Ordered a slice of cake and it was pretty good. It wasn't the best cake I have ever had but it wasn't bad either. The icing is a little too sweet.

I saw this store and have always had a soft spot for local bakeries. This bakery brings out the Babette best in Mexican rolls and sweet breads. You walk in, and are almost overwhelmed with the fragrant aromas of fresh bread. Grab a tray and tongs, and go to town! The clerk saw I did not speak much Spanish, but was ultra friendly and welcomed me to the store. The sweet crème taco was delightful, but the sweet cream turnover was unreal! Definitely impressed overall and will undeniably return. Worth a visit if you're on the west side of Indy ... skip the chain donuts - give Artisan a try, and thank me later!

I usually get a tres leches cake for my birthday from here and they are always so good and very reasonably priced. I decided to get a Valentine's Day dessert and the Angel's Kiss cake did not disappoint. Top to bottom is cheesecake, vanilla tres leches, flan with dulce de leche, chocolate tres leches. 10 out of 10.

I love cannolis so I brought a couple of these home

I was in Avon on Sunday morning and saw this little bakery in a strip center. As I entered the store there were signs on the door saying that masks were required and also telling you to wash your hands after you enter. There was a sink right by the door as I entered and I washed my hands before I started looking at bakery goods. The bakery had Latino specialties. I saw a couple people at the counter take trays with tongs. I really didn't see us sign that said I needed to do that but it makes sense since you pick up items out of cases. I found many items that I liked to take home, of course! I took home some jalapeno cheese bread to eat with our chili for dinner. This was some hot stuff it was loaded up with jalapeno and the hubby loved it. I also took home several different shortbread cookies, and a molasses brown sugar cookie that was only slightly sweet, some cream puffs, and cannolis. This was a nice little bakery if I am in the neighborhood again I will surely stop.

Excellent bakery. The desserts are fantastic!! I got a variety for a dinner, and everyone loved them! 10/10 on the food, however I was a little confused how to serve it since it's self serve and I didn't see the sign until later. Also the employees were distracted having a conversation and when I asked for a box I had to fold it myself, however they were polite and I do imagine that they probably had a long day. All in all the desserts were phenomenal however in my opinion the sign for instructions should be placed somewhere more visible. I definitely will be going here again! Best pastries around this area. Compliments to the baker!

I had a craving for something sweet and stopped in at about 7p, an hour before close. Boy, was I in for a surprise! This place is a hidden gem on the westside. There were plenty of pastries and sweets to choose from. I decided on the carrot cake. It was delicious and big enough for two days!

I have tried at least 4 other Mexican bakeries' tres leches cakes in Indy and this is by far the best in Indianapolis. So many flavors and all beautifully decorated. The vanilla tres leches was delicious, not soggy and had a mixed berry filling in the middle. Other baked goods are also very good. Highly recommend if you're needing a cake for an event. It was well worth the drive from Fishers!!

Pandemic Review 2020 Let's start with my YES Elitist only complaint it's hard to take pics of items behind glass cases and not capture yourself in the reflection wearing your latest covid hobo chic. i looked a mess They had signs posted saying your whole family couldn't come in to keep room makes sense. i don't remember being greeted but i wasn't ignored either! i browsed all the cases even though i went in looking for cake. there were donuts & pastries of all kinds. individual items you could choose from and full sized cakes for a party you could purchase. i had to focus on my mission as the person at the counter offered me a sheet to place my pastry on if i was grabbing from the case. they seemed to still be pretty stocked even late in the evening so kudos to them for that. prices were reasonable for fresh baked/prepared items. it was clean and clearly family or close owned. will be back hopefully one day as i keep trying to eat clean. please go visit them on my behalf as try a delicious hazelnut truffle

Love the concha sweet bread and have to go back to try more. We picked up the Valentine's strawberries which were very sweet and delicious.

