I pay $1500 for a brand new Mac book pro 13 inch.. I have had problems since i got it. no space. so I pay $100 for a hard drive and none of my vids will transfer so I call Apple and have currently been on the phone with someone for 2 hours. wasted. We had a great experience once we got in the store. There was some minor miscommunication with the service department and the scheduling but the staff did what they should, and honored our appointment time. Terrance and Ben were beyond exceptional! We had a lot of questions when trading in our old iMac and they both were super helpful. Terrance took his time with us and made sure I knew all I needed to know with transferring info from one computer to the next. There are many bad reviews for this location. But if you have a problem with a device, do not to take it out on the Apple Team. They are there to help, if you give them respect and patience. The world needs more of that right now. read more

What kind of service is this, might as well go to Target, pay the same price and get better service than you ever receive at the Apple store. Superb Genius Bar staff! I don't have the fortune of an Apple store where I live, but I desperately needed a new battery for my iPhone 6s Plus and MacBook Pro Retina, from 2013! I don't just buy Apple products, I invest in them! These things last me a long time, and I am sad that my laptop will be considered "vintage" here shortly. At least I had a diagnostic run that confirmed my battery was at failure. The plus side is I was able to replace my battery at a discount! Check in was always easy and service was always outstanding! I was thinking of changing from my android to my wife's 64gb Apple 12, that t-mobile sold me when I went to t-mobile and said her 64gb phone was full and it was time for an upgrade. I was unaware apple still made 64gb phones and by the time I realized it, never opened the box it was past the return policy and I had been stuck with 2 64gb phones, so I traded one brand new phone in for the 512gb phone and my son went to Android, the 64gb phone went in a draw. I did get my daughter a 512gb iPhone, and was not trading in a another brand new iPhone for a $300 credit. I was thinking I should try the iPhone and went to the apple store for a little help. I had bought the airtags, and wanted to actually use them. Was hoping my other son who is currently going to 7 countries in the EU would take one so I could track him just in case. I wish I got some names but I was so shock at the nasty attitude I just wanted to leave. This nastiness was nothing like the month before when I went with my wife to get her a new iPad. As my wife and son had apple products some time ago I have several apple products, including computers, phones, and tablets. I was informed I needed and appointment for each device, not sure if 4 airtags each need an appointment. I did not know my airtags were paired with MY iPad, as the batteries had long died, and the one I was testing did not work. The nasty person tried to pair it, said it was out of warranty and it no longer worked, but checked the other three, which all worked fine. When I went home I had my son open the airtag that was not working at the store, and with help from the internet I reset it and it now works. why go the apple for help if they treat long time customers badly? My wife will still use apple products, but no one in my family will, I will make sure of that. between t-mobile and apple I am tired of being ripped off by t-maobile, and treated badly when I go for help to them. Unfortunately as we travel internationally its is t-mobile or Google FI who have coverage overseas, but apple I do not need. apple phones have dual sims, but so do other makes. I arrived a few minutes before my repair appointment and was directed to sit at a specific table. The small hard stools are uncomfortable and no alternatives are provided. For my plus two-hour visit these made for an excruciating experience. Despite scheduling my appointment, I still had to wait nearly an hour after arriving before getting service. Everyone already waiting at the table were served before me, which is expected since they'd arrived before me. However, I noticed several walk-ins that had arrived well after my appointment were getting served. I'd hope to make the long wait bearable by listening to an audio book, but their music and environment was so loud I had to abandon the attempt. read more

My three week old iPhone 8 stopped working on Christmas Eve. After typing my 4-digit passcode or using my thumbprint it would get to the home screen but in less than 10 seconds would go back to the passcode screen. I took it to the AT&T store on the 26th (Peachtree Pkwy in Suwanee, GA) in the morning (no appt) where there were 12 people ahead of me. The man who questioned me for the reason for this visit was just short of being rude and told me they can't help, I need to get help at an Apple Store. I understand the reasoning but would have appreciated being treated as a valued customer instead of an imposition. So the next morning I brought the phone to the Apple Store in the Avalon shopping mall and it was a world of difference. The Apple employee who helped me was Pamela - she was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I found out that the latest update hadn't been installed by me (since the phone was so new I didn't feel the need to do this right away). She plugged it into recovery mode and installed the latest update and then made sure that all data had been recovered. In 30 minutes I had a working phone and a much better understanding of my responsibilities as an iPhone owner. Thank you Apple - and especially Pamela!!! read more

