Passed this establishment many times off of Market Street in Elmwood Park and today I stopped in for a lunch takeout. I ordered their White Meat Chicken Teriyaki Hibachi which came with steamed vegetables and opted for brown rice over white or fried. The portion was enough for 2 people and was still hot by the time I started eating. The grilled chicken, steamed vegetables and even the brown rice were tasty. However, I ordered the meal with teriyaki and the sauce that accompanied the meal didn't look or taste. I've ordered from different places and know, taste and see what the real dish looks like. This was almost a sweet and sour mixed with some brown sauce. With that in mind, I can't recommend this place for chicken teriyaki, but willing to try others.

Uber eats Eel roll was good but the eel pieces were tiny Spicy salmon and yellow tail were both yummy but they went heavy with the crunchies Avocado peanut roll had whole.pieces of peanuts Quality of ingredients was ok Portions and pricing fair Will return

I picked this spot to order for some clients. I ordered for a 12pm delivery and it was on-time. I ordered different items and the vegetable hibachi and vegetable dumplings for myself. The clients liked their food. I ate mine later and the dumplings were good. The vegetable hibachi was missing something for me. The taste wasn't to my liking. The overall experience was ok.

Tokyo Ramen. Packaged well for take out.

I was craving ramen so I came to yelp to find a local place. After reviewing the Tokyo Express menu, we decided to give this place a shot. My husband went to the restaurant to order and take out. He said that they have plastic up and use a speaker, but the speaker is always on. The cooks in the back were yelling at each other, so the woman trying to take his order couldn't hear and kept asking him to repeat himself. He said the service could have been better, but the food didn't take long. I got the Tokyo Ramen and my husband got a chicken & beef bento box. My ramen was delicious and cured my hangover. Great portion of pork and noodles. My husband didn't love their fried rice, but said his bento box was "ok". I'm definitely going to try other nearby places, but it's good to know this is a place to get a decent bowl of ramen.

Pretty good! First time coming here and really enjoyed it! No wait and clean establishment. The chicken was hot and tender. And the gyoza was yummy. My only issue was the teriyaki sauce needs more flavor !!

Be sure to get fried rice with rice bowl otherwise very bland and boring

Glad this opened up near my area. I got the sake don ( salmon sashimi over rice). The rice comes with seafood flake seasoning which is unique. The salmon is overall pretty fresh. Not the best but still pretty good. I love that the portion size is decent and the fish was nicely prepared. The salad dressing is amazing and comes with romaine lettuce rather than your typical iceberg lettuce. Place is clean and quiet. They have cash payment option where they take 15% off which is nice. Overall, a great place with a great price. Will be coming back. Update: this place is very inconsistent - one day I'm getting fresh large pieces, other days I'm getting half the portions that are dull in color. I'm taking a break from this place from now as I'm tired from gambling. See attached pictures for a comparison of good vs. bad

Decent takeout place for sushi and hibachi. Food is competent. Not bad, but not great either. I got a Hibachi chicken, house special stir-fry noodles, chicken wings, spicy salmon roll, and eel avocado roll. For the most part the food was good and got the job done. The one item I didn't like was the chicken wings.

Who would've thought this new take out joint would be SO good?? My husband received a flyer at work and suggested we should try it one day. The food was a Japanese restaurant take out but it did not disappoint. I ordered this meal with tofu, rice, and veggies and the the entire meal was delicious! I wasn't expecting it to be this good since it's a take our place, but their food quality is amazing! Unlike most take out places, the person on the phone was really nice. She said 'thank you' and didn't rush me to get through my order. Anyway, I'm a little obsessed with the sauce that came with the tofu. It's this thick brown sauce that was sweet and savory! The tofu was a little deep fried and cooked so well and you knew it was fresh. The menu here offers bento boxes, rice bowls (which if I remember correctly, I ordered), and sushi. I haven't had their sushi because the place is more of a take out place, but after my meal I'm definitely willing to try it The only downside is and the reason I gave it only four stars is because they don't deliver!! Not that I live far from this place at all, but having a delivery service would've been convenient for those rainy Netflix and chill days. I would order from this place again for sure!

Hawaiian Poke, Create your own

Poke bowls are always tasty and fresh. Good serving of fish. The crabmeat is not like others either as we always ask for extra. Their house sauce is amazing you can put it on anything. Try it!

One of the very few local places that has Poke Bowls, pretty tasty too. Also have good sushi. Reasonably priced. Def my new little sushi takeout and delivery spot. I'm a fan.

Their bubble tea is absolutely delicious and fairly priced. Their poke bowl has fresh ingredients. You get to customize your poke bowel on a paper, instead of having to pick right away in front of the counter. I was able to Google some of the ingredients to see what I would like in my bowel. I love their ramen! Now that we live a little father away, we still come here just for the ramen. I love the decor of the place. Brightly lit relaxed atmosphere. The staff are super friendly. They give you some suggestions if you ask for any input in what to order.