Everyone Loved the cake .. it was a anniversary gift and made a wonderful gift ..i am glad we decided to go here .. We have had black forest cake from the rockville road location and it was the best black forest cake in all the location we have got from ( best in the city for me ). When i found out they had 2 new location close by we wanted to go see if we could get the black forest cake. We could not get the cake we wanted as it requires one day ahead ordering ( completely worth it ) ... we decided to go with the original tres leches .. we are glad we did .. everyone loved it .. not just the kids .. even the adults enjoyed every bite of the cake My husband even got to sample cookies while we waited for our freshly made cake !! Try it .. definitely wont regret it !!

Pastries everywhere! Cortadillo (?) and Yo-yo in lower left corner.

We will be back! We were very blown away by the subtle flavors and quality of the pastries. If pastries are your thing, you should be able to find something to fit your taste. I believe what we tried was as follows: A thousand layer cake with mixed fruit, an orange (?) flavored yo-yo, a cortadillo (fluffy bread with slightly toasty crust and a smooth buttery sugar spread), and a mini Mexican cheesecake. Flavors were on point, and definitely not sickly sweet (which I think is a big plus). They also offer cakes for special occasions. I think these would make very delicious, fun birthday cakes! Definitely on my list of places I would consider for a special event. The staff was great and gave helpful suggestions. Definitely check this place out!

My boyfriend and I came on Mother's day (unintentionally) and we waited about 10-15 minutes to sit at the bar. Getting our orders taken & our food served definitely took a bit of time, but we enjoyed seeing all the cooks in action and getting to smell all the amazing smells!! I got Grandpa's one pan skillet and my boyfriend got the sausage breakfast sandwich on croissant bread. All I gotta say is those chefs definitely knew what they were doing! The flavors were unique and intentional and I enjoyed every bite. The home fries (potatoes) were also so yummy and everything was cooked really well. There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. I wish we waited until we got seated to order drinks because the menu was much more extensive than what I saw in the cafe and I would have ordered a different drink had I seen all the other options. The staff here are also very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our little brunch and will be back with family next time!

Yes, these are quite a bit pricer that's for sure. People were buying one of everything in line. I was like wow! Some Items the combinations of flavors didn't appeal to me. I love tiramisu and pecan pie so I got them both. One suggestion I would have is to have utensils and napkins at the table for people to use. The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. It was great! The tiramisu one I wouldn't order again. The bottom flakey part was so bitter. I love coffee and expresso and tiramisu. But, the whole thing just wasn't what I thought it would taste like. Now I know. :-( Creamy, sweet, smooth, with a kick of coffee all come together to make a great tiramisu. This is what most people love about it. I don't know if they are planning on opening a store or not. The pop ups are doing well it seems. I will try other items whenever I can get to one of the pop ups.

What went from ordering 1 pastry each turned into 8 total.. and we regret nothing. The Tiramisu Danish was exactly as I had hoped for! The bitter taste of espresso paired with the sweet mascarpone cream filling reminded me of the holidays when I would watch my mom make tiramisu for our family. While a lot of people prefer a sweeter espresso, I thought this was perfect and very true to a traditional tiramisu taste The Pear Kouglof reminded me of a fresh yeast donut that's been tossed in sugar This was a very kid-friendly pastry in taste and while I wasn't too blown away by it, it did make me wonder if I would have preferred it with a stronger, more potent, fruit. The Cherry Basque Cheesecake -- this pastry was the house favorite. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy, but somehow still spongey.. cakey, but more like pudding. Mix that with the juiciest sour cherries and the crunch of a biscoff crust.. mind blown was an understatement. We're looking forward to what Beurre Sec has planned for their next pop-up

We just took our time and looked around and laughed at so many signs and odd little things that were placed over the years. On the way to the ladies room, you will find out that the gentleman that started the restaurant fought in one of the world wars, and you will see his worn out shoes, his uniforms, his letters of accommodation and Learn his story.
