Ryan Soifer was very helpful! I came in with an iPhone X I had purchased just a few days prior that was working a bit slowly, so I wanted it replaced to make sure it was not a hardware problem. He was knowledgeable and helped us out really quickly. I got the new phone in no time. I liked that I wasn't asked too many questions and was able to get what I came for quickly. I set up a small business account and have bought a number of Apple products in the last 6 months. But I had a major problem with my iPhone upgrade plan (mostly because in an Apple email to upgrade I checked a 'wrong' box). I ended up with 2 IPhoneX's and I only wanted one. It was very confusing, working with Verizon to try and figure the whole thing out, but TORV CARLSEN and DAMON TAYLOR in the Corte Madera Apple Store worked on my issue until it was resolved! They were amazing in their support and determination to help me get my problem solved. I so appreciate it and encourage Apple customers in the Bay area to go to the Apple Corte Madera Store for purchasing and support. had an appiontment at 6:45 and have been waiting for half hour for service.a technician came, walked away and has been walking around talking to other employees. service is terrible here. there are about 10 employees that are standing around helping nobody. i am surprised that a huger corporation like apple doesn't train their employees technical problems. i mean come on, its a tech store. i would recommend not to come to this store to have your problem solved. there has also been a person opposite of me and has had 4 people ask the same question and hasn't solved her problem. the people here are not trained to deal with the job they applied to do. read more

Just left this place and was so disappointed. Usually when walking into an Apple Store they greet you and are very attentive. Nevertheless, at this location, most of the employees were talking amongst themselves and although I made eye contact with a few of them, never once did they ask if I needed assistance. When I approached a group of them to ask for assistance, I felt as if I was interrupting them. Overall, I felt as if I was bothering them by wanting to buy a product. Wow this is the worst Apple store I've ever been to. Christine with the long braids is probably the rudest Apple employee I've ever encountered. Did not know her product mix or how to advise me, and I could tell she was extremely frustrated and unhappy with her job. She did not have any answers about digital AV coming in and out it out of Apple products using HDMI. I was ready to buy 4 new phones. asked to speak to somebody who might know about it, and she told me there was no one available and refused to find someone else. She says she only has an Apple iPhone 8, so that's all she knows. Did not recognize my phones as the X, 7 plus, and (2) 6s couldn't even tell what I currently have. I really really think that this is not a good representation of what Apple customer service should be like. I was ready to spend thousands of dollars on new phones for my family and the requisite AV connection supplies necessary. Taking my business elsewhere... A complete waste of time and a disrespect for their customers time. I jumped through hoops today, first using the Apple Store app to get information on how to fix my battery on my iPhone. Was directed to an ATT store. They kindly told me if I needed my phone today to take it to the Apple Store. I made an appointment in the Cortemadera store to get it fixed. I was concerned about the time it would take for the repair so I called the store to ask so I could appropriately plan my Friday evening. I stressed that if I couldn't get my phone fixed during the time they stated that I would be happy to make an appointment for the following week. I was assured my phone could be fixed. Well it wasn't able to be fixed and I wasted 2 hours dealing with Apple today and they could care less. The arrogance of the Cortemadera staff and unwillingness to take responsibility for their staff giving out false information is completely unacceptable. Why is my time not valuable? Why is my time not worth compensating for? I left the store with nothing fixed and in a sour mood about Apple and the lack of customer service they displayed today. All this for a phone which is consistently operating at a subpar experience compared to its competitors. Very disappointing seeing that this is my local apple location and I will have to drive further to reach someone who is actually helpful. Worst customer service i have ever experienced. Immature staff regardless of age. Won't deviate from their rehearsed script. When you contradict them with facts they get butt hurt and walk away. Went to get my battery replaced. Before they took my phone diagnostic said my camera was fine. After they gave me my phone back said they could not fix due to water damage and now my camera does not work. So i went back today to address this issue i spoke with someone named Ryan, i believe, who claimed to be the manager. When i explained the situation and that they had broken my camera he said no they didn't because they won't touch a phone with water damage.I said how did you know there was water damage if you didn't touch my phone. Then the "manager" got flustered and said well we opened it up and saw damage. And i said so you could have damaged it then. Again poor Ryan couldn't handle the truth stood up and proclaimed "WE'RE DONE" and stormed off. Oh well if he's the manager I'm not at all surprised by so many bad reviews. I will be contacting corporate next and I think I'll try the android. Don't go here unless you find complete incompetence entertaining. read more

