I arrived at this store with my gf and waited patiently for our turn around 45 minutes. We have gotten a lot of stares from the workers but they did not come up to ask if we needed assistance (why else would we be here). One co workers friend came in and got helped right away while we were here 30 minutes prior. This store employees do have an IQ of 12. I don't know who hires these employees but my baby brother could work here and possibly be better than any employee here. This is a very sad place with very minimal help. So if there were awards for worst AT&T store, this one would win. I'm not sure what type of people they are hiring these days or how poor their customer service training is, but this place was awful. They spent more time in the back watching their own phones and pretending they were trying to solve an issue for over 46mins, which is bordering on insanity. The two workers that were in today probably had a combined IQ of 12 and the warmth and friendliness of a rabid dog. Stay away. Writing this in hopes the district manager sees. On Friday Feb 27th, just after picking my son up from school (2 mins down the road) between 4:30/4:50 pm, I came to this location to replace my phone, as it had stopped working earlier that day. The store was quite busy, when I signed it there were 7 people ahead of me. I had my two small children with me, and they both are on the spectrum and have ADHD. While waiting, my children were getting restless and I felt they were causing a bit too much of a disturbance, so I brought them out to the car to wait, I periodically checked inside to see where I was in the queue. When I came up next I brought them back inside with me and waited for service. I was first in line in, the manager became available and started to ask everyone their names, deliberately passing me, and never asking mine... she proceeded to help a woman who came after me. I approached her to ask why this was, and why she didn't even bother to ask my name. She stated the woman she was helping was an online order, so she needed to be helped first. Another male associate became available, and again he asked everyone their name, skipping me, and settled on a man who was after me in the queue, he down with him and proceeded to start assisting him, I approach and ask why he didn't even bother to ask my name and why he was skipping me in the queue. He started to roll his eyes and me and he was obviously extremely annoyed by me, after a little back and forth, and the other customer letting him know it was alright to help me first, he sighs and in an unwilling tone says "what can we help you with". By this point it was clear I was being ignored and skipped over in fear that it would be difficult to service me, maybe because of my kids, I honestly have no idea why, and I don't think the justifications provided were enough to excuse me waiting until 6:46pm to then have to chase people down to ask why i'm being skipped in line. I waited patiently for my turn, I didn't bother anyone until it was blatantly clear I was being avoided. I left refusing assistance because in an establishment where I'm going to be spending money I don't want to be made to feel like I'm a hassle or burden. That manager "Shay" needs to work on her service skills, and learn to not discriminate against customers. The entire time I was there she was visibly annoyed, and did not smile once. I get having personal problems and feelings, but that should not have an affect on your professional capabilities, especially as the manager. read more

