. We ordered an egg roll and crab rangoons as well as appetizers (not pictured) but they were excellent. My spicy California roll was lovely and the amount of chicken on my plate of General Tso's was described by my wife as a "flock" with how much was on it. For the amount of food you get I think it's worth the price.

I've had Sushi Tomo in the past but visited recently for the first time in years. We went for lunch and they have great lunch specials! Really great portions and pricing. I love the ginger dressing on the salad but the lettuce was weirdly wet which made the dressing watery. The Philadelphia roll was a little different than what I've had before and unfortunately I didn't really care for it. Instead of a cold smoked salmon, it was lukewarm and if it was smoked, it didn't taste like it. My spicy tuna roll was good and my husband liked his California roll. The service was quick and friendly. I'd like to come back & try something else because they have such a large menu! Lots of weeknight specials too.

As someone with celiac disease, I'm always cautious when dining out--but Sushi Tomo makes it easy to relax and enjoy truly delicious, authentic Japanese food. They have a dedicated gluten-free menu, gluten-free soy sauce, and the staff is not only allergy-aware--they actually have staff members with celiac disease themselves, which speaks volumes about how seriously they take cross-contact and food safety. They were happy to customize my rolls, leaving off sauces and tempura to keep everything safe. The ingredients are fresh, simple, and high-quality. It's rare to find a sushi spot that combines safety with flavor, but Sushi Tomo nails it. Whether you're celiac, gluten-sensitive, or just love good sushi, this place is worth checking out. And exciting news--they're opening a new South Side location soon! Celiac note: I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2023 and have been on the hunt for safe and delicious gluten-free spots around Pittsburgh ever since. Everyone with celiac has different comfort levels when eating out, so I always recommend doing your own research and choosing what feels right for you.

HUGE MENU. So many options. Great drinks. However, bring a jacket if it's winter. It was insanely cold. My husband and I both got ramen. He got the birria ramen, I got the vegetarian ramen with shrimp tempura and crab rangoons on the side. He also got sushi (not pictured) and it was all delicious.

It's TOO good!! They have all the freshest seafood, and the best staff, so you can't get it anywhere else! We ordered the Midori Sour and Cherry Blossom Margarita to drink. To eat, we ordered the Pork Belly Bao Buns, Tuna Tartare, Geisha Roll (the lower roll pictured with the flakes), and the 412 Roll. Everything is hand-crafted to perfection. The atmosphere is fun, fresh, casual, and family approved! Some of my biggest take-aways were the quality of the products used in the dishes and how clean the restaurant is, as well as the practices of the staff. Five stars!

Huge menu and great food! They have cuisine from all across Asia, not just sushi. The gyoza is my favorite appreciate, but everything I have had there is delicious! I had a Tomo roll, which has eel and avocado, which was so tasty. The ramen is also solid, as are the various Japanese dishes I've tried. The servers are all kind and the place is buzzing with people in and out. I'm looking forward to exploring more of the extensive menu!

Had to stop again at my very favorite Japanese restaurant in the North Hills today. Always an enjoyable and delicious meal at Sushi Tomo. The servers are so kind and welcoming. Today, I had the Vegetable Ramen. It was outstanding!!! Superb flavor and chock full of veggies. Broth was delectable. Very filling and well worth your visit! I always leave happy!

I moved here from the west coast, and have been craving Birria. I came across Birria Ramen on the menu and decided to give this a chance. I was pleasantly surprised, and will definitely be ordering this again. I added pork belly, cilantro, and onion in my Birria Ramen. I have been telling all my friends that they have to try this! The spice was just right, and was very enjoyable.

I came here with my fiancée for dinner and the food was really good! They weren't busy, so we were sat right away. I am not a huge sushi fan, so I got the avocado roll and the spicy tofu salad. They were both tasty! My fiancée got the fatty salmon nigiri, salmon roll, and tuna roll. He really liked them as well! The food cam out quick, was reasonably priced, and the service was good. I really enjoy casual spots that still serve delicious food!!

It was good, good portion : price. My partner finished every last bite of chicken lo mein, so I think he was a fan. I just wish the spicy sushi had more of a spice seasoning on the fish and spicier mayo, it was a little bland. I quite enjoyed the ambiance, our server was super nice and the service was quick and friendly.

I felt very safe eating here with celiac disease! It's not easy finding gluten free Asian meals, but they have a gf menu with plenty of options- and even gf soy sauce! My favorite is the fried rice and the mochi for dessert, but I was happy with everything I've tried. looking forward to trying more dishes!

The wide selection of Asian dishes is unique and wonderful. We ordered the Miso Ramen, Crab Rangoon, and Seaweed Salad. The last time I was able to find Seaweed Salad was when I was in Jeju-si. Everything was yummy! I really enjoyed listening to the music selection they had playing, as it was like they knew what I was listening to in the car from my own playlist! It was nice being able to watch a show about a restaurant in Japan instead of the news or sports. The decor is tasteful and modern, and everything is clean and bright. This restaurant is located right on McKnight Road somewhat near the intersection with Siebert. The inside is fairly large with seating in an L-shaped configuration around the kitchen. We were seated near the back on one side where the lighting was styled like lanterns and there was also a fun mural on the wall in an almost manga style. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the Golden Katsu Curry Ramen while my wife went with the tonkotsu ramen and my kids split a happy cat noodles. My ramen was described as served with house-made curry broth simmered with tender potato and carrot chunks, wavy noodles and topped with a crispy cutlet, half marinated egg, sweet corn and scallions. My wife's was described as pork broth with thin noodles, pork belly chashu, nori, bamboo shoots, fish cake, kikurage mushroom, half marinated egg, sweet corn and scallions. My kids' meal was described as chicken nuggets, soy sauce-based plain noodles, assorted vegetables, half marinated egg and one piece of mochi ice cream. They first brought out the wrong item for my kids but once we mentioned it they quickly corrected it and brought out the right dish. My curry ended up being really good. The chicken cutlet was crispy, the noodles were bouncy and I enjoyed the sweetness from the corn. The star of the show for me though was the Japanese curry which had a rich flavor with warm and inviting spices. My wife loved her ramen as well and we were all impressed with the quality of the kids' meal, especially the chicken and the flavor of the noodles. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Everyone in my family enjoyed their food and we appreciated that it felt both fun and family friendly.

The takoyaki has a crunchy outside and a good flavor (4/5), and the okonomiyaki is pretty filling (4/5); these were the best two.
