The service was very good, with the servers being really nice and helpful. The overall space of the restaurant was really nice and simple, with the design being very comfortable. The quality of the food was really great, the flavor just lacked some.

Had dinner at Kui and it definitely hit the spot for my Korean food craving. While it's known for Korean BBQ, we went with the à la carte menu instead, and it did not disappoint. The kimchi pancakes were flavorful, and the Soon Tofu Jjigae was rich and comforting--exactly what I was hoping for. The atmosphere is casual, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. Service was a bit slow, but the food was worth the wait. Definitely a place I'll be returning to!

Fried wings are the same as the honey wings sold at Jewel Osco Deli... very disappointing

This the only Korean restaurant here in NWI and I need everyone to come here so it will stay! The only other place around here is BIBIBOP, but that isn't even close to the same. (even though I enjoy it as well haha) Both times I've visited we had wonderful service! But both times also only had one other family dining the same time as us. I am worried about people not coming here since I will go crazy if I have to drive an hour or more to find Korean food!! The soup you get as an appetizer is sooo yummy and I could eat it all day. Reminds me of my grandma's but I have no clue how she made it so it is always great having it here :) Banchan was okay and I liked the mix of cucumbers/carrots in the corn. And some of the cucumber kimchi had the perfect bite of sweet/spicy and was delicious! My boyfriend got bulgogi and it came out extremely fast. He ate it so quickly that I didn't really get the chance to try it haha. It was savory and the gogi was on the softer side. I tried the kimchi jiggae as it gives so much nostalgia for me and I wanted to see how they made it. They definitely used a good amount of gochugaru, so if you are not used to/dislike spice in your throat (comparable to a pepper dry rub feel if you never had gochugaru), you might want to ask if you can get less in yours. I was expecting more MSG or dashida but it was didn't have much salt/flavor compared to the spice. It was a nice portion and I was just so happy to be able to eat it as I was missing Korean food a little extra today. :) I see that some older reviews have people that clearly do not understand the concept of KBBQ, so it sucks that the restaurant's review score tanked because of them. I understand that there are no other places to compare it to around here, so if you never really travel outside of NWI it might be a new concept for you. I think next time I would want to try the KBBQ here, but I always change my mind since I love my Korean entrees. Overall, I think that the staff are lovely and the place is always so clean.... And all it is missing are more customers!

So... I've learned something new. If you request more banchan they charge you. It doesn't matter if you request one dish refill or all, they charge you the same. This annoys me as much as Mexican places that charge for chips and salsa. AND I am noticing the automatic 18% gratuity at more than a few places. I'm learning not to hate it so much. But IF that's what you're gonna do, I should not be waiting around for service and then eventually having to ask for my server. Which happened the last two times I ate here. I understand this is the only local place to offer "Korean" food but they are getting too comfortable. And I would much rather take a trip into the city... get the banchan complimentary (as most places do) and suffer the service there. At lease they're not charging me an automatic 18%.

Really happy with everything here! The food, the service, and just the cleanliness of the space makes me want to come here more often. It is a little pricy, but you get a lot of food for what you order. Will continue coming back!

My boyfriend and I love this restaurant! The food is amazing, and the ambiance is beautiful and classy. I have to give credit to Eddie who's been our waiter on multiple occasions, he is the sweetest! Today he saw me sniffling, due to a cold, and he brought me a complementary tea along with one to go home! And he always helps us pack our food to go. The service is amazing! Highly recommend Kui Korean BBQ!

A friend and I went here for lunch. The ambience was nice- there was only us and one other couple. The food here was amazing, there's more than enough for one meal. We ended up eating about half the meal and took the other half home. I definitely would come back here again for the food

We have passed this place numerous times and figured it was time to try it out. I haven't been to a Korean BBQ in years so I was ready! There are several size tables from 4-8 so large parties can be accommodated. 4 people per cooking element. The options are endless from apps to main meal. You can cook it yourself or have them cook it. We opted to cook ourselves as that is what one should do here right?! They have specials and we opted for the $60 couples special. 1app, sides, 3 meats, s'mores. If it's your first time there, don't be shy and let them know. They are more than accommodating to show you the ropes. Spring rolls were light and delicious. The dipping sauce was just sweet enough. Our choices of meat were marinated Bulgogi, garlic butter chicken, and pork belly. My favs were the pork and bulgogi as they had the most flavor. The garlic didn't come through on the chicken which we were hoping for but still good. The sides were broccoli, pickled radish, fish cake, squash and others. White rice also came with the meal. Two sauces - one with a delayed heat and a sweeter one. We each had one s'more. When you are done with your meal they will remove the cooking surface so you can melt or burn! Your mellow as much as you like for your treat!

