Yes, yes, yes, I have been slacking with reviews lately but I promise I'm going to do better lol. I haven't been to this place in a very long time and I use to get it back when I was living in Providence like 8 years a go. On to the review! I placed a pick up order while stuck in this great traffic we have now because the great bridge. I walked in and was met by the friendly owner. I asked about the order and he politely said 10 minutes please. They had some nice music playing and the place was very clean inside also. The place is small with only 4 tables but I'm sure being a pizza place the majority of what they do is pick up and yes they do deliver. The first pie I tasted was the my classic go to Pizza Francesca. It was piping hot and had a nice crisp, the mushrooms and prosciutto seemed very fresh and the sauce had a very nice flavor profile to it. Yummy!!! The second pie was their Shrimp pizza, again hot and fresh and it has a very pleasant white sauce and the shrimp also tasted fresh. Yummy!! The third pie which is one of my favorites, the Cajun Chicken. This pie has so much great flavors between the spicy (not too spicy) bits of banana peppers and salty green olives and the awesome bbq sauce and the fresh chicken. Yummy!!!!! I think this pizza place is underrated and is a hidden gem on the east side of Providence. I did get to talk to the new owner as the place was sold to him 6 years ago and I gave him a compliment that the place hasn't changed at all because I have ordered from here maybe a year ago and everything was the same which is a great thing!!! If you want a consistent great pizza with a bunch of different fresh options to put on it then you have to order from here!!! Great job to the new owner! I will be back soon. read more

This is one of my husband's favorite pizza joints in the area. They make a great pesto pizza, which we have gotten many times, but they also have many other varieties with different types of cheeses, meats and veggies. Ordered the spinach pie with cheese. There was so much spinach to this pie! I had to cut it in half, it was such a wealth of spinach. Can't find the cheese though, that was a small disappointment. The cost was bearable and the manager was friendly enough if a little harried, Friday night 7:30pm, delivery orders were going out as I picked up in the restaurant. The spinach was lightly seasoned and came with a small container of marinara. I will definitely go again. I'm back to say, I found the cheese, it was in my lactose intolerant partners box! Miss labeling the contents is a big oops for me. He couldn't eat his so I had to manage two full calzones in a short time, not favorable! read more

I had Pizza Pie-er located on Wickenden Street for the first time and it definitely won't be my last. Pizza Pie-er menu has appetizers, salads, calzones, wraps, speciality pizzas, lite-er pizzas that low in fat and high in protein, vegan and gluten free pizza, the option to create your own pizza, and dessert pies. There are 3 different pizza sizes-personal, medium, and large. Also, there are eleven different sauces to choose from and four types of crust. At 7:56pm, I used the website to put an order for pick-up. I was able to find street parking easily and walked in. On a Friday night, the staff were very busy. There were a few tables inside and they were occupied. The delivery man was running around. I went to the cashier to let him know I was here for pick-up, but he asked me politely to wait while he picked up the phone call. At 8:20pm, just waiting in the restaurant for a few minutes, I got my pizza box and the pizza smelled so good. I ordered a medium Pizza al Noci. This pizza has a whole wheat crust with walnut sauce, signature cheese blend, mushrooms and spinach. Walnut sauce is ground walnuts, olive oil, garlic and parmesan and we like all those so we thought we would try it. We did not regret our decision at all. This pizza was delicious. I am looking forward to trying their other speciality pizzas. read more

Mediocre pizza, reminiscent of pizza at children's birthday parties or the free pizza at work/school events. I would not go here especially when surrounded by much better options in Fox Point. The dough itself is very chewy and bland, and while the toppings were plentiful I could not enjoy it due to the texture of the pizza itself. read more

