I took my Iphone 6 to the apple store because I was having trouble with it freezing up and I could not listen to my voicemail messages. The store was extremely busy and the wait time to talk with someone at the genius bar was ridiculously long. To make a long story short they didn't want to take responsibility that the problem was Apple so twice they sent me to Sprint my service provider after two visits to Sprint and four visits to the apple store my phone had to be reset back to manufacture specs. During one of my many visits I talked with a lady supervisor who refused to help me and sent me to Sprint. That store is enough to make me think about going to an android phone! read more

This is the smallest store in the surrounding vacinity. It's very small and noisy. The staff is friendly and eager to please.

I expect a wait time at any Apple store. (I expect to wait for anything worthwhile!) I made an appointment for the first available, and I was going to have to wait 1hr 20 min. No problem. I checked in, and waited about 15 minutes for service (no problem, again.) An employee checked in with me and said a tech would be with me shortly. As she was leaving, a woman approached the employee and began complaining about how she had been waiting 30min. "Did you make an appt?" "No." "You were told it would be about 30 minutes, and [checking the time] it has been about 30 minutes." "[More passive/aggressive complaining...]" I tuned her out about then. About 3 minutes late a tech approached me, looking at his Ipad and asked if I was Derek. "Yes!" [Change on tech's Ipad screen...] "Okay, I have to help one person who was here before you. Someone will be with you shortly." (Deja vu?) The tech approaches Ms. "Squeaky Wheel," and helps the woman who had no appointment who had essentially slowed the Apple machine down. I had been waiting nearly as long as she, however, I had waited 1hr 20min at Peet's for my APPOINTMENT. NOT OKAY. Fortunately, I was helped a few minutes later by Jim W. 2:30pm 2/23/16 who was probably the best tech I have ever met at Apple. I have been using Iphones and Ipads since the second gen, and I think I deserve some priority over Ms. "Squeaky Wheel No Appointment Necessary" when I had gone through the trouble of actually making an appointment, showing up on time, and not making a fuss while waiting. This store would get two stars if not for Jim W. I do hope management was informed (of course, I told some employees briefly - without anger, about what I perceived to be a classic situation of the squeaky wheel getting her way.) Thank you Jim W! And Apple (Corte Madera) please get this message, or you're going to find plenty of squeaks coming from this "wheel!" I'm pretty sure the business will run smoother if you reward those who take the time to make appointments and wait their turn like everybody else. read more

Ok, computers are inanimate objects and every Apple Store carries essentially the same items as those at the on-line Apple Store. As the matter of fact, even if you're in Tokyo, and drop in the Apple Store in Ginza, the scene is the same. So, what's the point of the Apple Store if they are all in the cookie-cutter sameness? Oh, there is absolutely no denying that Apple products are the most sensual computer products ever made, period. You want to touch it, caress it, and perhaps even embrace it, and you can even take it home without worrying about offending anyone or making anyone jealous. Well, since I've gotten my Mac mini and the iBook G4 on which I am typing this review, my Dell PC and a slew of other Windows computer scattered around the house have gathered dust, in spite of their dual core stuff and RAID... It just brings so much joy using products that appeal so much to our visceral side. The weight and the travel of the keys are just right; the touch pad responds just right; the fonts are just right; the overall form is just right... They are the most sensual inanimate objects, and the point of the Apple Store is to experience them physically. Oh, baby. And this review is the 69th that I've written on Yelp... My iPhone wouldn't work while I was in town visiting Bakersfield for my cousins birthday and the day before I left my iPhone wouldn't respond. I was trying to find locations in Bakersfield looking for an Apple Store but the hour availability was not helpful to me. I ended up driving back to the Bay Area and noticed that Corte Madera is the only availability to have my phone be fixed. I drove all the way back to the Bay Area where I live to get it fixed with an appointment. So imagine a 4 hour drive back to Fairfield all the way to Marin to get my phone fixed all in the same day... I was very pleased with the help of an employee but I was put on hold in between my service for the other employee to help other customers while my phone was getting diagnosed. It is nice to know they're convenient in availability than any other Bay Area locations. I will be a returning customer if I am around the area. Awesome service! Walked in knowing what I wanted- an iPad 2. Didn't want a salesman pressuring me to get more space than I needed. Completed the transaction fast and got a crash course on how to use it, which is nice because Apple did not include a hard copy of comprehensive instructions (just URL addresses). I sat I'm line all day on march 11th to get the new iPad 2. the product did not disappoint but the overall experience was the masterpiece. This was an impressively carried out event. I was fifth in line out of 200+. All day the staff checked in on us gave water and coffee and staff walking up and down the line answering all our questions. They were as equally excited as we were. One individual, mark, was particularly great. So friendly and he actually took my phone inside and charged it so my could keep working on my laptop and not leave the line. It felt more like a whole day of tailgating except we were all also working on our laptops. Once the store opened the experience only improved. This is basically my go-to mac store. It is sort of embarrassing to actually have a go-to mac store, but I do. I'm not overly jazzed with the people who work there, much less than in the city or east bay, but it is what it is. That said, I like anywhere I can walk in and get what I need, and be out in 15 minutes. I tend to not have questions ever though so that helps cut down the time. read more

