Service is friendly and they're quick. I normally come during the weekends for their lunch deal, it's just TOO good. I get the miyaki lunch set which comes with 4 pc nigiri, 6 pc sashimi, 1 roll, and miso soup or salad. The quality of the fish is superb. The pieces just melt in my mouth!! Seriously the best, I can't get over it. Just look at the pictures, they don't lie. You can't go wrong, I've come for their regular dinner menu and the other dishes I got were great too. Overall, I highly highly highly recommend Sushi Yasaka. This place is such a gem, I love it and I can't wait to go back.

The waitress was very friendly and the chefs checked in throughout the meal and seemed to care that we were enjoying the nigiri. A few times we were asked if we wanted add on ons (drinks, and then sushi add ons later). I would have preferred if the menu was just maybe left without explicit solicitations to order more. But other than that not sure anything could have been better. The restaurant is simple, understated, and minimalist. Though right on a busy street the outside is so narrow and understated that it would be easy to walk by every day and miss this place.