Delicious! I order Pizza Pie-er on Grubhub for the first time and I will definitely be a returning customer. I got two personal pan pizzas, mozzarella sticks, and cinnamon sticks. It was very affordable (cheaper than a lot of the competition around Brown's campus and the best food I've had since I've arrived in RI. I ate the cold pizza the next day for dinner and it held up well! Everything was packaged well, and I especially liked the option to order personalized mini pizzas! Next time, I want to go in-person, so I can experience the energy of the restaurant and personalities of the servers. I work for a small nonprofit that oversees a pretty comprehensive holiday drive supporting 2500 kids. We loved to order from here in the past to feed our small but mighty team. When I ordered 4 pizzas for delivery I was told an hour. At the 2 hour mark, I called and the manager proceeded to yell at me about my large order, them being busy and needing a days notice for orders this big. 1. I'm busy too! 2. Communication is key. 3. Yelling at customers is not acceptable 4. I use to place bigger orders than 4 pizzas when I worked at Brown and had no issues. If 4 pizzas is a big order, maybe you are in the wrong business. Another staff member here mentioned they had the same issue when they ordered recently. Sounds like you need to learn to communicate better. read more

I hadn't thought about pizza pie-er in years. I saw it on grub hub and they have a ton of veggie options. I love a wrap filled with veggies or salad so I gave it a try. So glad I did. My husband and I have ordered there pretty much every other night for the past 2 weeks. So many options and everything is so good. Great healthy wrap and salad options. They even have a thin healthy pizza. The Mediterranean lite pizza with goat cheese added is awesome. Love the veggie d-liter wrap and Greek d-liter wrap. How Not to Do Customer Service: Okay, I will admit that I made the first mistake. I ordered a medium pizza with anchovies on my phone (via Door Dash) for delivery. The order went through before I was able to place a note that the anchovies were only to be on one-half of the pizza. As soon as the order went through, I realized my mistake. I immediately called Pizzapier. I was placed on hold by a member of the staff - waited 5 minutes before I realized no one was going to pick up my call. I called again, had to wait for about 3 minutes before another staff member picked up. I told him my issue, and that I needed to change my order to half Cheese / half Anchovy. He said "No Problem!". Great! I get a ping from Door Dash in ten minutes that they are on their way. Great! Door Dash gets there, and when I bring the pizza up to the kitchen, I open the box, and, of course, the Pizza is all anchovies. I immediately call Pizzapier, and after another 3-5 minute wait (they're busy, good for them, I get it), the guy who told me it was "No Problem" answered the phone. I told him that the order was prepared wrong, and I needed a replacement. He told me that after my phone call, he told the kitchen but they said it was too late as the pie had already gone in the oven, and there was nothing to be done. (Did they call me back to tell me that? No.) I told him that was unacceptable (I am a multiple repeat customer), and he answered that by hanging up the phone on me. That, of course, was more than annoying - so I called back, this time I got another Staff Member. I explained the problem to him and he said it wasn't their problem, it was Door Dashes. I said "Your guy told me it would be taken care of and that there was 'no problem', so at that point, imho, its Pizzapier's problem". He answered that by hanging up the phone on me too. Seriously Pizzapier, thats how you do customer service? On a side note, the Pizza with Anchovies was good (but my 8-year-old daughter wouldn't eat her half [which was the only reason I ordered today]), but the french fries we ordered on the side were soggy. Pizzapier, please give us a reason to give you another try. read more

Visiting the Providence area this past weekend and, through my fellow yelpers, decided to give this place a try. We ordered the pesto 4-cheese blend(added pepperoni) pizza with a salad. She loves goat cheese. Myself would get just about anything other than that or a Hawaiian. Had a great pizza here years ago and decided to get the honey goat cheese pizza for her. Cant rate it on what I like, but will rate it on the fact its gonna be $25+ for any quality pizza in Providence and Pie-r never disappoints. Much less hyped than the place down the hill, but this is where you get a good value and better carry-out pizza. No it aint cheap. Wickenden St aint cheap. But this pie had merit, lotta onions lotta goat cheese wasnt light or airy and that works. It was kinda soaked and dense with goat cheese plus pizza cheese. It would have been easy to roll my eyes and find a white box parlor down the street (only Dunkin' Donuts and CVS Pharmacies outnumber pizza restaurants in Providence) but I didn't and I'm damn glad. It would be even more crowded during the day I would imagine but they made use of what limited space they have. We got a medium regular pizza which I thought was a solid cheese pie with some of it burnt on top.
