Omg.. where do I begin? So I was in the market for a phone upgrade and needed to switch carriers. I didn't get acknowledged till about 20 mins of standing looking at the employees. Then I was told there would be someone ready for me to talk to in about 15 -20mins. I was like okay, I've invested this much time let me wait for someone. Fast forward 25 mins later so NOW im here 45 mins into this process I get a mediocre apology for the wait. Im done at this point, I wanted to leave, but didn't want to be rude. I swear there was 2 customers who walked in after me and where already starting the process before I was without an appointment!! To make things more ridiculous the lady who was assisting me, didn't know anything about Verizon's different plans, hands me the phone so I can read up on the plans and select one. You would think the employees are somewhat trained on the carriers if they are allowed to connect you with multiple carriers, anyways just about when we are getting ready to finish the lady steps away comes back 2 mins later then proceeds to tell me that the carrier needs to verify my identity and that therefore she needed to cancel the transaction. This store is a complete joke. I suggest you go elsewhere for your business, if you value your time. read more

I was surprised about the lack of more efficiency when it came to phone repairs, purchasing items and overall just trying to get help. Me and my mother set an appointment for 4:50pm to fix the speaker of her phone, we show up about 5 minutes early and where not attended by an apple care worker until 5:20. By the time we got help and my moms phone got taken back to be repaired they let us know to come back at 7:45pm. When we arrived back, they let us know "sorry but we were actually working on the wrong problem instead of the problem you told us your phone had so we need another hour come back at 8:45pm". Already annoyed me and my mom decided to wait. In the mean time TADI helped me buy a MacBook, he was one of the only very attentive workers, sweet, funny, helpful, informative and just great energy. By the time 8:45pm comes, they told us we needed to wait another 15 minutes. By the way they close at 9pm so as the team was closing doors and cleaning up me and my mom were still there. Finally a worker comes out @9pm to let us know that they will just give my mom a brand new phone because they were never able to figure out the problem. It was truly a waste of time and apple geniuses are not so genius is what I have learned from this overall experience. read more

Went in with my girlfriend to get her son's IPOD touch fixed. She forgot her son's password for the Apple ID and we were unable to use the device. All the tech support guy could give me is a website to go to in order to schedule a CALL with a tech support person that may or may not be able to help us. What type of customer service model is this? You mean to tell me there is no way to reset a password and my device is potentially a brick now just because of that? Forcing us to buy another device when ours works perfectly fine. Horrid. Lastly, what type of service requires you to send me away with a card with a Web address written on the back? Get on one of the 40 PC'S (or your ipad) and set my appt with me! You don't send a client home to figure it out on their own. That's the whole point of your position as TECH Support! I had an appointment for a screen repair, and I Arrived early and I couldn't check in until it's the time, so don't even arrive early, in most apple stores you can check in at least 10-15 min early. And then the rep proceeded to say I needed to go back to my carrier store, and tell them to add Apple Care. Which I had provided proof of insurance with my bill. Which I understand processes change, but I asked to further elaborate and all I got was an idk.... I am both a former carrier employee and Apple employee, Genius Bar exactly. And I proceeded to provide feedback and rep was not receptive at ALL. I was trying to advice that by not providing clear instructions on what do to, was a bad experience. And he was and her kept saying idk. SO IN SUMMATION DONT COME to this Apple Store, make the trip to Scottsdale Fashion Square, the customer service and explanations are better and it's just a better experience overall. read more

