This review is solely based on the fact that I can't eat fish!! Yes I know very odd but for me to give this as high of a rating that says a lot, so imagine the fish items!! lol. So this place offers a regular menu as well as an all you can eat. And although I can't eat fish I will always choose all you can eat lol. The price is around $30 per person, and I am including tax and tip. The place is BYOB so score! The all you can eat price includes regular drinks including teas, and a scoop of ice cream at the end. So you are given menus and a sheet of paper with a pen. The app side of the form gets ripped off and never returns so be aware of ordering enough lol but not wasting as well. Some of my fav apps are soft shell crab, shrimp teriyaki, TNT mussels, and my bf loves the beef negamaki and the tuna balls. If you have a question of how the portions are for the apps to know how many to get just ask they're very helpful. So now onto the sushi my favorites are Playboy, and the Viagra, yes kinky I know hahaha. As for ice cream my favorite is the green tea it is sweeter than you may think. But overall I always get my price worth and they always have me coming back. Be advised the parking can be bad but they do have a tiny valet. Made a reservation for 10pm...arrived 5 minutes early to see we didn't even have a table reserved. Got seated at 10:10. I know it may not seem like a big deal but its about principle. When you first walk in, the restaurant looks decent and clean. The waitress was nice enough to explain to us how the process worked. But it was pretty much downhill from there. The sushi was pretty terrible. Any of the rolls that contained salmon or tuna barely had any salmon or tuna on it. It was probably 95% rice and 5% anything else. My husband and I had the all you can eat dinner option. The rolls were delivered with rice on the inside (instead of fish as listed in description) as well as the outside. I love this place. I've been to several AYCE sushi places in the city and Arigato blows them out of the water. The quality of the sushi was amazing, far better than any other all you can eat sushi establishments and on par, at least, with many upscale sushi restaurant in the Hudson/Bergen county region. While some reviewers have stated that it took awhile to receive their rolls, but the service was extremely prompt and the sushi came out at lightspeed. My wife and I had 3 appetizers, 5 rolls and dessert. I could have stayed for several more hours, but we were finished in 30 minutes. I cannot be more effusive with my praise for this place and I cannot wait to come back. Edit: I do not write many reviews on Yelp. I reserve writing reviews for those places that truly deserve the praise, and this is one of the few that I've visited. read more

Came in with 2 other people. The waiter gave us 2 menus. I asked for another menu, so we can all look in the same time. He said "you don't need 3, most people are OK with 1". Went here for dinner with my friend tonight around 6:30. We were seated right away and given all you can eat menus to fill out. The waiter explained the guidelines for all you can eat very thoroughly and after filling them out, we were approached by a waitress to make sure we would finish everything we ordered as they charge for leftover food. After assuring her that we understood how it works, she told us that we ordered too much... Eventually she submitted our order and we received our sushi - no appetizers in sight. After finishing our dinner we asked the waiter where our appetizers were and, after checking the kitchen, he informed us that there is no appetizer order being prepared for us even though we ordered them on the form. We declined to re-order them and opted for another sushi roll which came out right away. Once we got the check the woman who took our payment to the register disappeared and left our credit card sitting around on the counter until another person brought it over. As for the food, it was good, a little heavy on the rice but overall good. Would definitely go back for takeout but based on the service we experienced, we will not be returning to eat in the restaurant. read more

We ate here on a Friday night, and made a reservation for a party of 8. Our waiter, Andrew was AWESOME. He was attentive, made sure all of our drinks were full and best of all our bellies. We tried the all u can eat situation on a thursday at 8pm. First of all, they ran out of miso soup..What Japanese anything runs out of miso soup??? So the quality was just ok, right in the middle for what i've experienced. Service staff are very nice, but mostly clue less. Still waiting for some of the items i ordered..lol...... Just don't go. No kidding aside, I wonder how and why this place was rated 4 stars. Came here on a Sunday night to have the all you can eat menu. Ordered miso soup (which tasted nothing more like hot water and seaweed and no tofu pieces either), salmon sashimi, salmon avocado rolls, and several of their specialty rolls. The rolls were cut in inconsistent sizes, all the rice used throughout the rolls were too sticky AND was not seasoned properly (either too much vinegar or too much sugar) On one of the rolls, rice was cold, one roll-the rice tasted as if it was a batch made from a day ago (just not fresh). After having a couple pieces, we just could not continue eating. Nicely explained the situation to the waitress, but the manager responded with such a nasty attitude and tried to make us pay for the food that was not touched! Was not apologetic nor did she even try to make the situation better. Will never be returning here because of the bad taste, poor quality, and terrible service. read more

I have to give this place by far hands down the worse service along with what they are trying to instigate customers about all you can eat sushi. They try to sucker you in and keep insisting that you purchase the all you can eat on Sunday off the menu. When you tell them you are not interested they still keep reinforcing you that you should order the all you can eat because there is a catch to it. The outcome is that if you order all you can eat sushi and if you leave any sushi or rolls behind that they will charge you for not finishing it. That is a real gimmick to their bullshit that they are advertising. It shows that the quality and quantity is very minimum as to what they put in your plate , like the Shrimp Tempura they served us with one shrimp in the plate that was soaked and saggy. I would warn everybody not to even go into this bullshit sushi joint that is trying make people spend a minimum of some sort to fill the seats in their place . This was a place I considered fairly good until my experience tonight 6/1/2017 Usually the wait staff is ok if not good. Tonight was the usual except for our waiter. Who you could immediately tell wasn't happy to be serving us. We went in got seated and decided to do AYCE The waiter immediately questioned our choices and quantities and then further more lied to us about not having any more TNT muscles. He then proceeded to rush us through our meals and hand us our check. While being rushed and stared at we noticed the TNT muscles being served to other people. At this moment I was both shocked and appalled that we had been told they were out of them. I immediately wanted to leave and never look back. For a place that is AYCE no one should be questioning what you order and how much as long as you eat what you order. This will be the last visit we make here. This is so far the best all you can eat made to order sushi restaurant I've been to. As soon as i called the place to make a reservation, i knew it was going to be great. The lady on the phone spoke so happily and sounded eager that i was making a reservation. Then when my partner and I arrived at the place, they greeted us so nicely. The girls working there were so smiley, i loved it. Besides the awesome customer service, the options on the all you can eat menu was amazing. all the sushi we ordered was so delicious i wanted to cry with happiness. I really enjoyed the scallions wrapped with beef as an appetizer. And the high mountain and super vegi specialty rolls were my favorites. There's also free valet parking after 5PM, you should just tip the guy. So parking was easy to find which led me to be stress free. All you can eat sushi was $25 a person. The ambiance is also a lot nicer than other sushi places I've been to. I will forever only be coming here to eat sushi. I'm so glad my co-worker recommended this place to me. read more

I went with a large group of friends for AYCE sushi. I go in and park my car in their lot, and give the keys to the parking attendant. Another car was backing out and almost hits the rear of my car because the attendant was telling him to keep moving forward--INTO MY BUMPER. No apologies from the attendant, just an aggressive wave to me to let him do his job. Not a good first impression. However, the rest of the dinner definitely had better service. The food was a 3.5/5. The sushi was filled with lots of rice, but it was still tasty. But for all you can eat sushi, they limited our dessert ice cream to one scoop...strange, and not so "all you can eat." read more