I've given this location multiple opportunities to just be a good retailer. But instead they're snippy rude and condescending. Apparently they are the only Technology experts on the planet. You can go in and look and get a visual of what you want but I highly recommend ordering online if you want to stick with Apple products. the experience in this location and the customer experience is terrible. I absolutely love my Apple products (2 iPhones, 3 iPads, MacBook, Apple TV, Apple Watch), but I dread going in the store. I recently brought it an Apple Watch with a swollen battery for an appointment, had to wait 20 minutes, and was told the swollen battery was a manufacturer issue that would be covered with a replacement at no cost. Great news. I was then passed along to another associate, who had no idea why I was there, and I had to explain all over again the purpose of my visit. This associate then asked me what I do for a living and I told him I work in an office. I found this to be irrelevant. He then commented on how interesting that was, but then reassured me that his question had nothing to do with my watch. Immediately after reassuring me, he asked me if I frequently walk in and outdoors a lot for work, to which my response was "no more than any other ordinary person." He proceeded to tell me that Watch batteries swell due to change in room temperature and that my "frequent" walking indoors/outdoors was likely the cause of my watch battery swelling. Personally, this felt like a cop out and a poor attempt to pass the blame to me to try to get me to pay for the replacement, or perhaps it was a horrible attempt at up selling. And then I was passed off to a third person and had to explain all over again the reason for my visit. Fortunately this third employee reassured me that I would not be charged for the replacement. I picked my replacement Watch up roughly a week later. I spoke with two separate employees at this time and both told me that battery swelling is seen in the earlier watches, but it's cause is not quite known. I also read this on various web pages. Please know your stuff. It's pretty bad to tell your customer that walking indoors and outdoors is the cause of a failed battery. If that were truly the case, then maybe Apple should manufacturer a watch that can be worn both in and outdoors. read more

I ordered my daughter's computer online and we went to pick it up on the way out of town to take her to college (Her first semester). We get to The Avalon and even though the email said that all 5 items were ready, the clerk says, "It's still processing..." So naturally my first question is...."Do you have it in the back?" Well, he can't answer. We wait around a few HOURS and no update. We leave very disappointed!!!! I call 1-800-MY-APPLE and get the run around. Apple made its move from North Point Mall to the Avalon in search of a standalone, wider venue, and I'm glad they've done so. The new store has taken hints from the NYC Apple store and its west coast cousins, wide glass windows wrapping the new, industrial design building. It is absolutely spacious inside, a huge led display stretches the back length of the store, purposed for future workshops and events the store is planning to offer. Accompanying the display are fun couches and seats spanning the center of the store. The staff are even more tech'd out now, asking for your name right when you walk in, indiscreetly setting up a staff member to greet you as you walk around. I am thrilled for the new Apple store and can't wait for the future workshops to come. read more

Horrible customer service. My iPhone shut off for no reason, over heated and self destructed. I was frustrated and had to leave my job because I had no way to communicate with people without my phone. I got the phone from Apple 5 months prior and it was unacceptable. When I got here, I explained my problem to the representative taking care of appointments. I told him I can not wait to make an appointment and that it was urgent. He turned his neck around me and started talking to the customer behind me. Rude, disrespectful and VERY confrontational. He went on to get in my face and THREATEN me, before the manager had to get involved. I left with my broken phone and nothing resolved. I called corporate and had to work it out that way because of how terrible the associates are at this location. This happened 2 years ago and I will never walk back into this horrible, unprofessional and rude establishment. They do NOT deserve my money for their overpriced products. read more

I've been standing over 10min trying to SPEND $700+ on a tablet and accessories and the front guy can't get me a person to sell me. As I write this, there are like 4-5 guys in green apple shirts talking to each other. Problem with apples stores and staff is that they are lousy arrogant. Brand comes to their heads like they were Steve Jobs themselves. Any any any store I will be able to spend money faster and quicker than this. RIDICULOUS. Update: As rough as it felt to me from the bad service I received from the front person, I was overwhelmingly compensated with first class post complain service from the store managers from Avalon and Perimeter that managed to quickly call me no long after I called 1-800-MYAPPLE. In particular, Avalon's management was elegant, professional, impressively attentive and respectful to apologize for the terrible experience that I had. As angry a customer can get by receiving a bad service, I want to give me my kudos to the Manager of this store for being so nice, lovely and understanding about the issue. They were able to positively surprise and restore my faith with Apple's retail experience. read more

