I've been here many times over the years, but the service has become unacceptable. I had to come in three separate times for the same issue. Each time, they attempted temporary fixes instead of acknowledging that a new part was needed under warranty. Only after multiple visits did they finally admit the phone requires a replacement part, which then wasn't available. No apology, no ownership, just another appointment. Honestly, I absolutely despise going to the Apple Store but sometimes it is just unavoidable. My phone decided to just crash on me and lock me out of my device one day. I tried everything I could at home to get it to work but after hours of me trying everything under the sun to get it to work, I gave up and went to the store. It was a Friday evening around 5:00. The place was packed, super loud, so bright and to add to the chaos they were doing an education presentation on their new virtual reality product. I made an appointment with the techs and ended up waiting 90 minutes to see a tech. The tech was super nice, very helpful and was able to pull up my receipt from when I bought the phone three years ago. I was so relieved that I could have kissed the tech. He got my phone working again and was so kind about it. I ended up going back three more days in a row to get a new phone since my phone was just too old, and purchasing more Apple products . I was very pleased with all my products and the customer service was excellent. All of my new products were set up and connected to my account before I even left the store thanks to the Apple Store employees. Definitely stop in if you need new products or need assistance with your current products, but make an appointment ahead of time and bring anything that keeps you entertained because you might be there awhile. read more

Incredibly crappy service. Before Christmas in 2024, I bought two high end laptops, one high end iPad, three sets of headphones and Apple care ( supposedly for all products), at the Corte Madera store, but the sales person forgot to add AppleCare to one of the laptops. Jump forward to two weeks ago in 2026, one daughter cracked the screen on her $2,000 laptop. Brought in the invoice to the Corte Madera store and lo and behold, no AppleCare on that single computer. The Apple rep said it was Apple's fault and the salesperson "forgot to press a button.". My daughter is getting a graduate degree at UCSB, and brought the laptop to the Santa Barbara Apple store. The Corte Madera rep -manager-refused to contact the Santa Barbara Apple Store and only said-- " if the computer was in Marin and brought to that store in Corte Madera, they would fix the screen" but not provide AppleCare -- even if I paid for the AppleCare that their employee mistakenly forgot to add- the AppleCare. So I got stuck with a $700 bill to fix the screen in the Santa Barbara Apple Store. Lovely work from a store that has provided products to me and my family since the day it opened and 10s of thousands of purchased products -- all with AppleCare--. Every single purchased product ( dozens) except this one had AppleCare. Honestly, Apple has a 4tt market cap, but they hire incompetent people, supervised by short- sighted small-Minded managers that understand nothing about customer service to devoted customers. Not 100% on the names of associates here but. Genius Bar with Alex(?) was awesome. Came twice in a 2 weeks span for a similar issue and he recognized me right away and was super helpful both times, very personable and realistic with what to expect. If I ever have to come back hope it's him I get to work with again! While waiting I watched a manager Rachel(?) deal with some very tense customers, keeping strength and poise in the face of some very upset people. After an epic fail at attempting to trade-in my old watch by mail, then using the online chat, both times receiving detailed but conflicting directions, I took my old watch to Apple in Corte Madera in hopes they could help. I was blown away by how helpful they were. The trade-in was taken care of easy-peasy. Then they showed me so many features on my new watch that were never described in the videos or tutorials. And, they gave me a free one-on-one one class. That was not mentioned by anyone before. The kindest part--I'd just picked up my dog from the vet and she was very sick and worn out. An associate made certain she was comfortable the whole time. I like Apple products very much but I LOVE the customer care so much more. read more

Although the diagnostic itself only takes a few minutes, I was told there would be no Genius Bar availability for over four hours. However, I was immediately offered the option to trade in my current phone for $1,000 toward a new iPhone 16 Pro Max--an upgrade I could make on the spot with no wait. That pushy sales tactics c seemed appealing, but I chose to get a proper diagnostic first before making a purchase. I scheduled an appointment the next day at the Stonestown location. To my surprise, I was told the actual trade-in value of my iPhone was only $300--significantly less than what I was quoted in Corte Madera. I left feeling misled and frustrated by the overly aggressive and inaccurate sales pitch I experienced. This kind of inconsistency seriously undermines trust in the brand. I expect more transparency and integrity from Apple. Experiences like this make me question whether continuing with the Apple is worth it. read more

