This restaurant also has a storefront with lots of Asian treats. I loved the food here; everything was very tasty. I was a big fan of the appetizers like the edamame, potstickers, spring rolls, and the satay chicken. My only complaint was that the crab rangoon filling was overly creamy and lacked flavor. The curry was just the perfect amount of spicy. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was the perfect way to cap off a delicious meal. The waitress and owner were very sweet and welcoming. I would like to start this review off by saying that the staff there are very polite and nice and efficient. My wife and my son really like this place however I didn't.. We started off our meal with two Thai iced coffees Let me say that that was the highlight of the meal. They were big delicious ice cold, and tasted great. I was very excited as this was my first time here. I ordered the crab Rangoon because quite honestly the last time I was in Joliet I had life-changing delicious crab Rangoon from a Thai place near Jefferson. I can't remember the name of the place it's in the strip mall, in any event I digress this just didn't taste good to me at all . It was full of cream cheese, and no other taste. I could tell from it at all. It was hot piping out in fact, but it just didn't taste good. It was a bit overdone as well. I didn't complain. I just offered it to my wife and she happily ate all of them. For the entrée, I had a thin rice dish with lots of vegetables and chicken pad something or another I can't remember and my wife had peanut noodles. She loves those mine. I asked specifically for well-done vegetables I don't like crunchy vegetables wow when I received it, they were crunchy vegetables, so I walked up to the counter and asked, please can you Really make these well-done vegetables and they did. Once that was fixed everything was good and I ate about half the portion size is very good. You get a lot for your money. I also did notice that their prices of the entrées were a bit more expensive that I'm used to which surprise me because of their location it's in Little strip mall and Northwest Indiana. I'm used to eating north side of Chicago and to find that their prices are higher than that really surprise me. I was stuffed after the meal and my wife ordered a mango sticky rice. Unfortunately they did not have mango because it was out of season so she had a sticky rice which again seemed incredibly Overpriced. I've had this before it many different Thai restaurants for half the cost so this was very surprising to me all in all excellent service I didn't like the appetizer I really like the coffee. The service was good. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. The food was terrible. Probably the worse Pad Thai I've ever tasted and I've eaten Pad Thai all over the country. Nothing was good. The curry noodle was watery tasting. The egg plant was watery. The Pad Thai was super sweet and did not have a true Tamarind taste. The Drunken noodle lacked flavor and chicken. I'm not sure how the chef can think this is good! It was the worse Thai food I have ever tasted. The only thing half way decent was the fried appetizer platter which is difficult to mess up! I would avoid this place unless they get a new chef or revamp the recipes. Ambiance was lackluster. Half grocery store half restaurant and did not look clean. It seems the owners have given up. Ok so I can't believe I had to come to Indiana from Jersey and finally find a Thai place that has the small bell peppers that comes with every meal like in Thailand. I been to tons of Thai places and they were alright but this place was exceptional. The Pad Thai was as original as you would find in Phuket. The mango sticky rice was also exceptional. The food was so good. It was everything we were hoping for when we decided to come here today. This review has a vegan bent. Most of their entrees can be adapted to being vegan, besides some of the salads, per our server, who I suspect is an owner...? And this is something we really appreciate. A lot of things are labeled vegan on the menu but you can assume this applies to most items, "just let us know." Further, everyone seemed happy. The employees were all friendly. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time. This restaurant also appears to be welcoming to families. It was just me and my girlfriend, but two other tables had small children. Relatedly, they have a small store that has candy and such. This is going to sound weird but it's true. The water was so cold and refreshing. Beyond the water, the food was served quickly following our orders, less than 10 minutes for sure. Also, everything tasted like it was literally just taken off of a stove. We bought the Pineapple Cashew Fried Rice with fried tofu, the Massamon Curry with fried tofu, and the Guay Chai. We love fried tofu and being able to add that to both main dishes was like xmas. The Guay Chai seemed fresh, hot and soft, and the dipping sauce (not sure what it was) was sweet and had a thick consistency. The portions were substantial, the pricing was more than reasonable, and the food was amazing. We brought home enough food for dinner tonight, we went early evening, and maybe breakfast tomorrow? Will never order again from them. The last year something has changed and the food has been getting worse. Tonight final straw. We ordered a shrimp pad thai and a chicken