I like what they do overpower it with sauce and the crust was crisp and good. Not too thick not too thin. I do wish they put a little bit more cheese. The pepperoni sauces was really spicy. I added extra pepper flakes on top which was a mistake. The slices together across $11 and change. Couldn't finish the second slice. Usually I like to eat the whole crust so for me that was too much food! No issues with counter suit is everyone was primated. Parking is on the street. Highly recommend! read more

This pizza is mediocre, I only purchase it if I'm hungover, drunk or if it's super late because they are legit always open I feel.

Very nice staff with great knowledge of all the different slices that you can order. They all looked delicious so we ordered 4 slices, but 3 get one free. My first choice is usually a white pizza veggie slice. I don't know what kind of sauce, not cheese they use as their base, but it is sickly sweet. The other 3 slices also had that sugary base flavor. I know manufacturers add sugar to too many products now to enhance the flavor? It's too much for me, Anyways, just my opinion. read more

We were able to have our party accommodated quickly, however there was only one server working this Saturday afternoon shift. We were told that they were printing new menus, so some of the pricing on there was incorrect, which was confusing. You can pay by slice, but you have to get up and go choose which one you want. I was in town visiting Brown University and stopped by Antonio's. They were accommodate my party quickly and had our order ready in about 10 min. We ordered the vegetarian pie topped with tomatoes, onions, olives, mushrooms, and basil. The pizza was good but not something I am used to, considering I live in NY. It seemed that the veggies were put on after the pizza was baked so they were cold while the dough, sauce, and cheese were warm. Only got to try the white pizza with ricotta and it was very tasty, though quite greasy and one slice only was the equivalent of an entire pizza I would have eaten in Italy. However, I still enjoyed the experience of " pizza al taglio" or pizza by the slice and would come again in the future. Out and about last Sunday and decided on a whim to order a Pizza from their location on Wickenden St, on the corner of Point St. ordered takeout but they have a couple of booths in there. Checking out the pizzas behind the glass looked great but my meatball and Roni was excellent. Nice char on the underside and a wickedly good crisp crust but soft and tender inside. But considering it's actually pretty much 5 star pizza (by New England standards) then it's very pleasing indeed, and with nice service too, surprisingly. Antonio's, in conclusion, is definitely one of the better examples of Pizza in the New England area. This was such a good pizza place that I found as I was just walking up and down Thayer Street and enjoying the weather. I was happy to see that they sold pizza by the slice because that was all that I wanted to buy. I felt like I was in New York City where there are plenty of places you can buy nice fresh pizza by the slice. I went in and noticed that they had so many kinds of pizza. It was really hard to decide what I wanted because they all look so good. I decided on an eggplant and red pepper slice and I was so happy that I made that choice. They heated it up in the oven for a few minutes and gave it to me in a box to take out. I drove to the local park and sat and enjoyed my pizza. Wanted to grab a slice and was not disappointed. The slices are huge and about 3$ for a specialty. Parking is usually always tough on Thayer street so if you're in a major rush, good luck! Antonio's was the first RI pizza parlor I'd seen awhile back that precooked and displayed numerous varieties of pizza. The offerings are creative, and generally very tasty. Crusts are extremely good too. Maybe I just came back on an off night tonight. Regrettably, when my slices were reheated in the large pizza ovens they somehow didn't seem to get heated all the way through; the cheese got soft and stretchy but the slices didn't have that "hot pizza fresh from the oven" gooey mouth feel. The Thayer Street shop is bare bones, with a very narrow row to walk down to look at what's been cooked that day & then chose your slices. It's a narrow aisle, and if it's crowded the walk back up to pay gets super squished as other customers are in the way. There are several high top table around, but it's designed as an eat and go place. There's also a sit-down Antonio's about 2 1/2 miles away in Pawtucket that's a bit cozier - and that offers excellent salads and a full bar. read more

Quite an institution per my wife and for very good reason! We stopped by for a quick dinner during reunion weekend and our slices hit the spot without being at all overly greasy. Antonio's is known for their expansive and unique selection of toppings including avocado quesadilla, tortellini white/red and grilled chicken with onions and blue cheese. These were the slices we picked up and we both thoroughly enjoyed the combinations of flavors on the surprisingly thin and lightly crispy crust.
