This place is located on the West side of Broadway, NW of the I-65 and US-30 junction. There is a sitting area inside to wait for your food but it is takeout. No dine in. The workers there are very understanding and patient with tourists. We had a lot of questions and wanted some substitutions and they were very accommodating. They had a burnt ends special (see photo) for $7.99 which was ridiculously good. The chicken and brisket were very good and tender as well. The sauce is very tasty. This place is close to my job - when I'm jonesin for rib tips I've gone here. I'm not particularly fond of the thin slices that are served for the rib tips - I prefer the traditional cut of my tips. Stopped in to pickup dinner upon the recommendation of a family member. Note that this place is carry out only and is a family owned small business. I recommend ordering ahead so you don't have to wait for them to put your order together. I ordered the baby back ribs with coleslaw and potato salad (each entree includes choice of 2 sides from either coleslaw, potato salad, and fries). Also order a 4-piece of the smoked wings (which came with another two sides). Note that the sides that come with the entrees are single-servicing (in 4-ounce cups). Finally, I had to try their baked beans, so I ordered a large side (8 ounce). The meats come un-sauced, which is how it should be when it comes to bbq. Each entree came with a 4 ounce side of their bbq sauce. The baby back ribs were absolutely wonderful; full of smoke flavor and tender! They also offer spare ribs, but only as full-slabs (I did not try those yet). The smoked wings were equally fantastic. The smoke flavor was outstanding and the wings were decent size. The sides are also top-notch. This place has some real good old home recipes! The potato salad is lightly sweet and tangy, just how I like it! Delicious notes of deviled egg in their somewhere. The coleslaw is perfect. Sweet, tangy, and crunchy. For me, the real star of the show was the baked beans. Best I can describe is that they taste like sloppy joes with baked beans. This is my first time trying this place. I had a rib tip meal, this is my go to bbq meal. I love rib tips. The flavor at this place was good however the meat was dried out. I believe this is because the meat was cut very thinly. I have never had rib tips served this way, usually rib tips come in chunks so as not to dry out the meat. While these where not my favorite they were tasty. I would come back to try this place again. read more

We were looking for BBQ to take back to our hotel and were blessed to have maybe the best BBQ in the area. To be honest it's the only one I've tried but the first thing I said was it would be worth driving just to eat the fantastic brisket and rib tips. Each were so good that I danced with each bite. We were advised by the owner to only dip in their sauce which is amazing because he wants folx to enjoy the taste of the meat and we fully understand after our first nibbles. The meat was so succulent and flavorful. Do take some dips though because that bbq sauce is so good that I drank what was left when we were done. The turkey tips!!! I received a recommendation to this place and the first picture that I saw on Yelp was that of the turkey tips. I decided to give them a try and I was pleased with the portion size of a small order. At first taste I wasn't too impressed because the sauce seem to be a little spicy, though it was mild sauce. But once I let them sit and get to room temperature, they really ended up having a good taste. My husband really likes them and we decided that Smokin Glaze is our new barbecue restaurant .