Good store, great help. They made my 2 i-phone purchases an enjoyable experience. There was a recall on the charger plugs awhile back and at the time the usb cord (that comes with it) began to tear, exposing the wires. Apple replaced it on the spot, no questions asked. My 2nd iphone the same thing recently happened, torn charger wire....but this time they did not take care of me. Now it was a warranty issue. Thus the minus 2 stars. read more

... after 6 hours on the phone with Apple Care ... 5 hours attempting to verify and repair my NEW ~(second reinstalled HD from AppleCare)~ ... after the extrernal hard drive was ejected improperly when the NEW HD crashed ~ ~( d/t a boot x drive being found in the TRASH CAN) ... ... i phoned the Corte Madera Store ... explained my situation to Jeanine *store manager* at 3pm on a SUNDAY ... Jeanine got me in IMMEDIATELY to one of her senior Apple Techs :: AL ... who rewrote my drive AND REPAIRED the x~ternal HD which was corrupted when the NEW MAC HD crashed ... ... if ONLY COMP USA *(where i purchased this laptop less than 9 mos ago ...and whom still refuses to acknowledged that after FIVE REPAIRS ~(logic boards, HD's, et al) that this G4 Powerbook should be replaced by the MACPROBOOK which i ORIGINALLY requested ~ for the tasks i am asking this single processor computer system to accomplish AND WHICH I HAD BEEN REPEATEDLY ASSURED BY COMP USA THAT THIS NEW & IMPROVED G4 POWERBOOK WOULD BE CAPABLE OF HANDLING ~ (yet instead i was told they weren't expecting stock in for 2 weeks and assured ME that the NEW POWER BOOK G4's were NEW AND IMPROVED and CAPABLE of handling the multi tasking of PRO APPS ~when clearly the experiences of the past 9 mos. shows that it is NOT )... if they were EVEN 1/3 as HELPFUL and EMPATHETIC to the incessant drama that ensues when you are sold a system that is completely dysfunctional and is clearly a LEMON in it's own right .... OR EVEN APPLE CARE FOR THAT MATTER ... who has told me on more than one occassion that the G4 PowerBook is not POWERFUL enough to run all of the PRO APPS simultaneously that i am asking of it ... yet won't back up me as their customer or hold "their 3rd party retailers accountable" ... ~I REALLY HOPE THAT STEVE JOBS GETS SOME OF THIS FEEDBACK~... i can only recommend this APPLE STORE in Corte Madera with a 5 star PLUS RATING in management and service .... It used to be pretty typical for me to cry in frustration when dealing with upgrading my phone. Although trying to get a new iPhone 6 for my husband has been a bit if a nightmare (I have the AT&T store partially to thank for that) I wasn't brought to tears. But I'm about to shed tears of joy thanks to Victor at the Corte Madera Apple Store. Don't go on Thursday evenings. Employees are shady! i received customer service that reminds me why I don't regularly purchase my Apple products here-I go to Best Buy. They wouldn't honor my telephone back to school purchase deal (free BeatsX) after I tried to do a return/repurchase to take advantage of a combo gift card and trade in purchase that the online agent said would be ok. After wasting 30 min. I left. Turns out that they did not process the return for the return of BeatsX headphones and it reflected that I had picked it up (though I didn't) and would be charged $150 since it was outside the the Back to school deal. They should have done that immediately. If I hadn't called the Apple telephone sales support, the employee and Thurs night manager would have had the headphones at my expense-$150! As has happened at other Apple stores, I was treated like an idiot. I had a straightforward but somewhere obscure question about my iPhone X. I could not get the employees to listen to what my question was.They repeatedly answered the simple question that they thought I was asking, and not the question I was asking, no matter how many times I told that that was not my question. It may be that most of the time they deal with people who have very little knowledge, but that doesn't excuse them not listening. Is it because I'm a middle-aged woman? Other times, other Apple stores, I have been insulted by the employees' surprise when they figure out I know what I'm talking about. JOIN THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT RE IPHONE 6 touchscreen problems!!! THE WORST Apple Store I've been to!! We had touchscreen problems with three IPHONEs 6 PLUS. We had terrible experience at this store trying to solve these problems. HORRIBLE SERVICE! Unbelievably RUDE MANAGER! Don't trust staff at this Apple Store when they tell you that this is your fault your IPhone 6/Plus is not working because it's bent and it's bent because you dropped it a couple of