Was advised by apple phone tech to take my glitchy iPhone to an Apple Store for a 'genius' to try and resolve. This is a new Iphone 16 pro max less than 6weeks old under FULL warranty/insurance. Have already spent hours trying to resolve thru my provider and Apple phone tech. The Apple Store was not able to resolve in store and would not provide a replacement phone in the store. They advised me go thru my insurance to get the replacement. Insurance wants to charge me $95 just to process the claim... I generally write terrible reviews, so in this case here's a great one. First walking in it's a little intimidating, particularly since I'm new to Apple. There is an effort to control initially by some staff. Once I got through this I had TWO appointments at the Genius Bar. These guys were excellent. Changing over from Android to Apple was daunting, but they did not give up. They were great and I give them my highest rating. The notes taken by the first genius seemingly were excellent. One just have to be VERY clear with what you want done... and they did it all and more. I also learned that apple gives courses. a note to Apple - several employees are programmed to do only what they are told.. like telling me to go away and come back, when I was 25 minutes early to my appointment, rather than saying I might want to watch their continuous videos about courses they offer. Many employees think a bit like computers without AI. Apple might want to work on that. Overall, they got done what I wanted and More. They deserve five stars. read more

I purchased a new phone but had issues transferring over my info. I have music from over 20 years on there. The first person I was helped by was not sure how I would be able to keep it all but he tried what he could and got some of it. (50/3k songs) he was very helpful but had to take his break. He told me he was going to get someone else to help me. Chris came over and was a little skeptical too but then remembered something that might do it. He warned it may take over 75m but should work. I was so excited at the possibility. So I asked if I could play candy crush or something while I waited. He said "yeah, we could put a chair over there for you". But then I asked where I could walk. He told me about the path/trail around the Marsh. So I walked the beautiful trail and also did a bit of food shopping at the Trader Joe's I came across on my walk back. It took a little over 2 hrs but it was worth it to have all my stuff and I got to discover the Marsh. Thanks Chris! read more

Brought laptop in with no appointment because it was having some issues. It took less than 10 minutes for an associate to help me. That associate, Grettle, diagnosed and ran proper checks on the most efficient way possible, all while explaining every step to me. The issues were minor but the hemp and instruction was major! Grettle, was fast and professional and I left there more confident in my laptop and more knowledgeable about how to fix these issues in the future. Thank you, Grettle, you're amazing! read more

I was getting ready to travel for work and needed a privacy screen for my laptop. I did not have time to wait 2 days to order online. I called ahead, and the main Apple customer service number told me there were a few in stock in Corte Madera, so I dropped by. There were no privacy screens in display in the store, but the super helpful associate who greeted me not only confirmed they had a couple in stock, but he took the time to show his associate how to check for the inventory that is only in the back! It's like the secret menu at In N Out. I paid w/ my AppleID and got an instant receipt. Everyone was helpful and the process was pretty easy. Also, while I was there, they were hosting an iPad design course that looked fun. Overall, I would go back! read more

Now my entire life from 10 years from my old laptop is GONE. I can't believe the man who sold me my new laptop send me home thinking It waa going to be easy for me to register my new laptop as soon as I turned it on and logged into my new MacBook Pro, my old laptop (which the totally careless sales person sold me an external drive that doesn't even plug into my old laptop) was wiped clean. Bought AirPods Pro for my boss for Christmas. He said the left bud doesn't work. Fortunately (?) I bought Apple Care for them. So I go to the Apple Store. They tell me I need an appointment and there are no appointments available that day, so I made an appointment for the next afternoon and was told to get to the store 10 minutes early. Came into the store 10 mins early yet they wait until exactly the appointment time to help me, fair enough. They take the AirPods and tell me the diagnostics will take 10-15 mins, to feel free to wander around the store. I told the tech I have a project at home I need to finish so I will wait at the Genius Bar. Besides, I do not need more Apple products, thank you. Tech does some diagnostics with the buds and a laptop in the store for several minutes, then wraps up the wires and puts the laptop away then tells me he needs to take them in the back for more diagnostics. 30 minutes and counting.... These are brand new Airbuds. I bought Apple Care. Seems to me they should swapped them out for new ones since one of the buds doesn't work - instead of making me come down twice and wait. I mean, the tech clearly couldn't get the buds to work properly while running the initial diagnostics - why make me wait longer? I should have simply returned them and bought new ones. Just seems like a runaround. Tech just came out to say they still can't get them to work. I ask if he can simply exchange them for new ones since these are new and didn't work out of the box. He tells me yes, he should and is waiting for a manager to do so. Turns out since I bought them at Costco, the Apple Store won't honor Apple Care's policies. I guess. Total runaround. Now the tech says he needs at least another 1/2 hour to run more diagnostics. He said if I had purchased them from Apple store they would have simply switched them out. Moral of the story - do not buy any Apple products at Costco. read more

I needed to have my screen protector replaced. I have an older IPhone X so was hoping it wouldn't be a hassle. I walked in and asked for help. I was immediately assigned to an Apple guy who ordered up the protector for me. He said to wait and when it arrived they would install it for me. What?? Okay, sure, because it is a pain to put on a scene protector. The wait was short. So they bring out this white plastic envelope and this silver case. I thought, wow, they are giving me all of this? But it was a contraption that had a cloth cleaner for my screen and then the contraption was used to hold the new screen protector and my phone in place for my new protector! It was so cool! Reminded me of a Polaroid camera when my phone was in it and the paper they pulled out was the adhesive to the protector so that it would adhere to my phone! They had me pay first ($40-- ouch). But was well worth it as it lined up perfectly and i didn't have to fuss with it. Thanks, Apple, in Corte Madera! A very happy customer! read more

