Another xlnt experience at Renew computers! My older dell inspirion laptop would not charge even with a new power cord. They figured out why & fixed it for a very reasonable $100. Thank you Anthony & Mike. read more

Renew Computers is THE BEST! The best friendly, knowledgeable staff, I've bought & repaired all my Mac used laptops here, Saidel is the amazing Mac guru here - if any Mac needs service/repair - he can do it, with speedy turn around - and they do great used PC sales and repair too. I'm a loyal customer since 2000 - it's my first stop for anything computer/electronic tech related. Buy, recycle, reclaim, repair, repurpose, or safely dispose of electronic tech of all kinds here - What a great service for our community! read more

When I have old electronics that are either not functional or still marginally functional, I bring them to Renew Computers. Also, when I couldn't find any place to drop an old iPhone, they would accept that too! Sometimes, it is just good to have a place to bring things That you don't want around the house anymore. And Renew Computers will take the electronics almost unqualified. The staff are friendly and responsive, and someone will always answer the phone to answer your questions. There is no reason to not recommend them highly! We are fortunate to have them in our community. read more

It is amazingly fast and convenient to drop e waste here, and they are so nice! I keep all my buster electronics in a box and bring the box once or twice a year. read more

I have been a customer of Renew for several years, and have purchased at least two refurbished computers from them. I've always been assisted promptly and courteously, until today. I am planning to upgrade my laptop, and dropped in to see what they had. A couple of other people were being helped, so I sat down to wait. And wait, and wait. No one asked me if I'd been helped, or what I needed. One guy was pricing something and placed it on a shelf right in front of me, ignored me, and went back behind the counter. Then new people came in, and he promptly helped them, which is when I got up and left. Train your staff better, Renew! read more

Casey helped me save all of my many years of hard work I had saved on my laptop that had been severely damaged for the nominal fee of $100. I say nominal because another company wanted to charge me $1,100. for the same job. Thank you Casey not only for being extremely competent, but also for being honest and trustworthy! You are the best! read more

This place is incredible. I have been able to buy a used laser printer, recycle many things, and get my laptops and computer fixed here. Al is my go to guy. I have nothing but the best things to say about this place. It's been a Godsend. Thanks Al!! read more

It's all good! Easy access, help unloading the car, simple instructions. Great staff and excellent range of accepted items.

Fair prices and great service! I brought in my MacBook Pro that had a fried charging port and the computer tech there told me it could be repaired within the week when other big box stores tried to sell me a whole new laptop. My laptop was fixed as promised and now has an extended life. Thank you Renew for delivering on your promise and for being in the community. A lot of fixable items would go to waste if it wasn't for you. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for computer repairs. Salute! read more

Easy to deal with and they unloaded my massive microwave and did the work for me. I was in and out in a few minutes!

Save $$$$. Like going into a toy store for smart people! Phenomenal place that supports are community and refurbishes computer- instead of going to the dump. Super Friendly staff- every time! read more

My computer was not charging, even though plugged in. After several attempts at customer service with Dell and failing, I remember Renew. I took the computer in and was told someone would contact within day or so. As promised the person called and told the adaptor may have worn out and he would ordering a part and I should the computer by November 24th. Sure enough, on November 24th the computer was ready and cost of the repair was reasonable. I highly recommend Renew Computers to my friends. Great Job. read more

Best recycling experience. Couldn't be easier... handed over the electronics for recycling... including cords and old Christmas lights. Handed the guy $5 to recycle the microwave, received a receipt for that tiny fee, and left. We had told our neighbors we were going so were able to collect a trunk- load of small appliances. The location is easy to reach  with  a parking lot... no messing with a dirty dump or inconvenient hours or systems. During Covid folks were just unpacking their trunks and being waved on... super easy. read more

I am sure that there are many knowledgeable, competent computer repair technicians in Marin County. I don't expect to meet them, however. Other than dropping off e-waste for recycling, this is the 2nd time I have used them for a critical task. Again, they delivered with competence, speed and courtesy. Al did great work and has been a delight to work with on a challenging problem. Kudos! I highly recommend them. read more