If I could leave less than 1 Star I would. I have never experienced such horrible customer service from someone who claimed to be the manager of the store. Joshay was terrible. I upgraded two phones online through the AT&T website, I had no issues. Purchased the upgrades, requested to pick up at the 7900 Northpoint location, paid and was instructed to wait for an email for them to be ready for pick up. My son was in closer proximity to the store, one of the phones upgraded was his, so he said he would go over after work to pick them up. I called the store and spoke to an employee that I did not get the name of, he very nicely told me that there would be no problem as long as he is an authorized user on the account. I double checked my account that he was an authorized user and waited for the email. Once I received the email my son went to pick up the phones. Upon arrived he walked in was never greeted wait 15mins, went to the counter and spoke to Joshay and said Hi, I am just here to pick up an online order. She rudely scoffed at him and said "well, you will just have to wait your turn like everyone else". My son was kind of taken back by this as he wasn't asking to be in front of anyone just stating his business there... so he waited 55 minutes, no one spoke to him, followed up with him, just made him wait. After the 55 minute wait he was approached by Joshay, he gave her the information she looked it up and told him he could not pick up the phones because there was a random fraud alert on the account. My son called me and explained the situation, I asked to speak to who he was dealing with. Joshay gets on the phone, she is clearly abruptly annoyed that I asked to speak with her. I said hello, I am just wanting to clarify what the hold is. Joshay said "there is a hold on your account, you will have to come into the store". I let her know that I was too far away and the store would close before I got there. I asked if I could call into customer service clear the hold. She said "no you have to come into the store, there is nothing I can do about it, it is what it is". I said well my son has waited 55 minutes, I called ahead of time to make sure it would be ok for him to pick these up, and I guess I need to speak with a manager, that is when she stated she was the manager and that there was nothing she could do about it. She then restated that I had to come to the store, then went on to say she could cancel my order and I could reorder it and have the phones delivered to me. This is when I got really confused because if there is a hold on my account how could I have them mail me phones over an authorized user on my account being physically present? hmm... so I then asked "well that doesn't make much sense, how can I have phones delivered to me, but I can't call customer service to clear this hold so that my son can pick up the phones since he is there"? She responded with "that's just the way it is". I said "ok, well may I have your name. She asked why, I said "because I am going to call customer service and I would like to let them know who I spoke to." Joshay responded with "my name is Shay" I said, "ok may I have your last name", she said "Umm no, I do not give my government name out to anyone". I responded with well if you are the manager of the store you should have no issues providing your name, but I assume the customer service representative will be able to see who access my account. Joshay responded with "we are going to end this conversation right here" and handed my son's phone back to him. My son then told me her name badge said Joshay not Shay. I told my son to just leave and I would call AT&T customer service to resolve the issue. After speaking with customer service, I was told I could have in fact just called and had the hold released, it was only a random fraud hold for customer security and that I should not have had such a hassle from Joshay, he also stated that the store was more than likely closing soon and Joshay just wanted to leave. The representative cleared the hold and had my phone ready for pick up at another location in less than 20mins. I reported this issue to AT&T customer satisfaction and they have Joshay's employee ID so I didn't need "her government name". I can not believe the horrible customer service, but after seeing the reviews of this location I guess a lot of customers have ran into Joshay, or representatives like her. It makes loyal customers not want to even deal with AT&T when this is the closest location to home and you do not want to even walk in to the door. read more

I purchased a phone, watch and accessories there is week. I asked if they could put the screen protector on the watch for me and was told absolutely, yes. When it arrived, I brought it in and KC put it on. She botched it! It's bubbling and there is all kinds of lint under it. I came back 2 hours later for her to be extremely rude to me, mumbling under her breath something about me not buying this from them. It was absolutely bought there and shipped to my house. She went on to argue that she wasn't supposed to apply it, but that she did it to be nice. The manager, Shawn, was just as bad! I visited this location today as sadly, my father passed away recently, and my mother wanted to make adjustments to the account with her Internet, TV and cell service. A task I certainly was not looking forward to. But that all changed when I was greeted immediately by Sean. I shared with him the circumstances and he showed great compassion while explaining to me the different plans that might work better for her at 88 years old. He was very well-versed in all of their products, made very good suggestions and went above and beyond to show me how to set it up once I was at her house. He put the streaming device on a monitor and patiently walked me through the entire process, programming it for me so that it would be user-friendly as I am not a whiz nor is she. I also had the opportunity to meet manager Shawn, (ironically, same name, different spelling), who was very friendly as well. I ran into a small snag once I got home. I called Sean and he patiently walked me through the issue and we were up and running in no time. Because of Sean's knowledge and professionalism, I also adjusted my account while I was there. I will certainly be a customer as long as they continue to employ folks as wonderful as Sean! read more

Requested a new phone through my company's corporate plan portal. Documentation is clear that there's an option to list an alternative person to pick up the phone. Entered my wife as the alternate who can pick up the phone. She and I both got an e-mail telling us the order was ready to pick up. She arrived and was told only I can pick it up unless I add her to the plan. The plan is a corporate account managed by the company I work for. I sent her my license, e-mails confirming the order and spoke with an employee and the manager and they still would not let her pick up the phone. Very frustrating and unhelpful. Reminded me that we visited the store years ago before going across the street to Verizon. Would not recommend this location. read more

