One of my go to affordable sushi places; only con is the seating and inside. All their effort is in that food and I'm happy with just that too. Perfect for a nice night in with time to yourself and good wine. Sushi is my go to some me time dinner and this hits the spot but yes you've to pick up the order. No delivery I think.

A hidden gem! If you are looking for sushi, this is the place. The prices are PHENOMENAL compared to the usual Bergen County sushi places. You can get enough sushi to actually be full without spending a fortune!! They also have some pretty awesome lunch specials too. Their vegetable roll is pretty unique! I'm not sure what's in there, I think maybe some sort of radish along with cucumber, avocado, and I think a piece of onion. It gives it such a variety and it's nice and super crunchy! They have the best miso soup I've ever had and we got the vegetable udon. The broth was so good and the noodles were cooked to perfection! And the fried rice was really amazing too. Everything was really just so perfect. The staff is also so nice! My mom and I wanted sushi so so so bad but everywhere was closed. I called this place up and they were closing up but the owner said it's okay I'll send you the menu right now! He texted me the menu and he let us order whatever we wanted. They got our order done in about 30 minutes, which I think is pretty impressive for sushi! They were super pleasant when I came inside to pick it up and they really hooked me up with a bunch of spicy mayo (I'm obsessed with spicy mayo.) This will be my forever sushi place now!

Doesn't look like much when you walk past since it looks like half of a storefront, but the food is great considering there isn't a better option within a few blocks of this place. Due to covid, the prices have gone up, but that is the case with a lot of places. My favorites here are the miso soup, California rolls, and chicken teriyaki with the noodles. The miso soup is among the best I've ever had. All in all, good spot for a quick grab-n-go when you are craving sushi.

No you don't have to travel to NYC to get good sushi. This is a hidden gem. The spicy tuna is actually spicy and there's lots of crunch if you like that. Good service and fresh ingredients.

Price: I ordered from menus on Yelp and realized prices went up from $16-17 to $22! Food: Decent, they have other types of fish that you typically won't see in chirasi bowl around the area. Same goes for salad, I think I've seen soups come with but not both salad and soup. Fish were cut too small in my opinion but otherwise fresh. 2 stars for price mainly

Went for Weekday Lunch Special Food - 3/5. Miso soup was a bit too empty as it was nothing but broth. Salad had nice ginger dressing. The sushi and sashimi were not too great. They were very bland and cold with none of the fish having much flavor. The sashimi cuts were too thick for such small sizes which made it really hard to enjoy the textures. Service - 4/5. Service was a bit slow but went smooth otherwise. Value - 2/5. The price point is good at $13 but the food wasn't enjoyable. The cuts of the fish are so small that it feels like they wanted to technically fit the menu description of 9 slices but do it in the minimal amount of fish possible. It felt like a very skimpy tactic, which makes for a bad dining experience. Parking - Street (Metered)

I went with a friend of mine and it was ok. It's a small place. Street parking. We were the only ones there so we got everything very quickly. The waitress was really nice and on top of things (except my check) It was a bit pricey for soup, salad and 2 rolls (shrimp tempura & California) $32 My check: she charged me 11.97 and there was this whole mix up it took forever to fix with a side of headache. I don't think I'd return here again. But if you're in the area it's pretty good.

The restaurant is quite intimate with 2-3 chef's evenly distributed and ambiance is quite lively though not too loud. The staff are quite attentive and they have a nice drink menu with diverse sake options (junmai to junmai daiginjo) and give ample ginger that was solid. The chefs were nice and engaging with diners. The omakase leaned heavily on your typical fish enhanced by gourmet ingredients - if you're a fan then this is the place for you! The fish tasted fresh with highlights being the otoro, uni, sake, ikura, and kanpachi. Four of the courses had truffle, a few with caviar and then toro with caviar and gold leaf that really just made me roll my eyes. Personally these ingredients don't add much, if anything for me for sushi but do make for aesthetics, otherwise I prefer simplicity. Overall it's a satisfying meal and decent value for the price!

Some of the pieces have stayed the same since I started coming and some have changed. I have always appreciated the chefs' attention to detail. The staff especially are very warm and welcoming. (Especially NiNi =) They always remember who you are and your preferences. They try to get to know you and many restaurants don't do that anymore. This location is nice because it is intimate. There are no tables, so the chef cam focus on the sushi bar and on you. The omakase right now is $175 per person and you can't find a better value. Of course the fish is great, just look at the pictures! Also, they make the best green tea panna cotta, nowhere is better.

The fish was all delicious and all had some kind of unique topping, and some were also torched. Each piece was truly one bite and I preferred this to the bigger nigiri that eats more messily. Typically at sushi places I stick to salmon, tuna, and yellowtail, so I had some reservations about whether I would like everything, but really everything was tasty. Some of my favorites were the appetizer yuzu yellowtail with microgreens, and then amberjack (who knew!). The wagyu had a truffle topping and it was a great piece but I am not sure it was necessary and next time would probably just opt for the standard classic set. The waitress was very friendly and the chefs checked in throughout the meal and seemed to care that we were enjoying the nigiri. A few times we were asked if we wanted add on ons (drinks, and then sushi add ons later). I would have preferred if the menu was just maybe left without explicit solicitations to order more. But other than that not sure anything could have been better. The restaurant is simple, understated, and minimalist. Though right on a busy street the outside is so narrow and understated that it would be easy to walk by every day and miss this place. Would highly recommend for an extremely good and reasonably priced omakase experience.

The appetizer was monkfish liver with some salad - the monkfish liver was okay - def needed the sauce otherwise it would have been dry. I enjoyed the king salmon and otoro pieces. Overall I think the fish could have been fresher. Staff was very friendly and attentive!

I wasn't really a huge fan of the appetizer to be honest - the set of 3 all tasted pretty mediocre (the cod tasted a bit old, the yuzu did not pair with the fluke) and the snow crab tasted like store-bought crabmeat with mayo. So overall, was disappointed with these. As for the nigiri - most of them were pretty good. The fish was good quality and the one that really blew me away was the uni don - the uni and roe were EXTREMELY fresh, blew my mind. It was the best uni I had in a while. The wagyu handroll was also delicious and decadent. The last handroll - hamachi handroll - was a bit flavorless though. Dessert was good - a really light matcha pudding that was the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, I enjoyed my experience but not sure if I would come back.
