My husband and I have been going here for 25+ years. We've seen at 3 family owners. The service and food was consistent, affordable and great. The dine in was comfortable. The ambiance was like most Chinese restaurants. The guy who owns it now since right before the pandemic is the worst owner. He has zero personality. He isnt friendly at all. He permanently closed the dining room to not pay employees. He has changed the recipes for the menu. Huge difference in the taste AND portions. We bought szechurn beef and pork. Each had 4 small TINY pieces of meat. The dish is generally spicy. There was zero spice. When calling to share our complaint he said "ok" and hung up. He offered no apology or explanation. We will NEVER spend our money here again. We will discourage all of our friends and family from patronizing. Sad because after a 25+ years we refuse to come back. read more

It only took about 15 minutes for my pickup order, so that was convenient, as it took me about eight minutes to get there. The woman who served me was friendly and gave plates, which was another convenience, since this was a car meal for me. The Large Orange Chicken I order was great. It wasn't too chewy and it had a nice glazed sauce. The size of the Large order was reasonable. The Large Chicken Fried Rice was awesome! It had tasty vegetables in it that really enhanced the flavor. I also got a Vegetable Egg Roll. It had a nicely-done batter to it. I'm very picky about my Egg Rolls, so for me to give a compliment, you should definitely grab one with your order! They gave us a White Rice with our order. I was so shocked that maybe because I'm not Asian that I shouldn't be able to eat with chop stick with out PAYING $.25 but I can have a fork for free. Not as good as it used to be. First of all, when I walked in to pick up my to go order, I was hit with a very bad stench that reminded me of dead animals or a skunk. The food tasted just OK but the sauce was so salty and unpleasant that I actually rinsed my food through a colander to reduce it. First off let me put my bias out in the open: I have an unbridled affection for tiki culture and tiki bars. The kitschy retro decor, the faux grass huts, the strange glazed mugs often featuring shrunken heads, moai statues or girls with improbable breasts on surfboards, I love all of it. Lung Wah is a place that I love to go drinking. If you show up in a loud Hawaiian shirt and a fez, Steve behind the bar will meet you with a smile. Then happily serve up destruction in the form of a Scorpion Bowl for you, right after he lights it on fire. The drinks are the real center show here, and they are staple examples of the tiki breed. Foodwise this is the typical 'Asian' cuisine with a more south pacific "how many crabs and coconuts can we put into everything" vibe, and in all honestly if the food were better I'd give it five stars. But really after a few rum runners, the idea of 'deep fried and greasy' becomes distinctly appealing, as the savory fare pairs up well with the often sweet drinks. The only reason I am not giving the 5 stars is because I always order Singapore Noodles but with out the curry, however, it could be less dry. If I could give zero stars I would. I have never been treated so horribly in my life. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce- when I received the order I tasted it and asked if there was any meat other than seafood (because I thought I'd chewed on some) and the waitress said no. I ate a little more and turns out there was meat! I asked her again and showed her the meat I'd chewed up.. she then asked the owner (presumably) and the owner said no, that's when they investigated further and I could hear them saying there was meat.. pork at that! Without asking me they began preparing another dish. By this time we were almost done with our other items (egg rolls and crab Rangoon and rice). I told her I didn't want it because we were almost done, they said they could wrap it up and I said no because We are on our way to Iowa passing through and certainly didn't want to take such a dish to go! That's why we'd come in to dine in the first place. I sat back down waiting for my check and began to feel sick. I haven't eaten meat in YEARS- that's when I heard them arguing about the fact that they wanted to charge me for the dish. I went up and asked for my check, the owner screamed at me (although I had not raised my voice a bit) and told me I was going to have to take the dish with me and pay for it! I was appalled. I told her that I hadn't eaten the dish and that I certainly wasn't paying for something that had meat in it when the menu said nothing of the sort. She caused a scene in front of customers. She even began to ignore me and help others leaving me standing there wondering how to proceed. Finallly her husband came out and told the waitress not to charge me. The owners were so rude to me and embarrassed me in front of customers. I get very sick when I eat meat so this is why I stopped in the first place, I can't believe I was treated this way simply because I couldnt eat meat. This is not how you do business and they should be ashamed of themselves. The dish was under seafood and said NOTHING about pork; how was I suppose to know it had anything but seafood? This is bait and switch at its finest! They scared my children and stressed me out a great deal. Not to mention the stomach ache I have form eating meat. Moreover, in general the food was mediocre at best and the restaurant is dirty. Overall this place is disgusting and the management is horrible- I would not advise anyone to eat here. Absolutely the WORST food, not just Chinese food, I have ever had! The food was mushy and tasteless. I had to drench my food in sweet and sour, which was 10cents a package, for any flavor. I only ate it because I was driving on a 16 Hour Rd. trip from Colorado, but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who enjoys good Chinese food because this just is not it. The egg rolls are deliciously flavord and actually have a variety of vegetables, not just stuffed with cabbage & mystery meat. I was a walk-in carryout order. My order was $26; I waited about 20-25 minutes, but I was OK with the time. While waiting a listened to a phone apology for forgetting part of an order. I watched the order taker run out to a car because he was not sure if he gave out the correct order and he brought the order back into the restaurant while the customer waited outside. He took the order to the back and then re-tagged. Eventually my order came and my grandchildren wanted me to buy some chop sticks- so I did, .80 cents. Once I got home and prepared the to plate the meal, I realized my large shrimp egg foo young was missing. I called and he checked with the back and came back to the phone and said I could come back and pick up later and asked me for my name to receive the credit. I would first like to say, I have always enjoyed this restaurant my husband and I loved to come and dine-in. Today, the food was horrible. The soup lacked flavor, the egg rolls were beautifully wrapped, but tough. The shrimp fried rice was light in color and flavor,however the sweet and sour chicken was acceptable. More importantly the shrimp egg foo young was missing. After we finished the meal, I went back to the restaurant to receive my refund for the missing food. I was advised that their policy was not to refund food. But, I never received the food. They have no written policy and this was only stated to me when I went back to get my refund. I argued with him (which is out of my character), I explained he was stealing from me and he said take the food or a credit for something else. I left with nothing, because I no longer wanted the food ( I had finished my meal). Of, course I will never visit this restaurant again.
