BC Osaka is one of my favorite buffet restaurants! They have a huge selection of food, including fresh sushi, hibachi, seafood, and plenty of hot dishes. Everything was fresh and constantly refilled. The hibachi grill was delicious, and the sushi was surprisingly good for a buffet. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent. BC Osaka uses peanut oil in some of their dishes. If you are allergic like I am, do not come here. I can't speak to the taste, as when I have a reaction, I can't taste anything anymore. The waitress and front desk people were kind when we came in, no complaints about the service. The dining area was spacious and there were lots of food options. How this place does not average 4.5 stars is beyond me. I have never been to a buffet other so much variety, and all of it quality. I couldn't decide what to take seconds of--sushi, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, crab rangoons--all of it quality. The food in the trays was refilled quickly (here around noon) and the bussers were fast and attentive. People are complaining about the price? $14.95 for quality AYCE?? Get outta here. The food was great. We haven't been since before Covid. We decided to go there for after a date. Service was very friendly HOWEVER when I decided to view my surroundings a little more; I noticed that they needed to dust. The light was right over our food and it instantly turned me off. Then when the waitress came over to ask me what I wanted to drink, I noticed that the drink menus was really sticky. That's when we decided we aren't eating anymore. Got the Senior price so had to give them a 4. On a road trip and wanted something quick. The buffet has typical ' Americanized' Chinese dishes, diverse sushi roll selection and a decent build your own grill. Was seated immediately and the tea was at my table by the time i came back with my soup - ended up trying miso, hot and sour and egg drop. Went with veggie centric main dishes. Would have like to have tried the grill but gotta get back on the road. Bottom line, this is a good place to go if you want you are hungry. Also, go somewhere else if you don't like using plastic utensils and plates, neither bothers me as i know they are clean. Final point - the restroom was very clean and had soap. Hard to put a 5 star review on something like this but I am. For the 6 years I have lived here I have always stated that I wanted to try this place. The competition is stiff in the sushi world, especially if you have every been to a sushi station restaurant you'll know what I mean. The only 2 things uncomfortable were the hostess sitting us and my full stomach upon departure. I was a hurting camper I ate so much and didn't even try everything on the buffet table. Very first time at this restaurant. I had read reviews on the place a few weeks back and finally decided to drop in after church. Much to my surprise- it was worth trying out! The place is huge for starters! Per person it ran a little under $15. But, it included drinks (pepsi) products. As you will see from my pictures, there is a large variety of food here. Cold salads, sushi, a grill to make your own combo of sea food/meat noodle dish, hot items, steamed items, assorted meats, rices, noodles, fruits, desserts! Yes, a buffet usually has all thee items. But this place was huge, clean, items were fresh, the displays were appealing to the eye-and I actually considered another visit, just off of what I saw ALONE!!!! The place was loaded with people, but the food on the buffet stayed plentiful. You saw workers cleaning up after people, and as things got low, it didnt stay that way for long. They were attentive to the food on the buffet. Nothing to me looked dried over, gross or something I wouldn't touch unless I just dodnt eat that type of food. The servers didnt speak very clear English, seemed a bit impatient, but besides that, my time and money for my family and myself was well spent. I would suggest this place to others. Not bad, not great. We were visiting from out of town and drove past. It looked like a big place and it was busy so I figured it should be good. The food was ok quality. While the building is huge, the selection of foods is minimal. We have much better buffets in my hometown. The sushi selection was ok but, the selection of hot dishes was quite limited. The hibachi stir-fry was hard. One shocking thing that I'd never seen at a buffet is that they have a $50 waste fee. If you waste food or if you take their little styrofoam cup of ice cream they say that they will charge you a $50 fee !!!!????? Another odd thing is that you are given disposable silverware that breaks when you try to use it and styrofoam plates. I can't imagine how much styrofoam trash this place is generating. Overall, the food wasn't bad but there was nothing amazing about it. Just kinda boring. Dinner was $20 for me and $13 for my child. With tip, I spent $40 for me and 1 child to eat. Oh my, what happened to this place? This used to be my go to Chinese buffet bc their prices were reasonable and the food was decent. After covid, it all changed. I get it, prices are up everywhere so I'm not gonna dwell on how it used to be $11 for lunch and now it's $15. But the food. Yikes! What is one good thing about this place post covid? The hand sanitizer stations. That's good. They put them by the entrance before people start getting food. The restaurant changed everything to paper plates and utensils. Except if you want the hibachi, those are regular plates. And I think they forgot how to wash dishes because many were not clean. Many of the plates were greasy and had some stains on it. Yuck. Had some pot stickers, tasted like soap. Beef was tough and bland. Honey chicken or general TSO chicken (whatever I ate bc they looked the same) was all breading and too sweet Soup was bland and watery. Vermicelli was hard. Sushi was okay. Nothing exciting about it. Dessert section is pathetic. Food just was bleh. Just don't have high hopes for this place. It's a buffet. They upped their prices and downgraded their food by a lot. read more

