Wowee is this place tasty. I haven't had anything here that I didn't enjoy. But my hands-down favorite is their spring rolls. I order them no matter what else I decide on. This is a hidden gem! My brother in law recommended this place to me.They are so clean! They had bottles of hand sanitizer on the tables before covid. This place is a hidden gem! I'm from Chicago and came to Hammond to visit my boyfriend over the weekend. We were looking for new restaurants around to try and I stumbled upon Asian kitchen on yelp and decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. I am completely in love! I've tried pho from many Vietnamese restaurants all over Chicago and this place is very high up on my list. The price is right, portion size is good and very delicious. The service was great. We ordered 2 bowls of pho and spring rolls and the bill came out to be around $21. One small thing, if I'm being very critical, is the amount of meat that comes with the pho is kind of small compared to other restaurants but nonetheless still worth every penny. Had the Pho Tai, Bo Vien. I dined in. The service was incredible. I felt like it was a family member since she cared so much. Since this was my first time here, she went over the condiments and how to add the veggies. The broth was amazing. I did add more hoisin sauce and Sriracha sauce because I like both. The broth was not spicy, but I love heat. There are a lot of flavors in the pho. The meatballs were incredible. Very meaty tasting,soft and some spices, maybe a ittle garlic? This place is sooo good!!! Normally i would have to travel far for good Vietnamese food, so it was great having one in close proximity. The waitress and staff were quick and attentive and the restaurant was clean and organized. I ordered the pho special, it had steak, tendon, meatballs, tripe and a bunch of other stuff in it. I also ordered crab ragoons and fried rice. I ate with two other people and we all had our food in 10 mins or less. The portion was huge and the prices were very affordable. My only complaint would be the lemonade i ordered. It was overly sweet and the sugar was settled in the bottom of the glass. You can tell they made it in the glass. Amazing pho and I can't wait to try the banh mi and other dishes. My dad, who is 89, asked me recently about where to get pho in the area. He'd had it years ago when he visited me in Seattle, and he loved it (though my mother did not). We got the last table during a busy lunch hour and I could see and smell the amazing bowls of pho at the table next to us. Dad got a beef pho and I had the veggie version, which was packed with broccoli, Bok choy, carrots and green and red peppers + tofu. We will definitely be back and I'll take photos next time. We both have leftovers for dinner and my dad said it was the best lunch he's had in months. read more

Finally found a great spot for pho in Northwest Indiana/Southeast burbs. This is a little gem I found while trying to get my fix of pho. Let me say, I'm a great fan of pho. Have been all over the city and burbs looking for the best pho. Well when I don't feel like driving too far, I can go right up the street and get some great pho! I really love this little spot. Although it is in a strip mall, it's not your typical strip mall spot. It's a cutsy, intimate spot that would be pretty cool for a casual date. They don't serve liquor but Indiana doesn't have any laws regarding BYOB. They said as long as it's in a brown paper bag, they don't have any problem with you bringing your own liquor. That's pretty awesome! The place itself is very clean and small. It's cozy with Vietnamese art and cities that cover the wall. I love the fact that they don't have a television in here, it's truly a talk to each other type of environment. I ordered the veggie pho and my friend had the seafood pho. Both were absolutely amazing! The thing with pho is the broth has to be on point for the soup to be good and this broth was kickin'! I'm so glad I have this great spot near me. So happy to have a Vietnamese restaurant south of Chicago! My sister and I stopped here for a light and healthy dinner. We ordered two banh mi sandwiches ( one chicken and one beef) and two orders of pho with flank and brisket. The prices are affordable and portion sizes are more than enough. You get at least two servings of pho out of one order. The service was quick and efficient. We waited no more than 10 minutes for our food. Everything was truly delicious. Cool spot to hit if your in the area. The pork fried rice is very good and has plenty of chunks of the pork. I typically go with one of the chefs special soups and have not been disappointed. I find that the spice level is right and that the portion sizes are quite sufficient for the price that you pay. Wait staff is cool but I did find the layout a bit wonky. If you need to wash your hands or go to the bathroom you need to go through the kitchen. Still the bathroom was clean and the place was maintained well. I'll be back for sure read more

Fast friendly service, the food is pretty good, but not always consistent with flavor. It's the best Asian food of any kind in Hammond that I've since I've lived here. My only complaint is that I ordered egg rolls and I got those little skinny crispy spring rolls. That is not the same thing and they should stop saying they have egg rolls. I come to this place as often as I can. This places makes incredible Vietnamese food as good as or better than places in Chicago. You can't go wrong with any of the Pho. The vegetarian Pho is incredible with lots of vegetables in a tasty broth. I also love the Vietnamese crepe which is delicious. Filled with bean sprouts, shrimp and served herbs and dipping sauce. We also always get the Green Papaya Salad which comes with shrimp and Pork. It is one of the best Papaya Salads around. They also make very good Vietnamese summer rolls. Best Vietnamese is the region and it definitely competes with the better Chicago Vietnamese restaurants. Service is always friendly and helpful if you don't know what to order. I wish this place was a little closer to us or we would go more often. read more

Amazing little family owned restaurant! Great portions, quality, and price point. If you're looking for an actual "appropriate" serving of pho, and don't mind a smaller selection of meat, you can order the kid's size bowl which is around $5. The meat selection ranges from flank steak, eye round, tripe, tendon, chicken, meatballs, and lengua for the normal sized bowls which are huge. The Bahn mi sandwiches are also a fair size and delicious, I just wish they had a bit more filling in them but that is just a personal preference. Other than that the other items on their menu such as their rice plates are big portions and taste great. I highly recommend the crab ragoon appetizer but good luck trying to get it later in the day because they tend to run out real fast! read more

This family owned gem in Hammond has been open 2 yrs but this was my first time. Fantastic food and service. I had several of their excellent rolls and the traditional Pho. Also added a take away noodle dish that was very nice. The staff was so friendly, the food was outstanding. This is a small operation that clearly cares about details. The menu was varied and the staff takes the time to aid novices to Asian cuisine. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and nicely decorated. This was my first time eating here. I ordered orange chicken with plain lo mein noodles and crab rangoon. It was delivered in a little over 30 minutes and was warm! The food had a good taste. However the chicken was over cooked. The chicken and the edges of the crab rangoon were a bit chewy (See pics). I think this place is seriously the best place in Northwest Indiana to get Asian food. They're Pho is damn good! The crab Rangoon they make is the best I've ever had!