We ordered the Black Bullet party pack which comes with two pounds of brisket and two large sides. We went with fries and beans, and also added ribs, mac and cheese, and buns to the order. The brisket is still the star of the show. The spice rub on it is perfect, and it's so tender that it's unreal. The fries are exactly the kind of battered fries I like which was a pleasant surprise because I feel like not many places do them that way. The beans were okay... a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but they had huge chunks of pork in them that I definitely appreciated. We also added two slabs of ribs, and they fell right off the bone. I'm usually not a huge ribs person, but these were well cooked and flavorful. Mom loved them, and that's what really matters. We did have a few small issues with the order. We realized that our mac and cheese was unfortunately missing when we got home. They also ran out of pretzel buns midway through packing things up, so we ended up with a mix of pretzel and brioche buns instead. Honestly, we didn't mind that one too much because it gave us a chance to try both (I'd pick pretzel if I were you). When we picked up the order the place was absolutely packed, so it was hard to be upset over an honest mistake. They were clearly incredibly busy. I still don't really care for the sweeter sauce that tastes heavily like peppers to me, but their vinegar-based sauce (which I think is their original?) was much better than I remember. I'm glad to see this place is still around and still holds up after all this time. More importantly, the brisket is every bit as good as I remembered.

I must preface by saying I have wanted to do this event for a long, long time. But alas work has made it nearly impossible to do. Time becomes a commodity as you get older. It's do or die. The latter is inevitable. Not knowing how this festival works I studied Yelp reviews. I joined a DLD Facebook to find helpful tips. Both were extremely helpful. It is basically a musical festival, a giant bottle share and people dressed as warlocks all in one. There are three levels of admission: VIP Deluxe, GA and one with just for the concert. Depending on your budget each has it pros and cons. Me, my suggestion is to get the VIP Deluxe. It is crazy expensive and goes fast. However, I believe it is the best option. So I got the regular GA, which is $200 hundred bucks. You get 4 DLD variant stouts and admission to the concert. Maybe to the casual festival goer this will seem alot. Once you get here you will experience something unique. A week or two before the event happens they mail you wristbands. Do not put them on. There is a QR Code which you have to attach a credit card to. It is a cashless event. It's just like the Sail and Sign on a Cruise Ship in theory. As you buy drinks, merch or food you use the wristband to pay for them. A quick few pro-tips. Do not bring lawn chairs. Know that you are going to stand most of the time. Before I go on, let me rewind a bit. The parking situation is not dire but get there as early as you can. Local businesses offer parking for $20 bucks. We were able to find parking within walking distance to the festival. Here came the kicker for me, they had a guy doing a DLD tailgate party. It's like a normal tailgating party but with free to sample beers. He had things I have only heard of in tales of lore. My next pro-tip is to bring a small plastic sample glass. Once you arrive staff is there to put on your wristbands for you. And they check all ID'S. You are allowed to bring in some beer and an unopened bottle of water. Bring the water! I will say the logistics and mechanics of it run really smoothly. The staff are extremely super friendly and helpful. Having only seen 3 Floyd's in pictures it is more vast than I had imagined. Every nook and cranny was filled with something of interest. There were tap spaces everywhere. Vendors. Food trucks. In the center of it all was a Viking Court, with the largest bottle share I have ever seen. They had a thing called, "The Wheel of Death." For twenty-five bucks you spin a wheel similar to "Wheel of Fortune." You can win beer, merch or even your name etched onto a keg. I thought about doing it but the wait was already a couple of hours in. Most of your time here will be spent standing in line for something. For beer. Food. Restrooms. The merch lines were insane. Fortunately for you when this happen there are lots of people dying to share their brought in beer. I will say a great deal of the drinks I had were from beer sharers. For the most part festival goers were friendly. However, there is finite seating here. Which makes the VIP Deluxe option more enticing. After a while I wanted to sit somewhere. Since seating is sparce I saw groups monopolizing available benches. For example a bench that could fit ten people was instead filled with 3 harboring stuff. You would eye a bench and people would place a hat, a bag to prevent you from sitting with them. I get it. My biggest critique is that they need to let festival goers bring in folding chairs. For example I saw people in various stages of drunkenness: stumbling or even passed out. Letting people bring in folding chairs would allow them to cool down. It would also create a more laid back vibe. It certainly has the space to do so. Quickly before I write more volumes the musical entertainment is extreme metal. The dance floor is filled with moshers and headbangers. If you are expecting bossa nova jazz you will be disappointed. By and large I did enjoy this event. Will I recommend it to someone? Absolutely. Will I do it again? Probably not. It's a young person's world now. The Dark Lord Day is a very, very unique experience. And I believe we should fill our lives with them. Was that a dude dressed as a wizard at the festival or was it in fact Gandalf? After a few stouts you won't know the difference.
