    Pork Soup Dumplings

Tried the Youyu restaurant TO GO tonight... I ordered the Vietnamese Coffee, Pork Soup Dumplings & Kung Pao Chicken. Vietnamese Coffee was sweet, strong and very tasty. 10/10 Pork Soup Dumplings - you get 5 of them; sauce was more like vinegar; they were firm inside and a bit tasty, but nothing too great. 7/10 Kung Pao Chicken - I expected this to be spicy (there was a mark on the menu indicating that) but it was not. In fact, the chicken was "rubbery" which tells me it was frozen I'm sure and just thrown in a wok or pan for sautéing, the vegetables were red/green peppers and onions and a few chiles. There were no peanuts and it didn't really fill up the container, so it appears to be a smaller portion. It does come with a side of white rice. 6/10 Service - it was busy, there were a ton of TO GO orders, but you wait at the front counter for someone to acknowledge you and it took almost 15 minutes. Finally they almost told me there were "done with To Go orders for the night!" How is that possible? Where do all the TO GO orders come from? The inside seating area was pretty open too...it's not like they had a line to get in and sit at a table either. In total I spent $37.61 with tax and that also takes into account the 5% discount for showing your Player's Card. (I'm the red, lowest level, but still they offer a 5% discount for showing the card)

This noodle bar is located inside the Hard Rock Casino(Gary,Indiana). The casino itself is pretty packed often but the noodle bar you can get in and seated pretty quickly so I've been a few times. The servers have been very friendly each and every time I've been. The some of food portions are very large so be mindful on ordering multiple things. Most of the products come with nuts on top so also be mindful of that. I would say it's a great little date or business meeting spot because of the atmosphere. The decor is cute and inviting.

Great ambience, inside the casino and restaurant. Food is fresh, and has plenty of great options. Very fast service.

A great spot at the Hard Rock if you want some Asian food. I love pho, theirs is good but I don't care for the tripe. Friendly service too.

I refused to try it-I already have my favorites and there was no way that this place could compare, no way. 20 years later and in memory of my old co worker I thought I'd give it a try. UPDATE: I have a new favorite Chinese restaurant. I didn't know!! It's a pickup only now, but the inside of the restaurant is so nice. I missed out on that experience. The lady who took my order was awesome, she asked me how long before I got there and she timed it perfect. I made some friends in the little pick up area, who had been eating there for years. And when I got to work another co worker told me it was one of his family traditions to eat there when he was a kid. I didn't know!!! First, I ordered the Mongolian beef, my go to no matter where I go. That was my measure of whether I'd be back or not. I also ordered pan fried noodles-I prefer that with the Mongolian beef instead of rice. And I ordered a couple egg rolls. It was so good, flavorful, great portion, I enjoyed it. I made a mistake ordering egg rolls......... I ordered two and should've ordered 4. Not because they were small but because I didn't want to stop eating them. I will go back and re write my review if something changes but for now I encourage everyone to hit this locally owned restaurant that has been there for 32 years.