Normally one goes into an Apple store and can bank on feeling better and more energized when you walk out than when you came in. Not so here. This is an exceptionally poor store. I've never run across this with apple before. Prior to this store all my many apple experiences have been top notch, exemplary, the best customer service and most upbeat attitudes I've run across in retail. And this is in multiple major and minor cities over a decade. Not here. After multiple attempts to have this place win me over, I'm done. If I didn't have to give it at least one star I wouldn't. I have never been treated so badly in my life. So, the new iphone comes out and I go into the store 3 days before it actually comes out and reserve one with one of the sales associates. Very nice and helpful, by the way. Friday comes around, and I go into the store to get my new iphone, only to find out that not only was mine not reserved but that they didn't have any more left. When I asked the sale associate to check what had happened with my reservation, he simply told me that there was nothing that he could do, he couldn't even check by maybe my phone number or anything. I asked him if I at least could go into the store to see if the sales associate that had helped me with the reservation, was there, and was told that it was impossible. That I would have to wait in the long line and be scorted into the store by a sales associate. Frankly, the experience was so bad that I don't even think that I will buy the phone anymore. read more

Growing up with Macs, I have been a loyal customer for as long as I can remember, but after the customer service that I just received 2 days in a row, I'm seriously questioning whether or not I will be dealing with this company ever again. my iPhone 5 was slowly deteriorating and finally kicked the bucket. I chose to save my upgrade for the next iPhone coming in the next few months and paid the 269. to have the 5 simply replaced. I'm going to share the process from start to finish. I end up having to walk in to make an appointment, due to not having a working phone last minute, which I dread the always 2 plus hours I am in the store even with an appointment. I walk into the always chaotic store where I am directed from one person to another, shuffled around like sheep. After 10 minutes plus, just to get an appointment, I'm told it'll be roughly 45 minutes to an hour to see someone to see if it can be fixed, I then explain, showing the gentleman my phone, that the phone is most likely not fixable and I will gladly just pay the 270 to have it replaced. I'm told that I will have to just wait it out to even do that. I ask if I have time to grab a bite to eat and if they can take my friends number to inform me of when to return. "of course, you have 45 minutes at least, so go enjoy a dinner" I am explained. My friend and I sit down at a nice restaurant and within 10 minutes I am prompted to return. I return to the store, where I am again shuffled around from one person to another, told when I first walked in that I'll wait roughly 5 to 10 mins to be seen, then I wait an hour before I'm seen. I explain the situation that I'd like to simply pay for a new iPhone 5 to get it over with as fast as possible. Meanwhile, I have a friend sitting by themselves waiting for my return. I am finally brought out a phone, where the man tells me that the phone needs to be charged and I'll need to wait another 20 mins or so for it to charge, so it can be hooked up. The phone is paid for at this point. I wait and finally at about 20 mins, it turns on. Another 10 to 15 minutes pass by and someone finally comes over to hook it all up, so that I have a working phone. It fails, the new phone was broken. I am showing frustration at this point, where a man who called himself the store manager, named joe walks over to me and tells me that if I drop one more F bomb, he is going to kick me out with a broken phone and no refund and he will personally remove me. He was a very large man who was obviously trying to physically intimidate me, all puffed up and in my face. I explain that I am frustrated with the situation, but am in no way cussing, as I have more respect than that, especially when children are present. He starts arguing with me and begins to get red in the face and quite hostile. This is an apple store in Marin right? What is going on here? I seriously thought this large man who called himself a store manager was going to hit me. I then tell him that I do not appreciate his approach in trying to intimidate me. He simply tells me that he needed to reset the situation. Seriously, you think that's OK in a professional environment? They spend another 30 minutes looking for another phone that may work. They plug one in, because of course it needs to be charged again. We go through the process once again and there are multiple issues, but they get it to be able to make calls, distorted sounding calls, but they found that to be good enough. Fine, I take the phone just happy to be getting out of there. The phone powers down and I try to charge it over night. Nothing happens. The only thing that lights up is the apple on the screen. At this point, I don't have the patience to go back and deal with them, so I send my personal assistant. She later on brings me back the same phone, still not working. She was told it was bent and they will not return it and were extremely rude from what I'm told. I inspect the phone and cannot see a bend at all, never mind the fact that I never used it and was almost immediately plugged into a wall and never even went into my pocket. With all of these issues, I am left with a receipt that says I paid almost $300 for a brand new phone, not even 20 hours out of the store that does not work. I am disgusted and will be taking this complaint as far as I can. Truly ridiculous! The hotheaded store manager making physical threats ought to be fired for such behavior. I was sold faulty equipment that they refused to take back the next day. Just as a previous yelp review mentioned, I will be reporting this to corporate headquarters and the better business bureau. read more

