They both tasted delicious and the portions were so big that we had 2 days of food. At first I thought $40 was pricey, but we truly had dinner for 2 days. It could have feed 4 people. What a treat! I'm new to the area, but my Husband has been here and he knew I would cherish a local business and some yummy Chinese food! Ms. Mindy was the kindest soul! She was so great and it was nice to chat with her! It is a to go spot, call in order and pick up or walk in and takeout. I like my food fresh so we ordered and waited. The lobby is nice, Chinese decor which I respect a lot! We ordered chicken egg rolls(2), crab ragoon(6) piece, chicken broccoli, fried rice and shrimp lo mein. I got potstickers 6 pieces and they were huge and yummy, I also got shrimp lo mein- the shrimp could have been cooked a little more and it was few pieces of shrimp but the lo mein was pretty good. I got the small house special fried rice- it wasn't that good a 5/10 but it was packed the sour sauce helped out. The egg rolls filling were not the best also but it was fried well. The woman was nice and patient and it's only cash payment for $40 worth of food too ok last me all week. The shop was clean and welcoming they also sold ornaments and sauces but it was my first time trying the food so I wanted to see what I would like and lo mein is always my go to. read more

Mmmmm Basil Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Veggie Chop Suey. The Basil Chicken was to die-for...broccoli, mushrooms, amazing basil taste without being hot. Orange Chicken was a bit strange--just the chicken which is delicious, and a yummy orange sauce, but i expected maybe some green or red pepper in it, so it's a good thing I got the veggie chop suey which has a nice flavor. Kind of plain, but good veggies--your bamboo shoots, carrot, cabbage, pea pods...i'd have liked some water chestnuts, or maybe mushrooms but the pea pods are super fresh. All in all --huge containers of food (think large size) and only $11. 95 each (with veggie being 7.95) plus two huge containers of fresh perfectly cooked rice. I'll be back for certain. read more

The place has good food. been buying there for a long time. What I dislike about the place is the Husband and Wife. Both are obviously miserable and unhappy. They should Never display this or get snappy with the customers. Instead they should be grateful we go there for our meals. If there personal life is so bad, they need to learn to keep it at home. Just today I ordered for my shop, $22.50. I sat in front and asked them to let me know when it was ready. I'm 5 feet away from the door, instead of coming to the car and handing it to me, like McDonalds, the wife sets it next to the door. I go in and get it, say thanks and No response its like I love your $$ but won't show any respect or good manners. I really like Hong Kong kitchen. My personal favorite is the garlic chicken, it's real chicken and real garlic. The chicken fried rice is very good too. I enjoy Chinese food and this is one of my favorites in the area. Cons- CASH ONLY, not a big deal for me because I like the food and I make sure I go and get some first. Not bad, egg foo young wasnt what I expected but everything else was fair. I probably would've gave another star but it's a little false advertising going on. Ordered 2 Beef Lo Mein's.. 1 was to have vegetables... 1 was without. Might as well have made both without because the one with vegetables had scarce amounts. The Lo Mein was so dry I added 2 packets of soy sauce to it and it was still dry. Ate dinner and threw the rest in the garbage. Will NOT be back!! read more

I called in at 8:00 pm on a Sunday and he said they don't close for another 20 mins and he took my order for pick-up. I end up getting there and the lights are out and he closed already! Why in the the world would he even answer the phone or even take my order as well as ask for my name if he was just going to close. He could have told me he wasn't taking anymore orders or he was going to close instead of taking my order and making me drive all the way over there. Rude. Ordered two entrees, lady charged double for the white rice which on their menu claimed to have one per dish, but was in a good mood and another one was measly change so just went ahead and paid for it. Had a favorite of mine today at Hong Kong Kitchen. I was eating my food and, found a piece of Stainless steel pad fiber,thankfully I realized it wasn't food. I have noticed that they clean their grills with these as I have seen them before while placing my order. Although they are cash only and do not deliver, this place still should be ordered by you. The fried rice was really good. The portions were normal for any Chinese restaurant, but I do agree that there really wasn't much in terms of veggies in the dish. The egg rolls were really good, too. I first called and thought the owner was rude, but after calling again because I wanted Chinese food, he was actually really nice. When I got there he told me the reason he is sometimes rude is because many times people call to place an order and never show up, so he has to eat the cost so to speak. I definitely understand and would be bitter, too. People, you go for the food, not the management and this place definitely does the food right. read more
