Roger thanks for the great customer service and expert advice. I've been using Batteries+ since 2015. Wasn't crazy about using a business selling batteries for a living. I was forced in there by my buddy who had been a long time customer and spoke highly about their customer service, warranties and expert advice. I've been shopping here since. I've yet to have an employee not know their batteries and always have solutions without trying to sell me a new battery. A new battery is last on the list. I appreciate that very much. This time around brought me in for a battery I thought I was properly maintaining with a trickle charger. Well, it's not totally gone but getting close. The verdict after they ran all test etc. Roger then tells me he can check my battery tender maintainer to ensure it's working properly. Yup, you guessed it. When I brought him my tender he immediately went into battery ninja mode, did his test and determined it was not doing anything. I know you're thinking he went into sales mode and sold me an overpriced battery maintainer but he didn't. I did buy one and he didn't talk trash about my 5 dollar harbor freight one. Side note. Loved the service that we got here! I used their cell phone repair service twice. Same day service--I got my phones back in less than 2 hours. The service is not cheap: $99 after tax and coupon, but you don't have to send your phone away and get it back in a week. You are paying for the convenience and quick turn around. I picked up some industrial batteries AAs and AAA batteries which will work with my controllers for under $4 per pack. They say they don't last as long as Rayovac, Duracell or Energizer, but they are perfect for controllers which you want to change often because you don't want the batteries to dissolve and disintegrate. They couldn't fix my computer, but referred me to a good computer repair shop. Tip: Go online and book a time, you get $10 off the service. read more

I called this location before I drove here all the way here from Tempe (30 minutes drive) and they said they have the lights bulbs I was looking for and once I got here the lady Alexys said they don't have it or they weren't able to find them and Alexys the girl that answered the phone the first time she said my boss is off today I don't want to call him and bother him asking where the light bulbs were. I have stopped here many times over the past several years. Manly, it was a drop off old batteries for recycling. However, they do have a wide selection of batteries, including special type batteries. You may pay a little bit more for the batteries here, but at least you don't have to run all over the place to try to find it. When crowded, the service can be on the slow side. But, overall I find them to be very helpful. And, the last time I got a car battery here, they installed it for me. So, I thought that was a pretty good thing, even if I did have to wait a little bit for the service. read more

I would, I am so angry I brought my iPhone 6 to them to change out the battery to have it stop working days later then bring it back to have them say they were not sure why it went out that maybe I needed a apple charge. Which I was using, well they said they changed out my screen and my charging port and who knows what else. Well after all that it still did not work. I took the phone to apple to find out that they did not replace the charging port, I was missing screws and plates and there were connection that were either in the wrong place or not connected at all. Like really what the hell, either you need new techs or ditch the whole repair benefit of your company because now I am not only out of the money I paid out so you could mangle my phone i was out time and frustration for nothing. So I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen. I was told that they could repair it and it would take 20-30 minutes. I dropped my phone off for repair at 10:30, and was told it would not be ready until noon. When I got there to pick it up, they hadn't even started to work on it. They could have called me, but they didn't. I had to wait an hour before they were done. On top of all that, they messed up the repair. Anytime I press the home button, to close an app or whatever, Siri is activated instead... One of the worst repair experiences ever. read more

So my iPhone screen cracked. I didn't have a warranty and didn't want to buy a new phone. I called the apple store and they wanted $60 more, plus I would have had to drive there and wait in line. I purchased the wrong battery from them for my home alarm system (my mistake) and by the time I returned to exchange it in a week, I had managed to lose both the receipt AND the CC I used to purchase said battery (bonehead move, I know). They offered me store credit, but there was nothing I needed so I asked if there were any way they could give me a refund. They diligently worked though their computer system to track down my purchase and refund me my moolah. The rep broke the glass face and when I questioned him about the cracks, the rep suggested that I go to a jeweler and have it repaired. not once did the rep admit fault and at least attempt to help repair the item. Well I took my iPhone to het fixed and they said it'll be finished within a hour. I was surprised to get a call about 15 mins later that it was done. I went in 9/4 @3pm to get my iPhone 6plus screen replaced. I picked up my phone and noticed in the corner the phone was a lot lighter when the phone was on..... little by little that part of the screen is feathering out with little cracks and so I called today 9/26 @545 pm and explain the issue..... I was told that I would need to repay the $150 to get it fixed because "they always check their work and it couldn't of been their mistake" I say that's crap customer service.... Just an awful experience with this store all around. Poor products that the store doesn't stand by, and lying managers (Brandon). I have 3 security cameras that each take 4 3V batteries. They needed replacement, so I went to Batteries Plus Bulbs in Avondale. When I went in, they sold me a 12 pack of Streamlight (the only brand they had) 3V batteries for $29.99. These batteries lasted less than a week, whereas the Duracell/Energizer equivalents last 3-4 months. I had switched the batteries in only two of my cameras, so I still had 4 unused batteries. Rather than use them, I decided I would try for a refund since the batteries that I bought were pretty much useless. I went in to the store and they told me they would be happy to help, but were bound by corporate rules. They gave me a phone number to call, and said customer service would offer me a resolution. I called the number, and they told me they couldn't help because the store was a franchise, and therefore any decisions like this would be made by the owner. They said they would reach out to the owner and get back to me. Today customer service called me back and told there was nothing to be done because some of the batteries had been used.This is nonsense. A store should stand by its product. If I had bought these same batteries on Amazon (for much cheaper), they would have instantly refunded my money. So I wasted $30, and I'm not happy about it. However, the whole reason I'm writing this review is that the customer service rep. told me that a manager named Brandon had told them that after I visited the store, I proceeded stand in front of the store for half an hour telling customers not to buy from Batteries + Bulbs. As if I have the time or the energy to do something like that. I wasn't even angry yet at the time of my visit. I was just planning to call the number they gave me. But anyway, I am not a child. I write reviews like any other normal adult. I am quite certain Brandon fabricated this lie to gain support from customer service to not refund my money. I wish I could give zero stars to this place I am so angry. It's Thursday night and I badly needed a special type of rechargeable C battery for a project due on Friday - it had to charge overnight 12 hours or so. It was about a half hour until closing and I hurried the 15 miles or so and arrived at exactly 3 minutes until 8pm (closing time). My watch is super accurate synced with the atomic clock in CO. They had already closed the door EARLY and were sweeping the floor. I knocked on the door and told them they closed early and I just badly needed a special battery. They looked right at me and said "closed" - and would not open the door and help me out. Now in my book I expect that when a store says on their front door open until 8pm that they are actually open until 8pm. I will never give this retail store my business and I hope you don't either. Steer clear of this business. Took my iPhone to have a cracked screen replaced. They want you to make an appointment online for 10$ discount. So they now have you phone # and email. In the store they also want your phone password (DO NOT EVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR PASSWORD!) With this info they would have complete access to your phone. I told the employee that I did not want to give that information. When I did she got a little snippy. They then have you sign paperwork saying that if the screen does not work after they fix it then there is no warranty. I asked the employee that if all of the other functionality on the phone was working besides the cracked screen would the screen repair work, she replied that she does not know because I would not let her access my phone. At that point I left the store without using their service. Order a new phone or a kit that you can replace the screen yourself for about $45. read more