I have been a customer of Renew Computers likely 15+ years now and I am always totally satisfied with the help they give me. I have bought both refurbished tower computers and laptop computers from them over the years for personal use and business use where I work and so the businesses use them also for their computer needs. They have excellent customer service and are very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and I have never had a bad experience no matter who has been on the counter helping me. Saidel really knows computers both hardware and software and Jen has always been terrific too. Today Myles and Casey helped me and now I am on the internet once more and things are running smoothly again. I am happy to recommend Renew Computers in San Rafael and feel lucky to have learned about them when I did. read more

These guys techs are the best. I had a minor issue with my laptop running slow, especially considering it's not even a year old. Renew did a quick counter diagnosis and corrected a few things, primarily unused/needed Chrome extensions. He also gave me a few tips and and disk maintenance sites. It's now running fine. I tried to pay them for this but they said no need to. I'll definitely be back the next time I need PC repairs. They also have a nice selection of used PCs and Apples. read more

I'm helping a family member with a hoarding situation and they have a couple of computers they are afraid to part with. Renew was able to download the hard drive onto a flash drive for me from an old Dell desktop! And then took the old computer off of my hands. All in one service. I'll be using them for my own unused laptops. If you have elder family members who need help decluttering, check out Renew. read more

Someone broke into my computer. It was awful and felt like such an invasion. Saidel worked on my computer and he did such a great job. He had also recently worked on my laptop and made it like brand new !!!! I took my big one over to Renew computer and they installed "Norton" which is a free down load from Comcast and Saidel worked on this one too. He took a program off that the culprits were able to sneak into my computer and now I feel safe. Renew computer is definitely the best place to go here in Marin! My headphone jack got stuck inside the portal of my laptop and broke off. I have an older Laptop with Windows 8. I asked the sales clerk at Best Buy if a Bluetooth would work on machine. He said yes it should not be a problem. I purchased a $50 headset. brought it home and found out that my laptop was not compatible. I went back the next day and after several minutes of them doing the same thing that I did at home, returned the headset. I then decided to take a look at the new laptops. Just browsing. Another sales rep approached me. I told him what had happened. He tried to sell me a USB plug that works with Bluetooth. Of course it was not compatible. All of this took around 2 hours. When It could of been as easy in and out. I then drove around the corner to a computer repair store. "Renew" . They sold me a used headset than plugs into my USB port. For $10.00 . It works perfect. These guys are great ! At first they tried to take out the stuck jack. No Luck. Then they found a used head set. I am so grateful to them. They saved me allot of money and stress. read more

I dumped an entire 5 completely useless electronic items that were only taking up space in my supervisor's office off at Renew computers today. He's the kind of guy that keeps something because it's "It's a TOTALLY BADASS CORDLESS PHONE". BUt, Josh, WHERE IS THE PHONE?? THIS IS JUST THE RECEIVER. They go together like gin and juice, Harold and Maude, peanut butter and jelly. It just isn't as good without it's better half. GET RID OF IT! Stop HOARDING STUFF IN YOUR OFFICE/HOME/CAR YOU DON't NEED or USE SIMPLY BECAUSE IT MAY WORK ONE DAY WHEN YOU FIND THAT OTHER PART THAT IT GOES TO. You'll feel better, afterward. Trust. And you won't have to pay a cent to do it!!! read more

The customer service is exceptional. They have serviced my computers and have advised when a computer is worth the cost to repair versus purchasing a new one. They have assisted me with many many silly questions of mine, have never made me feel inadequate (dumb) for not knowing all the language associated with computer world. I will continue to support their business and continue referring others. I thank them read more

Thank you Michael! This place has restored my faith in humanity, service, and generosity. I called out of the blue yesterday from fire-struck Santa Rosa desperately looking for some tablets for the Deaf community that have lost their homes and communication devices. Of all the places I called, Renew Computers was the only place even willing to help. They donated a number of workable tablets to these families in need and were so kind when I came to pick them up. I will be back to purchase/fix my devices here and recommend them to anyone in the area and beyond. read more

These folks repaired the cooling fan in my laptop. It's at the bottom of the case and it's a pain to do since I've done it. Besides doing a great job with that, they transferred the data from a broken external hard drive to a new one.