First time here and I was very pleased. Cleaner and fresher than most Chinese restaurants I've been in. The buffet is huge with so much to choose from. I like everything, except the pot stickers needed some work (they are my favorite, but could be fuller and less burnt here). Other than that, the food was awesome. Both American and Chinese offered here. Lots of workers restocking the buffet, cleaning up tables, etc. Price was higher than other places, but the quality was so good it was worth it. read more

I've been here a couple times in probably the last five years. Obviously a lot can change in that time, but I'm going to write from my experiences at the time regardless. I understand this is kind of how buffets work, but everything was stale, dry, and just old tasting, as if it had been sitting out the entire day. Obviously the food is sitting out and it's not going to be as fresh as a plate made specifically for you, but foods should be replaced probably every hour or two, if not more often. Nothing really had bad flavor, but nothing tasted amazing either. I think the orange chicken was probably my favorite, and I'm sure I tried a good variety of food, but again, it just was not fresh. The selection of foods they have is probably the best thing I can say about them. Larger buffet than any I've seen before. But even so, I don't have any intention of coming back. read more

I love this place and frequent every time I get a chance, and in the mood for a variety. They have such a variety of food. Everything is always so fresh. It's a little pricey around dinner time but it's worth the money. The only thing I don't like is the waitresses tend to rush you a little to eat and leave lol but I do understand they have to turn over those tables. read more

This place needs a good cleaning. The tea pots need to be cleaned on outside and has germs. They have beautiful displays but the glass needs some vinegar or ammonia cleaning. The condiments need to be cleaned and wiped off after every customer. I noticed they sweep and wipe off tables after every customer but dishes for drinks and cups need bleach water. They use paper plates for buffet and plastic forks. Nice ! The sushi buffet is still large in selection . They need a little help in cleaning. The light fixtures are dusty . read more

March 2021 - We have been looking for a small mom and pop Asian restaurant in NW Indiana but due to the pandemic none of them allowed in-person dining. This buffet is really good overall! My favorite was the "Buttered Shrimp" aka Shrimp Scampi. The broccoli and beef was outstanding. The spring rolls were fresh and well done. The mussels were good too. The sautéed mushrooms were also very good. The desserts were also very good, especially the Almond Cookies. As it is with all buffets, be selective. The soups were clearly not fresh. Presentation is everything. The condiments at our table were dirty. Salt and pepper shakers were dirty. The table was sticky. They need to use hot water to clean with but I don't think this neglect is intensional. This is just poor training. The buffet was mostly clean and the food was hot and mostly fresh. This is a huge place and it was crowded. We will definitely be back for more! read more

We go there every month, and the sushi is fantastic. With the buffet you can get all that you want, and I really enjoy that feature. Lots of other dishes to choose from, and the cook to order is my Wife's favorite. The staff are very friendly too. Try it once, and I guarantee you will be going back. read more
