It was nice to see my sushi being made fresh right in front of me, which added a level of confidence in the quality. That said, I did have a few concerns. The woman who took my order was visibly sick--her nose was running, and she kept wiping it with her hand before touching my car, which was definitely off-putting. Cleanliness and hygiene are so important, especially in food service. The sushi itself was good, though I wish the salmon had been seasoned a bit more to bring out its flavor. Also, the menu could really use descriptions of the sushi rolls, it was hard to tell what was in each one, which made ordering a bit confusing. Tried this place and ordered the appetizer for two sampler, and rainbow roll and I asked to customize it with spicy mayo and crunch. Ordered online quick and easy. The crab Rangoon filling was very good but the shell is a little too thick for me. Roll was excellent. The Korean pork and chicken in the sampler also very good - sauce was excellent. Since I've moved to Griffith 7 years ago we have tried all the local take out places. Koroke is by far my favorite! The Mongolian beef is the best I've ever had and I've had it from at least 15 Asian cuisine places. The food is fresh and quick unless you're getting maki's (they take a bit longer). At one point after having my youngest we were eating here at least once a week. I've tried quite a few of their specialty maki's and the Angry dragon is my favorite! We love to try different menu items and each one has been delicious! Definitely our go to take out place. Customer service is also top notch! Could be due to my frequent ordering but one time they forgot to package my fried rice in my pick up order. They called and reached out to me, just as I had gotten home and discovered it myself. They delivered it to me since it was their mistake. A business will never be perfect 100% of the time, but it's how they handle the mistakes that make a difference!! read more

Added in some Tamago pieces. We also did the Black Dragon Maki. And we ended with the Chicken Katsu Bento Box and Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Bento Box. The Singapore Noodles were light and tasty and definitely fresh. There were multiple pieces of pork and veggies in there. The Tamago was superb! Very fast and fresh. After passing by Koroke many times, we finally decided to try their food. We ordered the rainbow rolls, a few pieces of nigiri, and a few Chinese food dishes! The sushi tasted fresh and I'm glad there is a place nearby that we can go to all of the time. For the Chinese food, we ordered orange chicken, pork lo mein, fried rice, bourbon chicken, and Mongolian beef. The only complaint I have was that the bourbon chicken was a bit too salty for my taste, but everything else was delicious! My favorite is the Mongolian beef - the "mild spicy" still packs a little heat. I'd say it's one of the best Mongolian beef that I have had in year! They are definitely worth trying! read more

I've been looking for a place like Koroke for years! Not only is it very close to my house but the service is really great and the food is even better. We've gone back four times now this month and I haven't been disappointed once. Our favorites so far have been the Beauty & The Beast Maki (with the Snowman maki a close second- and I'm no sushi fan either!) and the beef lo mein. The pad Thai was also delicious but it did not beat the flavor or texture of the lo mein noodles. However, beware that both of these dishes lasted me THREE meals! They do NOT skimp on the portions! Both noodle dishes also came with ginger salad (so good!) and miso soup (good but just so-so). The variety this place offers is endless and my family has yet to be disappointed! Excited to try the rest of the items on the menu- we will be coming back again and again. UPDATE: We went back again and I have to say that the Mongolian beef is definitely my favorite item on the menu so far. I got the mild spicy and probably could have done medium spicy but the beef was so tender, with the perfect amount of sweetness to it. Definitely the best Mongolian beef I've ever had. Went here for the first time on 08/26/23, noone is in front, no menu anywhere. Woman comes from the back and I ask "where is the menu" she points to a small taped down piece of paper with a QR code and "says online only". Instead of scanning the QR I ask if they have vegetable rice and how much? She proceeds to hunt down the price on a screen (yes that's your job not mine's to find your menu and prices!). $6:38 with tax she says, I offer her my debit card to which she says "you must spend at least $10 to use a card" To which I replied "no thank you" and left. I stopped by this place because a few a few people had given it rave reviews. I was literally driving by, and was like nope! The place on the outside looks very dated. But I decided to give it a try anyway. We pulled up, walked in, looked around, took a few pictures, was approached by a guy who was very protective to say the least of the owner. He was just come to find out a regular. He questioned my motives! Which made me a little leery of wanting to stay. But then the owner gave me a menu, told me to take my time, and even explained some of the menu items. I was very impressed by the customer service. I was super impressed by the cleanliness of the inside. I was extremely appreciative of the fact that they all wore gloves and masks and did continuous hand washing regardless of who was watching. The inside of this facility was completely immaculate. Which goes to show you can never judge a book by its cover!!! Now to get down to the nitty-gritty of the food! I chose a few different options and to go into each of them in detail would take entirely too long but everything I tried was to perfection! I will have to say I was so so overwhelmed with the taste, quality, freshness, and the visual appeal of the food! I have been to so many upscale places that cannot even compare to the simple dishes at this restaurant! Not to mention the complex ones! I swear this is totally the best find of the year for me! With many of my normal restaurants closed, we decided to give Koroke a chance and I'm so glad we did. Everything was excellent! And the sushi was some of the freshest I've had in the area! We had the hot & sour soup which they let you pick the level of heat, so it's perfect. We tried the Beauty & the Beat roll and I was blown away. It had a little spice and tons of flavor. So good! We also ordered two boxes, the chicken kow & the beef with broccoli. It came with an egg roll and a salad, which I loved. Both were great.