Went to the store this evening with my wife and son. We walked in and we are clearly not the high end folks they might normally see but we had on clean clothes and had showered within the day. Maybe that was the problem we didn't look like some disheveled hipster with skinny jeans or we weren't wearing scrubs to make it look like we're doctors. Either way we had intended to spend nearly $1000 on iPads and accessories. As we stood there another couple walked in with their dog with the hipster look that we didn't have. Right away someone asked if they needed help. They were looking at the same things as us and honestly probably weren't going to buy tonight. We were... Pretty sad that store is losing our business. May not be a big deal to them but honestly you are better off ordering online or going to a real store. The manager who lets this attitude take place in their store should probably be fired. What would I know I'm not cool enough to buy from them I guess. I will be filling a complaint through Apple itself. read more

One morning my phone did not turn on. I tried everything websites said to and nothing worked. So I made an appointment at an Apple Store in Corte Madera. My phone was not even 2 and a half years old. I had made the appointment days in advance and when I got there I had to wait for over 30 minutes until the technician came out to help. They tried everything I had already done and more, nothing worked. They then told me that there was no water damage or internal damage and that it was totally mechanical and not anything I did. So I didn't do anything, that's good, right? No. I had to pay for an entirely new phone because it was 3 months over my apple care expiration date. The most they did for me was take 10% off my glass screen protector which barely covered the tax for it. This is the worst apple experience I have had and Apple needs to take responsibility for their mistakes instead of making their customers pay for it. read more

I am a loyal apple user. However the support service in this particular store is very poor. Frequently, overcrowded and always understaffed. I've had genius bar appointments canceled w/o notice, been steered wrong by staff who are unfamiliar with Apple products and treated like a errant teenager by staff assigned to sort customers concerns, left waiting and more. I will continue to buy and use Apple products but will drive across a bridge to find competent service at other stores. read more

She was rude and deceiving and didn't address my situation or give me options on how to make the situation right. The problem was clearly Apple's software on my phone and I was told I couldn't get a replacement for the problem that they were ABLE TO REPLICATE IN-STORE. Going to the Apple Store to me is like visiting the DMV in regards to the wait times. But thank God I got there at a good time, and only waited for 3 whole minutes. I guess it helped that I was there Christmas Eve and an hour before closing. I got help from Judy who was very wonderful in helping me with my purchase and re-setting my apple ID. I also needed help restoring everything (my phone was stolen) so she transferred me to Bruce- the Santa of the apple store. HE WAS NOTHING BUT AMAZING. My phone took almost an hour to reset, backup and what not, and Bruce walked me thru everything. He even stayed after his shift on Christmas Eve to make sure all my questions were answered and I was 100% confident in my phone. My wife and I started to have significant battery problems with our cell phones right after we downloaded the latest IOS 12. Yesterday we went to the Apple store in Corte Madera to get our problem resolved. We were assigned Rachel and Bella to help us. After we explained the problem to them they outright refused to acknowledge that there could be a phone battery problem associated with downloading the IOS 12 (please note that later on we found out that millions of people have had this problem). When we insisted that both of us had this problem right after the download and we have heard the same complain from many other folks, including our family and friends they started to ridicule us and very arrogantly told us that your batteries are two year old and it is time to buy new batteries. Later or per my request the manger (Mick or Nick) came. He was equally rude and arrogant and had no intention of listening or helping us (just like the other two of his employees). All he wanted was to sell us new batteries for the phone. After yesterday's experience my wife or I will not go back to the Apple store in Corte Madera and to the extent possible we will support Apples's competitors. If we do have to go to an Apple store, we would rather drive a few miles and go to the Apple store in SF to save us the agony of dealing with these rude, arrogant crooks who do not know the basics of good customer service. read more