I had the worse experience at an Apple store today at the Apple Store in Corte Madera. The manager, a tall, white, bald man, raised his voice to his employee and me and told the employee and me that we had to resolve our issue outside and leave the store. The manager had no customer service skills, offered to no options of resolution to my phone's issue, and I left the store feeling very disrespected and bothered of how he treated his own staff. My partner and I were kicked out of the Apple store at 8:45pm with no resolution to my issue. I arrived at 6:30pm to pick up my iPhone 14. However at 7pm, when sitting with an Apple employee to set-up the new phone, the iphone was having technical difficulties and the Software Update took over an hour to download and install. A technician came out with a laptop and ethernet cable to expedite the process. The store then closed at 8pm and the employee helping me helped me with transferring the data from my old iphone to the new one. However, that was also taking a long time and when 8:45pm hit, a manager appeared, raised his voice to the staff member, saying "you need to end it here. We have to close. You can take the phone and help the customer outside. You need to end it now." I was appalled on the treatment of his staff and to me and my partner. I told the staff member that I can handle this on my own and thanked him for all his help. I will be sending a formal complaint to Apple and to the store as well on the disrespectful manner the staff and I were treated tonight with no resolution to my issue. What can I say?! My phone had a cracked screen and a bum front camera. I tried to get it repaired at Best Buy but they didn't have the camera part. I made a reservation here and arrived super early. I was turned away by the first employee I spoke with. I waited a bit and then spoke with Hanna. Hanna was super empathetic to the fact I had been dealing with trying to get my phone repaired all day. Hanna happily helped me and then sent me to speak with Thunder. Thunder was polite, fast and very pleasant. Although it took a lot longer to repair my phone than initially anticipated, they got it done and honored the initial repair quote. Angelica helped me with getting my stuff back on to my phone. Now my phone is like brand new. And yes, Hanna, to answer your question, you did make my day a little (a lot!) better. Having been to Toyota Service twice, I'm told to check online. The staff here have no idea what my problem is trying to pair my iPhone with my car. This is the information provided by Apple online. If you still can't pair or connect your Bluetooth accessory. The customer service here is horrible, and the attendant at the front door was rude and condescending. At any other store, you would be greeted kindly with a "How can I help you?" As soon as I walked through the entrance, the attendant assumed I wanted to pre-order an iPhone 15 and told me purchase online, impatient and with a tone implying he didn't have time for me. I was there to buy an iPhone 14. Considering the long wait times (yes, even though the store was empty) and the rude customer service, I left. I've had a better experience at the Apple at Stonestown. 3.5 hours in Apple after they committed to replacing my iPhone for a faulty battery and performance issues. (I have Apple care) I was sent here from a previous appt from a tech in the Genius Bar. They said then they had to call support to get one sent to me. Then I waited 2 more hours for them to get a confirmation code. After 2 hours they said whoops it was a mistake and they now could only replace the battery and I would have to wait another hour. No recourse and no care that they told me it was being replaced. No apologies for waiting for hours. Every time I've come into this store it's been a colossal mess and waste of time. They don't care because they have a corner on the market. I won't go to this store anymore that is how bad it is. My husband was a top senior computer engineer and if he walked in this store he would walk right out. The way they treat the elderly and disabled and the fact that maybe two people in the store know what they are doing is sad. I grew up in Silicon Valley when it was just taking off and I met some bigwigs that are billionaires now. This store is an embarrassment to Apple and they should close it down or train a bunch of users and pay for them to live in Marin, because this store is giving Apple a bad reputation. When you make an appointment, the business should be prepared to meet you at the time you made the appointment. I've been waiting 40 minutes, and with the exception of a single "drive by" to tell me someone would be right with me (ha), there doesn't seem to be any interest in taking care of their customers. Today, I spent 30 minutes tying to find the right Apple Watch band. I was interrupted with an EXCUSE ME so that agents could get into drawers ... one of which astonishingly having nothing in it ... not once but FOUR times, without a please, without a thank you, or anything. Once, I had my personal device on the table, and after the agent turned away to someone clearly much more important and I stood in to close the door, I encountered The Glare of Death. As I left in irritation, the agent called after me "have a nice day" in a nice snarly fashion. I returned and spoke to Security and a Manager, the latter seemed surprised, but both had good EQ, listened, and appeared to care. I have never seen a location that is only about sales. After you purchase anything, they will not care about you. You are giving someone commission, and once they get it, your nothing to them. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. Look at the amount of one star reviews. This place is rude, unhelpful, assumptious, condescending, and misleading.