So when an opportunity came up to meet in the vicinity of this restaurant, I brought myself and two guests to experience the poke in person. It did not disappoint! Nestled among a smaller shops in a strip mall off of Market Street (off of North 5th Street), Waikiki Poke & Ramen is a place definitely worth stopping by. There's ample parking in the surrounding area of the strip mall so it's a small walk towards the restaurant. Once you enter you are greeted with an Instagram-able wall, with various colored posted that guests can write and post messages. It was fun reading through them and leaving some as well in the end. The restaurant is small, quaint, and cafeteria style, the counter where the Poké bowl ingredients are visible is well organized and clean. A nice selection of Japanese teas and other drinks are available to enjoy with the meal as well as bottled water. The price is on point for Poké bowl of their size and the Sashimi-ed raw fish, and the vegetables were all fresh and delicious! My guests enjoyed it well. I was so excited to visit the place then I couldn't help myself by letting them know how much I enjoy their food and how many times I've ordered online. I wasn't sure if they understood me because they didn't seem very interested? In any case I still enjoy the food, but I think it might be better to just order it online for me as it is quite a far distance for me to drive to enjoy it in person. Overall, we were able to enjoy our meal slowly as we had much catching up to do.. The shop was not particularly busy during its lunch hour so the food was ready quite quickly, which was impressive. I would rate this as 5.0 for the food but 4.5 for the customer experience aspect. It is a recommendation that they at least acknowledge or interact with people who expresses positively for enjoying their food. Because this is not an open food court situation and it is in a restaurant even after you paid for the food and sat down and eat it it would be nice for them to also interact in some capacity just felt a bit standoffish in my opinion.

10/10 -- My New Go-To Sushi Spot!…read more I've been on the hunt for a new go-to sushi place since moving to the area, and I've tried plenty of good spots nearby -- but this place absolutely blew me away. Hands down, the best sushi I've had in a long time (maybe ever!), and that's saying something. From the moment I called in my large order, the experience was seamless. The owner was incredibly kind, got everything 100% right, and made the process so easy. When I walked in, I was immediately struck by how clean and fresh everything smelled -- a great sign. They also offer boba (at a really fair price!) and have fun extras like seaweed snacks and unique chips -- super cute and convenient. But the star of the show is the food. Everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. I ordered for myself, my brother, and my mom after a long morning of errands, and we were all seriously impressed. I'm a huge miso soup fan -- I've tried it at nearly every spot in NJ -- and theirs is officially my favorite. Perfectly balanced and comforting. We had: - Sweet potato rolls, Shrimp California rolls - Spicy tuna, spicy crab, firecracker roll - Spicy yellowtail & regular yellowtail - Clear soup, miso soup, and udon soup Every single bite was fantastic. You could taste how fresh everything was -- we genuinely couldn't believe our luck in finding this gem. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive -- truly an A+ experience from start to finish. This will absolutely be a repeat visit for us. If you're in the area and looking for great sushi, you need to make this your next stop. Thank you again for such a perfect lunch -- we'll be back soon! -- Lauren

Seoul Galbi has been one of my favorite Korean BBQ restaurants. Remotely located(a single building…read moreof its own)in Paramus, NJ, it always allows for a moment of relaxation whenever I visit here. Not so busy during weekdays or lunch time, but you may need to wait for a while for Saturday or Sunday dinner. Marinated Galbi and Rib-eye Steak are always solid choice, paired with lots of side dishes including doenjang/kimchi jjige and steamed egg. The service (specifically the larger dining area on the left) is superb. My family routinely has been visiting once a month for the past couple of years. Recently (Q1 in 2024), some meats were not as good as before, but I hope it was just one or two bad timing/ either not-enough marinated meat or quality of beef. Will visit again soon and I hope I can write a 5-star review next time.

For a restaurant named after Korean BBQ, I'm slightly ashamed to admit I've never tried their…read moremeats. That said, this restaurant is one of few decent Korean spots outside of Fort Lee and Palisades Park. As such, it's become a return spot for our family members who live fairly local. As soon as you sit down, the default beverage offered is warm barley tea (which is much appreciated during those colder winter visits). The banchan, or side dishes, are few but a little more robust here than other Korean restaurants. During my last visit, we were given plates of standard kimchi, sprouts, and seasoned broccoli. I was also surprised to find pumpkin-egg salad, soy marinated lotus root, and soy-marinated ribeye pieces. The offerings change a little from visit to visit, but they're always decent to downright delicious. While I've not been wowed by anything from the menu, I've found most of the meals to be predictable. Hot stone bibimbap is my regular order, and I love the different proteins they offer here for mixed rice dishes. For those curious about the barbecue but unwilling to pay the high sticker price for a full entree, you can try the galbi, bulgogi, and spicy pork atop a bibimbap. During my last visit, I was delighted by the salmon hot stone bibimbap, which came with a great teriyaki marinade. My regular complaint with Seoul Galbi's bibimbap is that the hot stone has never gotten hot enough for my rice to char and crisp (which is arguably the best part of ordering it on a hot stone. Otherwise, why else would one pay the elevated prices?). When it comes to decor and ambiance, the restaurant is fairly no frills. As far as service goes, the waitresses have always been quick - quick to order, quick to serve, and quick to refill glasses (or, when asked, the side dishes). I also appreciate how slow they are to deliver the check, allowing conversations to linger. When my family and I came with a cake for a family member, the auntie serving our table not only came by with extra plates and silverware, she clapped and sang the 'Happy Birthday' song as boisterously as we.