pad thai and spring rolls. My shrimp were not cooked and the pad thai had some chemical taste. My husband's chicken pad thai had 0 flavor like they forget to add the seasoning. We both noticed that the noodles looked just like a clear boiled noodle. Spring rolls were stale and not crispy. (We live 5 min from restaurant ) I finally called them (never did before) the host put the chef on and his reply 'whats the matter with your food' I told him and he told me to cook my shrimp if I didn't think they were done. So this happened about 4 years ago but I still cannot believe that it did, and I still think about it every so often. So I figured I'd let everyone know about it. Me and my family were dedicated diners at this establishment. We lived very close in a nearby neighborhood and always ate here, even before the major renovations they made. It was a cozy quiet place, food was really good, they'd play relaxing Jazz music and service was usually very nice. One night me and my mom decided to stop in and have dinner by ourselves. We ordered some pot stickers, soup, and 3 dinners I believe because we were going to kind of share and take the rest home. First, the waitress, a small young blonde woman was remarkably upset that we had ordered so much food. Are you sure you can eat all of this? She asked rudely. I told her we were going to probably end up taking a lot of it home and eating it for lunch the next day, so no big deal. She goes in the back and me and my mom look at each other like what was that about? Maybe it was the fact that me and my mom are not on the bigger side and she thought we didn't know how to order or something so we let it slide. The chef himself comes out, ( I think he's the main chef/owner, the guy with really big arms, or at least, he had them then), with our food and goes, do you guys realize how much you ordered? Jeez that's a lot of food!! Me and my mom looked at each other confused as the entire place was empty. I looked around the restaurant to kind of prove a point and then back at him who still had his gaze on me unbroken and I said yeah, so what? Well it's just a lot of food he said once more, I don't think I've ever seen anyone order so much, right? He says to the waitress. Then the waitress comes back over and starts laughing with him saying the same and agreeing. Mind you this restaurant is small so you could literally hear a pin drop from the kitchen. I told them both thanks for the concern but we're good. He walked away laughing shaking his head with her doing the same. I have no idea why they both shamed us like that, at that time business didn't look too good for them (this was right after covid), you'd think they'd be happy someone was buying anything from them. Other than that, the fact that we were regular customers for years and would usually bring the entire family for dinner and tip very well should've been grounds for excellent service without that kind of bullying. This experience really really upset us, because afterwards we've never been back for fear of getting shamed again. Hopefully things have changed there because that whole experience was just beyond RUDE. If someone apologizes for this rudeness that transpired, I might think of readjusting my review and coming back once more. read more

This was* our favorite take out place. We have ordered a few times a month for years and over the last year they have gone downhill significantly. The food is never consistent anymore, the amount, flavor, and cook always vary. Even the white rice served with curry is now hard and dry like it was in a warmer all day. The curry is often cold even though we live less than 5 minutes away and the noodle dishes are never the same as the last time we ordered. Whenever I come to visit my parents, we like to order from here to go, but recently I finally had the privilege to dine in. I'm a sucker for a good Panang curry, and here is no different. This is a small place hidden from US 30. I walked in on a Monday around 7:30 and had a hearty conversation with the owner. I asked for yellow curry chicken, but he said yellow is not typically eaten in Thailand; the red is more common and has better flavor. He recommended I try any of the red curry dishes. I ended up ordering Bankok chicken, with peanuts, baby corn, water crests, bamboo and it was quite tasty. The chicken with vegetables and noodles very bad noodles seem like a mouthful of GMO. You can ball it up and play a game of basketball with it. Chicken had an odd flavor to it and texture seem like chicken, I hope it wasn't cat . Spicy seafood soup I think the spices in it covered up the flavor of the sea food except for the oyster that was muddy dirt like . only had a single bite of each , and that's enough. I've tried calling them up 4 times already and it goes to a voice message saying try again later . so if anyone wants to try 5 star Thai restaurant, you can save yourself a trip and just throw your money into the trash can . Unfortunately, this restaurant did not live up to its name. I enjoyed my food but 5 stars would be too generous. I ordered my go-to Thai dish (the drunken noodles). My food had bean sprouts which was very different and added nice texture. I hadn't tried drunken noodles with bean sprouts before. We took a long road trip and since we were staying overnight here we decided to try this restaurant. Everything was delicious and the hosts were so nice!