times or sat on it! It's not your fault! You don't have to drop it or sit on it for it to break. IPhone 6/Plus is designed so badly that it easily bends and breaks!! Apple knows about this problem but they want us, their customers, to pay for their mistake/poor design. It is unethical! They train their employees to talk marketing language and say things according to Apple instructions. They aim for you to choose to buy a new Iphone instead of fixing a "defective" by its design IPhone 6/Plus. They say "Buy IPhone 7 or IPhone 6S - they are stronger and they won't bend" Just trash the one you bought for $1100 and buy a new one!! This is what they offered to us as a solution. Nice solution, isn't it? We have three IPhones 6 Plus (my husband, my mom and I). When your IPhone 6/PLUS breaks and you go to this Apple Store to fix it they will accuse you of breaking your IPhone, and tell you that you have to pay $149 for them to swap it out for a "new" IPhone 6/Plus. Watch closely when they give you your "new" IPhone - it comes in a used box (not sealed or taped) and IPhone they give you stating its new is NOT A BRAND NEW IPhone - it's a refurbished IPhone, i.e. made with parts from different used IPhones. If you decide to swap it out your "new" refurbished IPhone will die in three days (like in our case) or maybe a bit later. And they will ask you to pay another $149 to swap it out for another "new" (read refurbished) IPhone. I am serious. Don't buy this BS!! They have a class action suit going on. Join it! Info re lawsuit is easy to find on the Internet. Staff at the store can't talk about it, they will tell you they know nothing about the lawsuit or any problems with IPhone 6/Plus. Well.. they got their instructions. REGARDING THE STORE AND SERVICE QUALITY: I would give zero star to this store if I could. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! Service at this location is horrible. They have 30 employees standing around, chatting, and 10 customers waiting to be helped for hours at any given time of day. And if you are lucky to get so-called help that day it doesn't mean they will actually resolve the issue you need to resolve. They are rude and unprofessional. Every time you go there you spend at least two hours waiting to be helped. Yesterday my husband and I spent five hours there and our problem WASN'T solved. The manager was extremely rude. He treats customers like dirt. When I told him that the option they give us (we can get another refurbished IPhone 6 Plus for free) is not solving our problem - because this phone will also die soon because it's refurbished and this series of IPhones have an initial touchscreen problem - he couldn't care less. He told us he won't talk to us anymore and instructed the staff at the store not to talk to us. We had to leave the store. We've been loyal Apple customers for many years and never experienced anything like this!! HORRIBLE! Absolutely first-rate service *every* time I've been there. Finally got my iPhone a few weeks ago from Verizon. (I won't do AT&T, but that's another set of stories.) Verizon tells me that I have to purchase AppleCare from the Apple Store. "Are you sure?" I say, knowing that it usually has to be purchased at the time of sale. "Absolutely," I am told by salesperson and manager at the Verizon Store. So I go to the Apple Store to purchase AppleCare for my new iPhone. The first person I talk to says that it has to be purchased at the same time that it is bought and adds, "I'll get someone who can help you." Another person comes over and says, "We've been seeing this problem from Verizon. Let me see if I can make this work." She took my debit card, ran it through the hand-held gizmo, tried a few things, then looked up and said, "Problem fixed. You're all set. Let me make you a hard copy of the receipt, just in case there's any problem down the road." This kind of problem-solving response has been my experience whenever I go to the store. Always have a good experience when I go in there. Though busy, I always seem to get help. No wonder Best Buy in Marin City closed. You could not ever get help and there was never anyone in there. Once in awhile I will get the odd ball who defies the laws of Apple Retail, but that is very rare. Usually around Christmas. The help there is knowledgable and always will to help. Was skeptical of this store after reading the negative reviews, but I had a great experience there today. Was every single person I saw in there extremely friendly? No. But I made an appointment online this morning for 11am, was seen by a technician at 11:02am who then proceeded to patiently wait as my dead iPad charged for 10 minutes, and then fix my issue.