I've been with AT&T since 2005. Generally, I haven't had any issues with their service (especially because I have Sprint-when-it-was-Sprint-before-it-was-acquired-by-TMobile PTSD, but that's a story for another day). I went to THREE different AT&T stories in the DFW area, and the service and attitudes at all three stores was awful. ME: I can't make or receive calls. THEM: Ok, let's see. THEM: Yep, you can't make calls. THEM: Replaces SIM card. ME: Umm, I still can't make or receive calls. THEM: ***shrugs*** WHAT? THAT'S IT? I was thisclose to dropping AT&T and going to Verizon, but I was in a different timezone, so I figured I'd try ONE MORE TIME. I went in the store and there was plenty of entertainment in the parking lot. Alpharetta PD was wrangling up some people who were, let's just say, distributing some illegal products. Despite all the entertainment in the parking lot, the gentlemen in this store were attentive, helpful, and figured out what was wrong with my phone. (*Side note, if you have an unlocked phone or do a lot of BYOD moves on your account because you lose/break phones all the time, beware...) Jorge was especially helpful in looking at my phone and trying quite a few troubleshooting steps, and eventually determined what the issue was with my phone. Too bad I had to travel over 800 plus miles to get the issue resolved, but oh well. I'm happy now that I have a working phone. AT&T - Jorge saved you a customer. We have been with AT&T for years! This was our go to store that has slowly declined to the point of our no return. The place is filthy and not cared for. I came to get a new phone, but some of the displays were greasy and untouchable. Display counters were visibly dusty and dirty. Display signs were crooked and smudged, some were empty. Only one client in the store with an agent, while others were chit chatting our day away. We finally received service when they noticed I was taking photos. He said he was the manager and I told him the store was filthy. He seemed indifferent and said their cleaner hadn't been there in two days. This is more than two days worth of dust, grime, spit and grease. Staff seemed to have plenty of time to pick up a spray bottle and maybe think about getting to work. Just plain sad. read more

This store is setting itself up for a major law suit. I visited this store to get a prepaid hot spot. They tried to sell me their hot spot box. I told them I already had one. The then tried to sell me a monthly plan. I told them specifically that I did not want a plan because I did not know how much data I would use. I was purchasing it for an new business venture that requires a separate hotspot. I specifically asked what the best prepaid plan wold be and the salesperson "Tee" gave me a gig number. I asked if I could use it until it ran out and re-up it until I understood my usage to which he said yes. I also asked if I could re-up on the fly if I am at an event and ran low...he said yes. Fast forward two weeks or so I get billed for this prepaid hotspot $35 for the set up and $6o+ for monthly service which I clearly told him I did not want. I called ATT immediately and they credited me but the very next month is now billing me again monthly for a service I told the salesperson more than once I did not want. Bait & Switch is real at ATT but then so is a potential law suit. read more

I went to a another AT&T Store for my upgrade and new phone. But the guy at that location was confused and was trying to sell me something and not very convincing that he knew what he was doing. (Dude didn't even have a name tag) I came to this location and I got everything I wanted and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Shaquon was all kinds of awesome. I told her what I wanted to do that day and what I needed and she gave me everything that I asked. For the record AT&T that "is" good customer service. This is the worst customer service I have ever received at a cell phone store. The manager and employee who did the cell phone screen protector exchange gave me a really hard time. We just purchased service through them 2 days ago, and the screen protectors we were sold did not allow us to use the screen as well as as should be able to. Either the staff assisting me was incompetent, or he purposefully gave me the wrong information. I asked about splitting off from my parents line and opening my own line. He told me they had to call in and give permission. My parents called and were told they didn't have to do that at all. He also told me there are no student discounts. After I left, I went online and check and there were definitely student discounts, and I definitely qualify. Don't trust these people and do your own research. This location is not worth doing business. Today went into this store which is store #10678. We came into the store for an upgrade on our iPhone. We were greated by the staff person Terry. We explained what we needed. He begin to assist us with looking at new phones. We then decided on a new phone. During this time a woman came into the store next and thr sales person Terry said to her someone will be right with her. Then 2 minutes later while we were looking at the 2 phone options, Terry then left us without saying anything to help this woman who by the way was caucasian, who was just buying a phone cover. I felt this was bad customer service on his part. I then brought it to his attention that you were helping us first and that she should wait her turn. At that point Terry stated she just needed a new phone case "you can wait" At that point I was somewhat disappointed in his customer service. He continued to help this woman that came in after me. I then stated that right is right and wrong is wrong with this. I asked him where was he from and he stared I'm from Mississippi and he asked where are you from I stated I'm from New York. His reply then was I can see why , which I felt a little perplexed with that reply. I then asked can someone else assist us then. At that point one of your regular sales persons Vince Brown who knows my family and has helped us many times prior when we came to this AT&T store inquire did we need help. We stated yes, we then begin to fill him in on the recent situation in what just happened. Then Mr Brown asked did we want to speak with a supervisor to inform home of what had happen. I then in turn stated yes. At that point the Supervisor on duty was Mr Chris Paul, who came out to greet us. We then explained the situation to him and his attitude after that was not of what a supervisor should say or do. He said okay I hear you and what should I do are you being helped now. I was so shocked and applauded with his customer service on this matter. I then stated to Mr Paul that thank you for nothing on handling the situation about your salesperson Terry. I then stated I know what I have to do I will reach out and file a possible complaint. Mr Paul attitude was whatever you need to do and walked back into the back to his office. Again I was in such disbelief of the customer service from this staff at this location. I wanted to walk out but needed my marrer to be handled. At that point Mr Brown that sales person was very helpful and very professional with getting us the new phone need. This experience at this location really left me with shocked on how people are treated here. I really hope that this store and its supervisor will get better customer service from your management staff. Your company is a major brand. I have also noticed that this store was review a few time on Yelp and the review have not be to favorable for this location. I hope this situation doesn't happen to anymore else in the near future. read more