BEWARE OF WHAT THEY TELL YOU! I have had two terrible experiences with Apple, both at this location. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR DATA AND WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE. The first happened when my phone stopped working and it was still under warranty. I went in and I was actually interested in upgrading my phone while I was at it. The girl who "helped" showed no interest in my trying to upgrade and she took my phone to the back. She came out with a "new" phone (not packaged) in one hand and my old phone in the other. I asked her if I could keep my old phone with me while I set up the new one to make sure all of my stuff had synced. She said that it should be on there and walked away in a hurry with my old phone still with her. I set up the "new phone" there in the store and of course, nothing had synced in months and now all of my stuff was gone. I had been thrown a phone and then pushed aside. I later find out the phone she gave me was refurbished. Okay, so I bought a new phone and when it stop working, Apple gives me a used one? What gives? The second incident happened when we came back from vacation and my husbands phone suddenly stopped charging and wouldn't turn on. We took many pictures of our toddler on the trip and we didn't want to lose those pictures. After unsuccessfully trying to make an appointment online (the next appointment was a week away) we decided to just go to the store and try. They told us that they were fully booked but that they could add us to a waitlist and would text us if something became available and to just hang out until the store closed at 9pm. That meant waiting 3 hours at the mall for maybe a chance to be seen but it was a not a certainty. We never received a text and went back to the store before it closed. There were plenty of available employees chatting with each other and one of them decided to help us. He took the phone to the back to "run a test", he came back out and told us that it was not the battery and that the phone was dead and that all that they could do was replace it. We told him that we didn't want to lose those pictures and he assured us that the iCloud should have backed up. We told him that since we had been out of town, we were not on WiFi so it did not back up. He said all they could do was replace it. We took the phone with us and decided to try somewhere else. The next day we went to a privately owned third party store who tested the battery in under 10 minutes and turned on the phone!!! It was the battery!!! That was it! And the "geniuses" couldn't even bother to replace it! Seriously, such a jerk move to suggest just replacing phones when they can easily fix it. We mentioned several times that we had photos on the phone that were important to us, THEY DIDN'T CARE and they lied to our faces and told us that nothing could be done. This store doesn't care about its customers even when they are ready to spend money there. I know that this will not affect Apple as the store is always jam packed and they don't need my business but I want to warn others not to listen to them if they tell you that nothing else can be done about your phone. Take it somewhere else where they will be honest and will actually take the time to help you. read more

Slowest Apple Store!!! These guys take forever for anything and are horribly unorganized. Appointments often are an hour or more late and although I love apple products, I am NOT impressed with the "geniuses" that work here....I would highly recommend going to a different Apple Store. read more

In Nd out...almost....seems like they were behind... I had an appointment, but I still had to wait about 15 minutes...but good things come to those that wait: I was able to replace my iPhone cord for free. Even though they were busy, I still felt comfortable as I browsed the displays of the ne iPads and iPad minis. I also browsed the accessories department...too, too, too many new shiny objects...hahahhaha I noticed that the One to One tables were busy also. I will probably always be a Mac user for this one reason: I can ALWAYS get help with my systems. My only complaint is that the locations are so few and far between in this Valley of the Sun... read more

I'm not sure how Apple corporate allows their employee's here to be compulsive liars. I was in the store one day working with "Dave". He returned my laptop to me and there was an issue with it, I came back into the store within 15 minutes and asked to speak with "Dave" again. The person said "Oh, he actually will be helping this couple at the genius bar next, I'll let him know you're here". I waited around and asked the person about "Dave" again. She then goes to tell me that he is off. I then replied to her and said "You just told me that he was going to help the couple out here on the floor". She goes to the back and then says that he is busy working on a laptop. Second time. I called and asked to speak with their store manager "Brad". The person who picked up the phone, "Thang", said that he is off today. I then told him that I was at the store not too long ago and was there speaking to "Brad". He then tells me that he came in to work at 3:30pm and that he is off. I told "Thang" that I was there at 3:30pm and I was there speaking to "Brad". He then comes back and asks me for a last name because there are multiple "Brad" that works there. I gave him the last name and he said "Let me radio him to see if he is on the floor". He comes back on the phone and tells me that he is in a meeting at 4:45pm, and that he is the closing manager tonight. How can you believe a store when all they do is constantly lie to you. read more