Worst customer service! Expect more from a brand like Apple! The associates in this store are unpleasant, not really helpful, not knowledgeable about their own products, and always in a hurry. Maybe due to the volume of crowd this store attracts - but that should not be an excuse. A few instances - all in the course of 2 separate visits: 1) They gave me the run around with a trade-in for 2 hours. This is after I had gone into the store with a trade-in and they said, "just do it online". Then when the trade in got cancelled the online folks said "well, the store should do it" 2) They did not believe that I had a reservation, until I showed them a text message that I did - this was laughable! 3) They were not ready to show me the Apple 11 Pro Max when I was buying a 11Pro (unreal, I am ready to pay more money!), just because the associate did not care or just wanted to get done with my sale. I just walked out with the 11 Pro because I did not want to waste more time in this store. The associate had no idea of different price points for the payments plan and was making things up as she went. All that she was interested in was that I keep clicking the next button for her sale. 4) They could have easily transferred data from my trade-in to my new phone with the new feature that Apple has but chose to do it the hard and the more time-consuming way of restoring from a cloud backup! Are these guys well trained? When I asked, the associate said, "oh! feel free to sit in the store and wait for your restore to complete!" Really? 5) I saw an elderly man (probably in his 80's) ask for help with his phone and they said, "well, please come back after an hour and a half, and we will talk to you then!" C'mon! I still like the products but may have to find an Apple store a little farther to get the support we deserve. Is there a negative rating on yelp? I would give that if it was possible. read more

I bought an iPad Pro and keyboard at the Avalon store in Alpharetta GA while on vacation. I asked for the magic keyboard and didn't realize until I got home they sold me a standard keyboard. I live 350 miles from Alpharetta and 200 miles from the closest Apple Store. They say I can only exchange the keyboard in person at an Apple Store. Everyone I talk to at Apple trying to resolve this problem is very polite but very unhelpful. Thanks Apple for your poor customer service. read more

Went to the Apple Store today at the Avalon to upgrade my brand new iPhone Xr, I just purchased this one about five days ago at this same Apple store and joined the upgrade program. So I was told by the guy assigned to Mike at about 11;15 this one out you're so turned out at the store said it is such a tedious and cumbersome process and he talked me out of doing this due to all of the problems to do it. Was totally overboard in how many steps and how many actions it would take to accomplish a move to a better phone. This is a good phone but I wanted the camera options that are available on the iPhone XS I am now considering at the end of my contract getting rid of my Apple devices an going to android I have total of four iPhones, 3 Apple watches, two Apple Computers-and I an discussed Apple needs to adopt the Chick-fil -a attitude and the "No worries" position and just get it done. Probably the worst service I have ever received at an Apple Store. I love Apple, I have been buying Apple products for over 10 years and have never had such a horrible experience. Long story short, I was gifted a laptop that was purchased during the Black Friday weekend deal where you receive a $200 gift card. I went to the store to change the color...and the manager refused. The laptop was unopened in its original plastic wrap, they opened it and took the laptop to the back and then made me leave with the same laptop I came in with. I understand that there are certain things that they may not have the power to do but the unwillingness to relate to the stupidity of not switching an unopen computer to the same thing in another color is absurd. If you are looking to get an issue fixed I recommend going to another Apple store in the area. read more

Being a loyal Apple customer for many years, I was extremely disappointed in the service I received, well in better terms service I did not receive. As some of you may know, there is an Apple defect in the iPhone 7 where it says, "No Service" in the top left corner. We called Apple and scheduled an appointment to have this issue fixed. They took my phone and gave me a loaner phone. A few days later I received a notification that my iPhone was ready. However, I was greeted by Sandy who informed me they could not fix my phone because the screen was refurbished. Sandy said they could not fix the iPhone 7, APPLE DEFECT because I had my screen replaced previously. Allow me to tell you why this frustrated me, it was an Apple software defect and they refused to fix it because I replace a broken screen. If you need more of an explanation, imagine buying a car with an engine made by Apple. One day that engine breaks down because of an error in the manufacturing of the engine. You go to Apple to fix it and they tell you they can't doing anything because you changed the tint of your windshield. Wow. Oh, but it gets better, instead of leaving the Apple store with 1 problem I left with 2. Not only was I still getting the No Service error but my home button was no longer working. I would just like to thank Apple for the terrible service! :) read more

This store is not honest with the repair time; promise to follow-up; or the importance of customers. Had first appointment with apple at this store. Met with a Apple "Genius" who advised that they were not busy and would run diagnostics and call me in 3 hours. Informed the "Genius" multiple times I need to know status ASAP as I needed the computer for my work. They never called so I called them back through apple support. Spoke with the same "Genius" who reassured and informed me they were working on the computer and would call me back shortly. Never heard back and I called right before the store closed. Spoke with apple support again and they did research that revealed that the computer had never had diagnostics ran and in fact they had not even touched the computer. Bottom line, the "Genius" had just flat out lied about the status on multiple times. If this is the way Apple and their "Genius" employees behave and are untruthful, this once loyal apple customer is going to now be a former apple customer as there are just as good products out there with better AND HONEST customer service. Be forewarned that you cannot get an honest follow up with this store. read more