I went to the Apple Store on a Sunday morning to get the battery in my iPod replaced, and ran into a bureaucracy that would make the federal government proud. Suffice to say, I ended up having to relate the exact same information three times to three different people, who gave me the same response each time. All this could have been handled by the first person I spoke with, who obviously had plenty of time to handle it. Instead, I was told to come back for an appointment 5 hrs later to repeat the aforementioned information two more times (after having to wait 30 minutes past the appointment time). Maybe this is efficient for the staff, but I thought customer service meant serving the customer, not the other way around. read more

This store starts me off with a receptionist, if that's their job description, and then transfers me to someone who is too busy to help. "Make an appointment", "don't you help walk ins?", "No we don't ". Inconsistent poor service time after time. Last night, one rep did a good job of helping me with the product. But I was undecided. I was choosing between one he said was available, which I had confirmed on line, and another that I would have to wait weeks for delivery. He had to leave. Then I choose the one available but could not find anyone after that to help me and after 5+ minutes of walking around holding what I wanted in my hand I got someone to help me. She was unpleasant, snotty and said the item was not in the store. I left, again disappointed. Next morning I went to order it on line and again Apple says it is in the Corte Madera store. The young untrained people that this store hires do not understand service. I've spend many thousands here I have not had a good experience. Knowing Apple though, they tend not to care about their customers. They didn't get to be a trillion dollar company by spending time making people who walk into their stores feel good. I was in the store in the afternoon of Sat Nov 8 and had a terrible experience. I went in completely open to the possibility of changing from being a longtime PC user to a Mac user. Before addressing that though I needed to get clear about how to straighten out a Mac issue with my 90 yr old friends computer. Just a few simple questions. As I walked in the (always busy) store I passed an Apple employee standing by the front door who just looked at me as if to say "what do you want?" I proceeded back to a young lady with an Ipad. She was signing people in. She asked me with a sweet smile what I was there for and was quick to inquire as to if it was a sales question or something else. I explained to her that it was really both. She said OK then - we'll be able to help you in a few minutes and please wait over to the side. I politely moved to the side and waited..and waited...and waited. Meanwhile I wanted to try out a few of the computers on display. Not one of them worked beyond allowing you to look at the desktop! It was frustrating to say the least. Back to the Ipad girl. Well as time clicked by she occasionally looked my way and I waited. Then after about 10 minutes I went over and asked if she could tell me how much longer? She replied "Oh. your next" with the same sweet smile. Fine. I waited another five minutes and looked at her to see if someone was coming. She kept looking over at me and then after seeing me not being attended came over and said (with the same sweet smile ugh!) "hasn't anyone come over? I said no. After standing there and feeling incredulous and smarting from what felt like a deliberate slight. I got mad after another 3 minutes and left. I was so upset I vowed never to buyi an Apple computer. I like the products ~ but too often (not always) the people who champion them have an inflated opinion of themselves and the attitude to match. I don't think that I deserved to be treated this way. Worst experience in a store I have ever had. Manageress is very condescending. Went to get the screen replaced that I cracked. $109 plus tax. Ok I thought. But because my iPhone 6 is microscopically warped they say it's now not possible to replace the screen and will now cost me $320 plus tax to repair. Bite me if you think I am going to pay that!! Absolutely showed no interest and all he said was bring your computer and we can look at it.. Very surprising for an apple store. Being a long time Apple user, (27 years) this was terrible. (Sign up on line, but don't explain why in the optional notes section or it will crash your appointment sign up--it did so more than once.)
