    Spider roll

Nice cozy sushi restaurant in the area with free parking on site. Brought a friend to try their sushi specifically their specialty roll since most reviews are based off their Benton boxes and sashimi omakase which looked fresh and clean. We tried the Titanic, love spice, tuna amazing, Naruto and spider roll and their octopus carpaccio. Their lunch came with a small salad and soup and at the end, you get either green tea, vanilla or red bean ice cream. My friends favorite was the Love Spice and Tuna Amazing while I enjoyed the Titanic and Tuna amazing. The spider roll felt a little disappointing due to the vastly small amount of crab. Octopus carpaccio was slightly too salty as it's doused in ponzu sauce but still a nice dish. Next time we will be back for the sashimi omakase. They have polite service and they get really busy for lunch hour.

I'm obsessed with the gindara here: flaky melt in your mouth miso cod with a bowl of warm white rice. Heaven on earth to sooth your belly. Comfort food. The staff is attentive and kind. They provided complimentary soup and rice with the gindara which is a nice gesture. They should make the gindara an entree! Free ice cream ended the meal on a sweet note. Definitely a must in Fort Lee!

We stumbled upon this hole in the wall when looking for dinner before our movie at the iPic. We are so happy we did! Upon entering, the small space is filled with happy patrons ordering an array of sushi platters. It seems to be BYOB, as many people had brought their own wine bottles upon sitting. As we sat, we were given hot green tea and our menus which were filled with pages of authentic dishes. We ordered the soft shell crab, per our waiter's request, a miso cod dinner box, deluxe sushi platter and negi toro handrolls. All were excellent and we look forward to coming back with reservations next time as we got lucky on our first try!

Amazing sushi! In Fort Lee. My go to whenever I crave good quality sushi, always fresh. Pricier than most but, the quality speaks for itself.

Great experience and highly recommended. Their Omakasan was better than expected, but that was not it. We also ordered yakitori and miso cod. Oh so goooood. The night ended with great ice cream and it's not just some ice cream that tasted like freezer burn. Get the red bean ice cream and you will not regret it. Highly recommend to rsvp at the bar. If you don't have a rsvp, you probably won't get a table for walking in, just FYI!

Food service and ambiance are all on point, along with price. It's basically a hole in the wall, small, cozy with a limited amount of seating. The rolls are fresh, and the ice cream tastes fantastic. I'm definitely coming back here again when I'm in the area.

This place is a neighborhood gem that I've been waiting to check out. With Huira temporarily closed, I think this is the highest quality Japanese food in town. - Food 5/5: The clear asari soup is quite delicious as is the boxed mackerel sushi and reasonably priced toro. Superb quality fish in the Chirashi Bowl. - Service 4/5: I ordered take out and though the sushi had already been prepped, there was a small hiccup with the credit card payment. I thought it could be smoother. - Cleanliness 4/5: I was surprised to see how many people were inside. Though they were distanced, The close proximity between everyone was a bit concerning. - Ambiance 3.5/5: The restaurant is a simple, unassuming place that's great for a casual meal.

We came here at lunch time on Saturday and waited 20 min for table. We ordered the lunch set. Everything was good except the Chirashi doesn't have uni. (The menu's picture show that it has uni). Food was delicious and our sushi lunch set comes with salad, soup and ice creme. Service was great too. We will definitely be back!

This one is older and the ambience is not quite as nice/private, but we had a great meal here. I love their sets! The sashimi is incredibly fresh. I'm usually not a huge fan of Korean oysters, but the ones we had here were the freshest I've ever had. Next time I come I will probably ask for the fresh fluke (?) sashimi to come out first before the assorted sashimi, because that was the absolute best and it was a shame we barely had room left to enjoy it. I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

I would come back to try dinner. I wanted to try Otter for awhile and popped in for lunch. At $34.95 AYCE, the ambiance is nice but I expected more. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The belt itself I felt was marked but the plates were being just loaded where there was space - so the labels were correct only part of the time. The rolls were decent but it got to a point where each just tasted very slightly different so it started getting repetitive. Apps were fine but nothing noteworthy enough to order again. The options on the belt were much more plentiful than the ones on the menu to order. Lunch you're limited to only nigiri (sashimi is dinner only) and the options are pretty basic at just octopus, salmon, tuna, saba, etc. The belt design could be better, very slow pace and the divider on each side makes it that it's easy for the tables on the other side to grab things. We actually had the best seat where the items come out first but our neighbors on the other side started reaching out to grab things. This was at lunch which as I mentioned, had limited options - I wonder how much more primal diners will be in the evening with better choices. At $34.95 pp - would not come back for lunch. Just way too few options and I can't order what's on the belt. Kura for example, even if you have a crappy seat where most of the belt is picked through.. I can order EVERYTHING a la carte. I'd be willing to check out dinner to see what that extra $10 gets me. For lunch though - either the price needs to decrease or the options need to increase. I wouldn't recommend lunch service in its current form. Service though, A+++.