I went into the Apple store today because my phone would not turn on. I was greeted by a nice friendly young lady who took down my information and put me on the list. The wait was 35 mins but what do you expect at the Apple Store on a Friday. As I walked around the store waiting, plenty of other associates would stop and ask me if I needed help and I would tell them I was fine and already on the list. It was nice though to see a staff that was so friendly and attentive. After awhile I was helped by a gentleman, I believe his name was Jeff or John (we even laughed at how simple his name was but I still forgot), he was a service manager. My phone was being very stubborn and would not turn back on but he tried many different things and after awhile he was successful and I had a working phone again. It was nice to have a working phone but more importantly the whole time we chatted and laughed, he had a great demeanor and provided great customer service. My experience overall was pretty good and no complaints. read more

I've been shopping for devices, accessories, getting service and repairs and attending workshops and classes at Apple Stores since the first opened in metro Atlanta at Lenox Square in 2001. Apple Retail has grown immensely and has been through many changes in style and procedure. I'm comfortable enough with the quality of the products and my own technological abilities to purchase online and figure out how to use them. (They are far more complex and less intuitive now, however.) As I said, I've been through many iterations. They've tried checkout lines, color-coding employee shirts based on their specialties, concierge shopping, extended store hours for repairs and learning, children's areas where you could park your kids at a low table with colorful Macs, theater seating with teaching videos and many things I've forgotten. I made my first visit to Avalon, to exchange my new Apple Watch. This was my first visit to an Apple Store in quite a while. I went to Avalon because I could get an appointment there. I didn't like the vibe at Avalon Mall. The Apple Store was unpleasant as well. First, the head of retail, Angela Ahrens, who came to Apple from the fashion industry, has decreed that employees may no longer wear lanyards with their names on the front and a pocket for business cards on the back. This makes employees interchangeable (whether Genius, Tech Advisor, Sales Associate or whatever else) and it becomes difficult to develop a relationship with anyone. The identical uniforms give no clue to whom you are speaking. Because the store has hundreds of employees, I imagine it's equally difficult for the employees to learn each others' names and what they do. This s a source of confusion for customers as they're being shunted from one person to the next with no understanding of what these different people do. There's a "You (the customer) don't need to know what's going on." Apple Stores were originally known for snooty, supercilious staff. I think Steve Job sand Ron Johnson,former head of retail, worked hard to make stores and products accessible and fun. Their work has been undone. The sea of dark,dark,dark navy shirts makes the room gloomy, broken dissonantly by large plastic Sesame Street-type shiny plastic stylized logos of various Apple Apps. The Avalon Store's outside walls are glass, but on a recent sunny day, the feel inside was depressing and poorly lit. Employees all seem about the same age and body type (slim) in contrast to 6-7 years ago when there was incredible diversity - before it was cool - people of every age, weight, shape, skin color and ethnicity. There were obvious (and not obvious) people of different sexual orientation, including transgender. There were people in wheelchairs, some with visible birth defects or neurological diseases. Apple was the world and everyone was part of it. The Avalon Store has some non-in-your-face racial diversity, all thin, appearing in their 20's and 30's, attractive by most standards, tattoos if any, covered. It is boring and depressing. I did not notice many women, at least I only interacted with young men. Maybe this is in deference to the monochromatic Stepford perfection of Avalon Mall and its location, the wealthy Republican suburb of Alpharetta, Georgia. Some of the atmosphere is Avalon, some of it is corporate, none of it welcoming or fun. I'm quite sure it's deliberate. Apple never does anything without deliberation. I won't be back, but that's fine. I'll continue to purchase online. I still love my Apple products and have no intention of using any other phone, tablet, or laptop. I love Apple's dedication to renewable energy and recyclable products. To me, that justifies the high prices. I also invested in AAPL years ago, so I've been repaid for the thousands I've spent. read more

Phenomenal Apple!! This is a new Apple Store. I'm very happy that they moved the Apple North Point to Apple Avalon because at the North Point Mall Store had very bad service. The store is HUGE and vey clean. The staff were nice and happy. I'm very satisfied with this location. I would definitely recommend this Apple Store! read more

Provided my daughter a quote to repair her MacBook (screen replacement), charged 160% of the quote, only $4 less than the price of a refurbished Macbook (same model and specs) and 50% the price of a new 2019 model. Do NOT buy the screen protectors. First one cracked and shattered within 24 hours. After much debate and attitude, replaced on premises. Now, less than 30 days later, the replacement has cracked. Obviously, with the $30+ you pay for shoddy materials, you can get 3-4 atTJ Maxx and be prepared for the inevitable.