I stopped into the North Point Pkwy location this morning because the battery on my sad little IPhone 5 finally died. I just wanted to know what my options were. The gentleman who helped me was a little bit condescending. He told me my ONLY option was to purchase a brand new IPhone 8. When I tried to ask him if I was eligible for a free or less expensive upgrade on an older model phone he told me "This is America, there ain't nothing for free". When I inquired about possibly switching to a Samsung product (hoping it's design was a little less disposable than my current Apple product) he brushed me off by telling me it made absolutely no sense for me to switch operating systems because I "came up with an IPhone". Anyway I decided to head over to an Apple store to price out just replacing the battery. He told me "You'll be back!". At the Avalon Apple store I found it would cost $79 plus tax to replace the battery, but they also had IPhone 6's and 7's available for a lower price so I was at least able to comparison shop a wider range of options. I then went across the street from the Avalon to the Old Milton Pkwy Atwater ATT store. The customer service experience here was completely different from the mediocre one at the North Point Pkwy store. I found out I was actually eligible for a buy one get one free deal to upgrade both my phone AND my husband's phone - an option that the gentleman at North Point never mentioned. The two young men who took care of my husband and I at the Atwater location were extremely professional and knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to give us the very best deal possible. We walked out happy with 2 brand new IPhone 8's for the same price the gentleman tried to "hard sell" me ONE at North Point Parkway. If you're an ATT customer do yourself a favor and skip this location. My retort to the gentleman who didn't really help me this morning is "Hell no, I won't be back!" and even in America if you shop around you CAN get something for free! read more

This is an ideal shop if you wanna make your career as a crook. They just about train you right. I was totally ripped by stores crook management and got sold on for BOGO plan offering one free phone if I cancel my existing service (Which was about to get expired for Internet and UVerse) and take it on my wife's name. Its been eight month and never got a penny back for my free IPhone. Everytime I call their office the Manager is either at lunch or stepped out. What a great job I tell ya!!! Great buying experience. John and Alicia (the managers) were GREAT. We were given to Dana Bethea to assist us with our transaction. We needed to return a new but faulty Note 4, changed it for a Note 5, added a line for a Lumia and Microsoft Surface. Moved around some numbers and phones on our account... all kinds of activity on our account, but Dana was a real PRO and took care of everything, and did so with a friendly, happy, professional attitude. We have been with AT&T for 25 years and without a doubt, this was the best purchase / upgrade experience we have had. This store is AWESOME! Stay away from the Cumming Market Place store and come here. This store is light years ahead of Cumming when it comes to knowledge and customer service and friendliness. Made an appointment to upgrade my phone. Checked in before my appointment time. Finally, 25 minutes after said appointment time someone finally tried to help me. All I wanted to do was up grade my phone to a Samsung S8. I had chosen this store because the online system indicated they had these phones in stock. By the time it was my turn, I was informed that they didn't have any (none of the 3 colors were available) but I could travel up to Johns Creek to get one. Right, like that's convenient. So the salesman told me I could order the phone online and then bring it in or call him(he wasn't working there by the time my phone arrived) to get help setting it up. So, I brought my new phone and old phone in at about 8PM on a weekday to get help with transferring everything. The store was virtually empty, but i got the impression I had interrupted the customer service rep's "movie time" and he really wasn't happy about being bothered to actually do his job and help me.