Floor service was great and check in was easy. The wait was not long as I had an appointment. Say down and was not acknowledged by my rep while he typed for several minutes. I'm more upset over the customer service and the response than I am having a dead phone. My screen was lifting and I was told by several and from apple forums that even past warranty they should fix or replace at no cost. I was told I would have to purchase new phone. I said so this is an apple issue? ... No it's a battery issue. No..... You make the battery this way knowing this is a potential issue and then state it's not your problem. I scheduled a appt cause I didn't want to be waiting, I had a little window to fix my phone that it should it be broken to begging with, I walk in,and they make you go to the line just to check in ( 10 mins ) once you are checked in, they send you to a table to wait more!!!! What's the purpose of scheduling a appt????? I am an Apple geek so I am biased. Apple products are well made and generally "just work" as they say. When there's a problem, there's plenty of help in store at the genius bar. This particular store gets pretty crowded and busy quite often. Sometimes the wait just to make a quick purchase or complete your genius bar appt. can be long. A nice feature on their mobile app is that you can purchase off the shelf items with your phone and just leave the store with them, not needing to wait for a person to check you out. read more

Maybe the folks at the 800 number reservation line should find out the location is not outside the mall in the loop but inside the Arrowhead Mall. After driving around for about 30 minutes Christmas week I was told by a lovely shopper crossing the street that I had to go inside the mall. "Sigh! Go in the mall?" Are you serious? Me go into a mall a few days before Christmas? Okay, and oh well, so in I go. I did and the store was reeee-dinki---dink packed. Even with a reservation it took forever. I know I know, every apple store is packed you say? Yes, I get it. It sure is the downside of owning a MAC. Service here was just okay nothing to write home about. I find the service better at my old hood in the Biltmore. I wasn't sure the woman who helped me really knew what she was doing though. She sounded unsure of herself and lacking confidence. I felt uncomfortable around her. Maybe I am just mad that my laptop is going to cost a fortune to fix, Ha-Ha or rather, Boo-Hoo! However, while I was waiting though there was one worker there helping an older gentleman. I observed that she was really great. There is no comparison between the apple iphones and android cell phones in my opinion. Iphones have nice and simple to use applications that even a child can learn. Another feature I love about Iphone is apple pay, it keeps your credit card information in your apple wallet so when a merchandiser accepts apple pay, it is one or two clicks and it's that easy your done with the check out. One last main point I wanted to mention is the resale price of apple phones is so good, you can keep your phone for a year or two and still sell it for at least half of what you paid for it or more. The choice is easy for me, when deciding what cell phone to purchase I will choose an Apple Iphone every time. read more

Amazing store. I had issue with my phone that was repaired improperly in Scottsdale quarters. They give us an estimate time to wait (around an hour) and we had time to cruise the mall. The customer service was very poor! We have to ask someone to help us buy a product and then we still were told to wait. During our wait, there was an available Apple employee by us who started talking to an employee who had clocked out, instead of helping out customers. We decided to leave after we saw two other Apple employees just decided to stand, instead of help out the customers. During our wait no Apple employee helped us purchase the item we came in for. Am I allowed to write anything negative against The all Mighty Apple?? Probably not so I will give them a good review.lol. I just recently purchased a Imac after years of debating. I was scared to make the switch from PC to Mac but I'm so glad I finally did! I do a lot of car photography with editing in LR4 and PS5 and the Mac is the only way to go. When I purchased my Mac I also purchased a year of One to One, basically Mac classes. This is the closet Apple store to me and I've been coming here a few times a week for classes. I had always had a good experience with the trainers and anyone else that works here. It does get super busy on weekends though, but you can still move around. read more

I came in to check out an unlocked iPhone, because I need to buy an unlocked phone for traveling overseas. The place was jam packed and there looked to be about 20 people working today. Regardless of the chaotic appearance, I was helped almost immediately and given excellent customer service. Juan was my sales assistant and is much of the reason I will return to buy their products (as soon as I'm ready to turn to the dark side). If you are looking for products, or need assistance, this store is your go-to place. Get rid of the angst of walking through a mall full of millenniums. Cool stuff but takes a VERY long time to be seen for "appointment" to fix a new iphone. Been dealing with it since 2pm. A5 fists appointment was for about 4pm, then it said 4:30 pm and now it's almost 5pm and still waiting. We were told there is still 7 people ahead of us, wth? I think Apple can spring for more employees or not over book by several hours. Okay, it is 5:30 and we are still sitting in the store waiting for our appointment...this is ridiculous. read more

