The service has improved. The food is still the best around. This is definitely a hidden gem

I would def go back here. The food was good, the service was quick, the ambiance was ok, just a small family restaurant. We were able to get in and out. They have a large variety of Vietnamese dishes. The food was great, the meat was marinated in a flavorful sauce, but not too salty.

The other reviews are fairly accurate; the food receives praise, but the service has mixed reviews. During our visit, the service was average, but the food was impressive. I decided to try something new and ordered a banh mi for the first time, deviating from my usual pho order at Vietnamese restaurants. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their pho, which was fragrant and not oily, yet packed with deep flavor. Unfortunately, the dishes came out of order, and I nearly finished my banh mi before my egg rolls arrived. Although the egg rolls, priced at $8 for a small order of four, seemed a bit pricey, they were delicious. The restaurant was almost empty during lunch hour, which made for a quiet dining experience. Final thoughts, while the service could use improvement, the quality of the food at this Vietnamese restaurant makes it worth a visit. If you're willing to overlook the occasional service hiccup, you'll be rewarded with flavorful dishes that are sure to satisfy.

Fresh and flavorful spring rolls with tender shrimp. The restaurant is airy and the service is attentive.

Ribeye pho

I got the ribeye pho. Meat tasted slightly gamey to me. Beef was more tender but I am not sure it's worth the price of $17. I also think the pho here is more expensive than most places especially being in Indiana. Broth was just okay. I do think it lacks some seasoning. Although I will say the amount of noodles and meat proportion was good. Service was good. Veggie plate didn't have as much bean sprouts, cilantro, limes, basil, mint, and jalapeños for a party of 2.

With at least 40 minutes before closing, the restaurant closed its dinning room. Open for take out.

Pho was really good and authentic tasting. Appetizers were tasty. They package the take out perfectly. I highly recommend.

If you're having a bad day a happy day if you sick and need something hot you need to stop here and get you a big bowl of beef pho to tickles your fancy you will not be disappointed. Now there are other things on the menu too and I definitely will tell you to try to grill pork chops. Oh my goodness the grilled lemongrass pork chops to be exact. The rice is flavorful! I was just out done with this dish. I had the shrimp spring rolls the bai me sandwiches all were yummy. I keep coming back to Saigon consistency and the taste of the broth, Goodness, It is something about it. I still have not put my finger on it yet. I don't need to cause I keep coming back generous portions dining in or carrying out. The customer service is excellent.!!Sunny is a treat and a delight! He's always willing to give you suggestions if you're indecisive or just wanna try something new I would have never tried Taro smoothie it is delicious. If you are a regular, you are always acknowledge and if you're new to them, you will feel welcomed. Go check them out and yes, they are closed on Mondays because I made a mistake of going one day but came back on Tuesday and Thursday. They sometimes are not open at 11:30 so call remember people this is a family owned business they too-need a break! If you wanna try something authentic, you'll come back. Definitely one of my favorite places to go!

We went to blueberry hill next door which was very mid, and after we got out Saigon was open. We had plans today and wasted time waiting for it to open only for Saigon to open after we had the most mid meal at the place next door, sucks that we could've saved time by going to a much better place that was actually open during their advertised hours. A sign on the door or an update to their Facebook page that they haven't posted to since 2013 would've been nice. I'd give 0/5 stars if I could.

Ambiance: Restaurant is open and airy. Nice contemporary background music playing but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. It's a small family business which we like to support. Although overall fairly clean but could use another person to help clear the tables and sweep the floor. Again, not bad but it could be better. Service: We were greeted by one of the family members, Andrew(son) who gave us a good review of their food and what we might like. He got the water out to us right away. Food: It was amazing. We had the brisket pot sticker with a lemon flavored sauce. Excellent. I had the beef pho and chose the steak and brisket. The broth is flavored with the beef bones. There were a ton of rice noodles and herbs. It all tasted great. My wife's chicken pho was also really favorable. She loved the shredded chicken vs.. chunks of chicken. She loved the broth and can't wait to return.

Had a rough experience here today. Wanna hear about it? Buckle up!…read more So I've eaten at this place no less than 60 times over the last five years and most of the time, 80% even, it's incredible. Like one of the best meals you can have in the area. But the other 20%? Varying degrees of diabolical and today was the worst. Ordered my usual red curry described in detail on the menu as "Bell peppers, bamboo shoots, hot peppers, coconut milk, & fresh basil" and you guessed it, the curry itself is red. What I got today was pumpkin orange, overpoweringly sweet, and hodgepodge of vegetables that have no business being in a spicy dish (or are in the menu's description) carrots, baby corn, mushrooms, cabbage and not a dang bell pepper in sight. I tried, and I was calm ladies and gentlemen; I know the waiter didn't make the food and I never get heated with service industry workers period, their job is hard enough. But when I explained this to the waiter he tried telling me what coconut milk tastes like after I explained to him this was my go-to meal at his restaurant. I know this doesn't matter and young people aren't great listeners but this is an $80 for two meal with a dish I didn't order and side of gaslighting. Sad to say this is the straw that broke the camels back and I am going to miss those 8 awesome yearly meals. *The food ordered was correct on the receipt.

The food was so good. It was everything we were hoping for when we decided to come here today…read more This review has a vegan bent. Most of their entrees can be adapted to being vegan, besides some of the salads, per our server, who I suspect is an owner...? And this is something we really appreciate. A lot of things are labeled vegan on the menu but you can assume this applies to most items, "just let us know." Further, everyone seemed happy. The employees were all friendly. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time. This restaurant also appears to be welcoming to families. It was just me and my girlfriend, but two other tables had small children. Relatedly, they have a small store that has candy and such. This is going to sound weird but it's true. The water was so cold and refreshing. Beyond the water, the food was served quickly following our orders, less than 10 minutes for sure. Also, everything tasted like it was literally just taken off of a stove. We bought the Pineapple Cashew Fried Rice with fried tofu, the Massamon Curry with fried tofu, and the Guay Chai. We love fried tofu and being able to add that to both main dishes was like xmas. The Guay Chai seemed fresh, hot and soft, and the dipping sauce (not sure what it was) was sweet and had a thick consistency. The portions were substantial, the pricing was more than reasonable, and the food was amazing. We brought home enough food for dinner tonight, we went early evening, and maybe breakfast tomorrow? Note: The picture was taken after we had eaten for a bit and does not include the additional rice or the Guay Chai.

Nothing was good. The curry noodle was watery tasting. The egg plant was watery. The Pad Thai was super sweet and did not have a true Tamarind taste. The Drunken noodle lacked flavor and chicken. I'm not sure how the chef can think this is good! It was the worse Thai food I have ever tasted. The only thing half way decent was the fried appetizer platter which is difficult to mess up! I would avoid this place unless they get a new chef or revamp the recipes. Ambiance was lackluster. Half grocery store half restaurant and did not look clean. It seems the owners have given up. This place needs an overhaul!
