The sushi was so fresh and clean tasting. I had a mix of nigiri and rolls, and each bite was beautifully balanced. The rice had the perfect texture and wasn't overly packed. The staff was very polite and made sure everything was perfect.

Simple and tasty sushi. The salmon and tuna were both melt-in-your-mouth fresh. The rice was seasoned just right. It's not a fancy place, but the quality really shines. Will definitely make this one of my regular spots.

Had a wonderful dinner here. The sushi was fresh and well-prepared. The tempura was light and crispy. Staff were attentive. Prices were fair. Highly recommend.

This sashimi was some of the best I have ever had. The cuts were generous, and the fish had such a clean, natural sweetness. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Thanks to Yelp for another new find. Cute dine in area but I'm thinking the do a lot of take out. It didn't seem busy but it took quite some time to get ordered and get our food. The food was hot and delicious! Worth the wait. The waitress and what I think was a server or cool came out and apologized for the wait. That was nice! Will be back!

Thai Spring Rolls

Trendy little spot for some Thai food. They make your meals fresh after you order. Went with a girlfriend. The servers are kind and helpful and the food is super good. We got the Thai Spring Rolls for an appetizer. My friend ordered the Green Curry which came with rice and a miso soup since she got a lunch special. I got the Tofu Pad Thai which came with a salad since I also got the lunch special. I really appreciate that we, as the customers, are able to control the spice level. I do think they had a private parking lot although I did park in the street. There is plenty of street parking.

Great option on Mondays when a lot of other restaurants are closed. Food was good. I ordered Pho and egg rolls.

Literally the best food in all of Valpo and it's a family owned restaurant, what's not to love.

Best panang curry in a 60 mile radius. The crab Rangoon was perfect and the gentleman working was kind and attentive.

The owner is exceptional and the food also. Hometown favorite. The best Thai cuisine I've ever had.

I recently ordered a medium Good Mojo drink along with a party-size hummus and veggie platter and…read moreunfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. The hummus was extremely watery--more like a soup consistency than the thick, creamy hummus I expected. It made it difficult to enjoy with the vegetables or chips. Speaking of the platter, for something labeled "party size," there were surprisingly very few vegetables included. Instead, it came with a large amount of chips. I was also expecting multigrain chips based on the photo but they were just plain tortilla chips, which wasn't what I had in mind. The Good Mojo juice itself tasted good, although it was served warm rather than chilled. Overall, for the amount I spent, I had much higher hopes for the quality and portion balance of what I was getting. It just didn't feel like the value matched the price.

A whole lotta greens, straight to the dome. I got the Kale Kraze Salad (quinoa, almonds,…read morecranberries, avocado and kale marinated in olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper). The salad came with a lemon garlic dressing on the side, which I didn't pour over the salad, but instead dipped forkfuls lightly into the cup. The salad was huge! There was no way I could finish it, and I didn't. But it was satisfying and made my body feel oh-so good, the way that a body feels good when eating whole foods. Roots Market Cafe has a lot of nourishing options here. I had a hard time choosing what to get, because they have so many tasty-sounding options. Most (all?) of the menu is either vegetarian or vegan, and they offer salads, wraps, smoothies, juices, and a selection of baked goods. This place is also a little market! You can find fresh produce here -- I saw sweet potatoes, broccoli, zucchini, ginger root, bananas, pineapple, berries and other things. They also sell alternative milks, mushroom coffee, organic eggs, kimchi, vegan snacks, and things I have never seen, like vegan marshmallows and vegan marshmallow cream. Who knew that existed? I got my salad to go, but they have a dining room where you can sit and stay a while. The dining room is separate from the market and ordering counter, and is located in an entirely different room.

Nothing was good. The curry noodle was watery tasting. The egg plant was watery. The Pad Thai was super sweet and did not have a true Tamarind taste. The Drunken noodle lacked flavor and chicken. I'm not sure how the chef can think this is good! It was the worse Thai food I have ever tasted. The only thing half way decent was the fried appetizer platter which is difficult to mess up! I would avoid this place unless they get a new chef or revamp the recipes. Ambiance was lackluster. Half grocery store half restaurant and did not look clean. It seems the owners have given up. This place needs an overhaul!

I was a big fan of the appetizers like the edamame, potstickers, spring rolls, and the satay chicken. My only complaint was that the crab rangoon filling was overly creamy and lacked flavor. The curry was just the perfect amount of spicy. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was the perfect way to cap off a delicious meal. The waitress and owner were very sweet and welcoming. You can tell all of the food is made with lots of love.