Going to the Apple Store is one of my favorite things to do. They have most of their products on-hand for you to touch and completely play with before purchasing. I own pretty much every product in the store because the quality is excellent & you actually get what you pay for. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than other computer stores or random middle-of-the-walkway cell phone case kiosks, but to me it's more than worth it. If you want personalized attention, book a shopping appointment. I would also recommend to book that appointment on a late week night or early morning; this store on weekends is an absolute zoo and it is really hard to get to the products you want or even think straight when it's crowded. I know that's out of the employees hands, so just be sure to book appointments during non-peak days and hours to get a super personal experience. The employees that will help you for your shopping appointment are great: they are friendly and know the products well so they will be able to answer your questions and point you into the right direction. The Genius Bar (tech support) is excellent. I've used it a couple of times for my MacBook Pro & iPhone and they have always solved my problems very fast and friendly. They know what they are doing and go straight to the point, all with a smile. They go above and beyond to fix your tech issues and do whatever they can to help you out. Just a reminder that you do have to make an appointment with the Genius Bar so be sure to make the appointment online before you go into the store. The only reason why this store is getting 4 stars instead of 5 is that the store is very small and gets crazy busy on weekends. It's also kind of difficult to purchase a product on a weekend if it's super busy & you don't have a shopping appointment since there are no cash registers to walk up to and the employees usually have their hands full. read more

I have always had good experiences at Apple, but unfortunately I did not have the best experience this past visit. I had a simple tech issue with my iphone and it simply needed to be "rebooted". I am upset with my visit, because the tech gave me incorrect information regarding photostream. He said that all my pictures should be saved on it if backed up on icloud. However, when he rebooted my phone only 130 pictures out of the 600 I had came up. I showed the tech and he assured me that they would download throughout the day. This tech was helping someone else at the same time as helping me, to which I feel that should he have paid better attention to my tech issue, he may have caught it and restored the camera roll pictures. Would I have known about photostream, I of course, would not have left and would have insisted on them fixing it then, but I stupidly trusted the "tech" They never appeared again. I spoke with apple support on the phone and informed me that Photostream only keeps pictures from the last 30 days. I trusted the tech and assumed my pictures would come back. I also trusted icloud to serve as my backup. I returned to apple and had Rick help me out. He was really nice and simply gave me advice to always back up on iTunes and my computer. I just wish the first tech would offered this advice. My pictures are totally gone now and there is nothing I can do at this point. Moral of the story: Don't fully trust techs, research and always back up important docs twenty different ways. Icloud is sketchy. All in all, I wasn't happy at all and am quite bitter to losing 550 pics. read more

Knowing what I want to buy going in I approached and employee told him I knew what I wanted to buy and push me off the side guided me to the table and I waited, and waited. I saw the employee approached a manager but kept on waiting seeing other employees just stand around still on wait. I have never in my life been treated so terribly by a manager in a store and I certainly would not expect this behavior from Apple. I've had an ongoing issue with a laptop and have gotten the run around for weeks. The store tells me one thing, the care solutions team tells me another, and apparently no one is documenting into the incident ticket. I've taken hours off from work, spend hours on the phone, and I have Apple Care. No where in this state is there a mask mandate, not a restaurant, not a movie theatre, not even my doctor's office. But the Apple store does, so fine, I oblige bc I need my laptop fixed. My mask is on my face covering my nose and when I talk my mask slips down from mid nose to the tip of my nose, STILL COVERING MY NOSE/NOSTRILS, and this manager interrupts me several times to tell me to pull my mask up right under my eyes and pinch it tight and refuses to help me until my mask stays there. Are you kidding me? I walked out. I will not be treated that way! read more
